Good tour to Punta Gallinas with Pedro(driver). We took a private 3 day/2 night tour from Riohacha to Punta Gallinas with a stop the first night in Cabo de la Vela. We got Expotur from the Lonely Planet guide to Colombia and overall it was as promised. Notes below: 1. Only 2 dings against Expotur - their office was locked both times we tried to visit and pay even though they told us they are open until 6pm. And they were 45 min late picking us up (no reason for this when it is a private tour). 2. The tour accommodation is VERY simple - be prepared. Bucket of water to douse yourself for a shower and a bucket of water to flush the toilet. Electricity is limited, no WiFi the 1st night, simple meals etc. 3. We felt very safe and saw no problems. 4. You need a bit of cash to buy drinking water and snacks along the way, everything else is covered by the tour. 5. We upgraded to a room with a bed both nights (25,000 per person per night). More comfortable than the hammocks included with the tour. 6. Great photo ops of the raw and beautiful coast and landscape along the way. That's the reason we came and were not disappointed! 7. The drivers do not speak English - so be prepared.

Tour was okay. Driver was not a guide really. He made us pay for biscuits/cookies to give kids along the way. Interesting scenery but in retrospect, too much travel for what you see. I would have spent more time in tayrona or minca instead

Hicimos el tour de 3 días 2 noches a Punta Gallinas. La mejor elección!! La camioneta cómoda, con buen aire acondicionado, y segura. El tour muy bien estructurado y flexible con el tiempo si nos queriamos quedar más. Los atardeceres más hermosos, las playas amplias y un mar que no nos esperabamos, nada que envidiarle a san andres y baru. Noches que no se ven sino en el desierto, miles de estrellas, la via lactea en todo su esplendor y estrellas fugaces como en la tatacoa. Lo mejor de todo fue nuestro guía, Pedro, muy buen conductor, nos dio las mejores recomendaciones de comida y qué hacer!! Quedamos felices, y con ganas de volver!! Super recomendados!!

Très beau séjour de 3 jours dans le désert de la Guajira. Le 1ère logement était top avec les hamacs de notre groupe face à la mer, le 2e logement un peu moins bien car nous étions mélangés avec d’autres groupes un peu bruyants alors qu’il y avait de la place autour. Nous avons pu prendre des douches quand nous voulions. Les repas étaient très corrects, avec possibilité de langouste le 2e soit avec supplément. Ce que nous avons moins aimé est la voiture qui était vraiment vieille et sans ceinture de sécurité et notre « guide » qui ne parlait pas beaucoup ou alors très vite et sans articuler, ce qui est un peu compliqué à comprendre pour les non hispanophones et il ne s’inquiétait pas de savoir si on avait compris ou non, finalement c’était plus un chauffeur qu’un guide. Ce qui a gâché la fin de notre séjour et que l’agence nous avait organisé un retour pour Santa Marta directement à notre arrivée à Riohacha et déjà nous avons attendu 30 mins d’autres personnes, nous étions serrés à 5 dans la voiture et nous avons mis 4h à faire le trajet alors qu’ils m’avaient annoncé 2h-2h30.

Prima service en alles was goed geregeld. Helaas konden we vanwege het weer niet naar Punta Gallinas, maar kregen we wel een alternatief aangeboden (vogels kijken). Een beetje een teleurstelling en de ervaring was echt anders dan verwacht, heel veel rijden, wachten en weinig woestijn. Contact met klantenservice was wel prettig. Wat ik erg fijn vond is dat de chauffeur niet meedeed aan de "tolbetalingen" aan de kinderen, en zo dit ongezonde systeem in stand houdt.

Amazing experience visiting this region on the 3-day Punta Gallinas Tour with Expotur. We felt in safe hands with our guide Luis and everything was well organised and punctual. You definitely wouldn't be able to visit this region easily without a tour. You're crossing indigenous land and have to cross a lot of check points and give people food etc. There are a lot of children begging which is quite sad. The accomodation is quite basic, but you can pay $15,000COP per night to upgrade from a hammock to a bed, which I think is more than worth it if you want a bit more comfort. Veggie options are available, but not much choice (egg, rice, patacon and salad). We didn't go hungry though. Scenery is amazing, highlights for me were sandboarding down dunes into the sea, swimming in the sea on stunning beaches, sleeping in a hammock with a sea view, and how varied the landscape is throughout the trip. Tour is only available in Spanish, or you can pay $450,000COP for an English interpreter. The main attraction is the landscape rather than a guided tour, so probably not needed.

Pendant la réservation on demande d'avancer 90 000 (17€) mais le logiciel beug régulièrement : on me dit que ça ne fonctionne pas, et après plusieurs tentatives je suis débitée plusieurs fois. L'agence me confirme que j'ai payé trop de fois, et pour me rembourser je dois avoir un compte en banque colombien ou alors PayPal.. super ! Après avoir trouvé quelqu'un qui a PayPal, j'attends des nouvelles de l'agence de Cartagène pour un virement, ça fait maintenant presque 2 mois que je relance plusieurs fois, sans succès.
