Facinating building with a lot more to see than you would expect from the outside, well worth the €5 entry fee. The museum details the journey that St. Paul made to and through Malta and the grotto is where he stayed during his time on the island. There is also an extensive network of underground catacombs to explore, as well as large underground WWII shelters. Above ground, the museum is quite extensive and contains a multitude of artwork as well as other artefacts.

A beautiful church, it radiates peace and tranquility, captivates with its size. It's worth a look. We were lucky enough to be there when the bells rang. A special experience.

Really nice church beutiful on the outside and so much history on the inside, the grotto is actually quite special and the ajoining catacombs and WW2 bunkers really make this a special visit. Take time to have a drink in the sunshine in the sqaure and just take in what you saw.

(Translated by Google) The famous cave of San Pablo, where he was imprisoned for three months, is under this church, but it is not accessed through it but from the Wignacourt Museum. The church, as I was told in the museum, opens in the afternoon. I tried to visit it twice but it was impossible. The church is built in Roman territory of Melite, which included this current part of Rabat. There were numerous churches built before this site, which is from 1683, financed by Guzmana Navarra. In 1336, Bishop Hilario refers to her and also to the crypt and cemetery. Next to it is a smaller church dedicated to San Publio that was rebuilt for the first time in 1692 and again in 1726. The church is built on part of the site of the Roman city Melite, which included all of Mdina and a large part of present-day Rabat. There were numerous churches built on the site of the present church which dates from the 17th century. In 1336 bishop Hilarius refers to the church as ecclesia Sancti Pauli de crypta, and also mentions the cemetery and the Roman ditch. The present church was built to replace a church which was completed in 1578. The new church was built with funds provided by the noble woman Guzmana Wikipedia

This architectural beauty holds a very special place in the history and religious heritage of Malta as it is closely tied to St. Paul's stay on the island as mentioned in the Bible.

Fantastic. Great place well worth a visit to the church and catacombs. You can wander around the catacombs and air raid bunkers then onto the amazing church. 5euro here is well spent for an amazing place to visit which is so full of history that can never be replicated.

(Translated by Google) What is this scale? Catacombs have entrances from 1 to 23, reminiscent of the Valley of the Dead in Luxor. Compared to the Catacombs in Rome, I felt that this was digging freely. As I go down and up the stairs one by one, I get sweaty if I don't have enough time (laughs).

(Translated by Google) Church Paweł is located in the same building as the church of St. Publius, they have a common facade. Paweł is in the middle, Publius on the right and the left door is ... false, they lead to the back of the church and were placed by the architect in order to balance the composition of this beautiful building. I did not see Paweł because he was closed, Publius is open from morning to 5pm, but this is the story Wignacourt Museum ;-) It's worth it. And you have to spend a little more time because it's interesting. 10 €. Muzeum Wignacourta;-) Warto. I trzeba temu poświęcić trochę więcej czasu, bo jest ciekawe. 10 €.

Better than the Sant Paul catacombs, and without tourists. The grotta of St Paul was free to visit a few years before and now you must pay 5€ because is part of the tour. The entrance is in Wignacourt museum.

One of the many stops we made on our roadtrip throughout Malta and this place is in my top 3. There's a small entrance fee but I think it's totally worth it. The most impressive part of this was the grotto/underground catacombs. The catacombs were dug out by HAND and it's ....incredibly extensive. Very cool. There's a small cafe inside the building!

Another beautiful basilica in the Mdina new town. Visited this while the sunday mass was taking place so we were respectful in observing the architecture without disturbing the prayers. Must do but do avoid sunday mass.

Well worth the visit, and the cost is minimal. Can easily spend a couple of hours here. Downstairs contains the catacombs to be explored and St. Paul’s grotto. The upstairs contains many paintings and church artifacts. We are very glad we took the time to tour here.

This is a must see landmark for all those who visit Rabat whether you are a Christian or not. From the grotto where St. Paul is believed to have spent three months to the titular painting by Stefano Erardi or the frscoes by Coccoli, the basilica is a treasure trove of art, history, culture and pilgrimage.

(Translated by Google) I enjoyed the cathedral (associated with that of Valletta) and the visit to the catacombs of Saint Paul. It would be appreciated if the comments were expanded for the visit of the catacombs not to lengthen the journey time but to soak up the place and imagine and feel what was experienced in temporis. Il serait appréciable que les commentaires soient étoffés pour la visite des catacombes n'ont pas pour allonger le temps de parcours mais pour s'imprégner du lieu et imaginer et ressentir ce qui était vécu in temporis.

Just 600 meters from Saint Paul's cathedral. Have to be seen. One ticket for the dome, cathedral and cathacombs is purchased. Again you shoud dedicate around an hour there and all closes at around 17,18:00.

This place is in a beautiful little town, there is a little shop/pastry/bakery stall selling all sorts of Maltese goodies....all hand made by the woman's husband. Delicious. The grotto/WWII shelter is interesting and more importantly it is gloriously cool.

(Translated by Google) First I looked at the museum of the church and I couldn't believe how big the collection of silver and murals is. Much comes from the Middle Ages. There is also a special exhibition of works by Albrecht Dürer on the 1st floor that fascinated me. This museum is absolutely worth seeing. The employees are extremely nice and always open to all questions. The cathedral next to it is very impressive and admission is included in the combined ticket for EUR 10.
