Amazing. Absolutely amazing. From top to bottom you can experience a wonderful stay. First of all the cleanliness of the hotel is splendid and well maintained. Even the bathroom with a effective water heating system and a room heater. It is most important to mention the view is heavenly. When talking about food, it is simply exquisite and they mostly serve local dishes. The staff is courteous. It was more than worthy for the price. Loved the stay. There is no need of any objection or thinking twice to give five stars. Three cheers for cottage 42.

Very cozy hotel, right in the centre of Nuwara Eliya. Staff is attentive and rooms are clean, all commodities provided. And all that for more than adequate price. Recommended!

Cottage 42 was a sudden booking but we never regretted. Its such a beautiful place 😍 Rooms are spacious enough and tidy. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful and so calm. This is actually a villa with 6 rooms located in walking distance to the town. We truly satisfied with their friendly service and delicious food. Roshan the caretaker was so helpful and pleasant during our stay. We love to Visit this place again and I highly recommend this place for pleasant stay at Nuwara Eliya. ♥️

Beyond amazing to stay here! Great location with walking distance to everything, very attentive and friendly host (my train arrived very early and they had the room ready at 9am already!), great views from the room, i found even another bed upstairs on my last morning ☺️ breakfast is yummy, theres a heater and hot clean showers, also very affordable. Would totally stay here again!

Cottage 42 a cosy little cottage right on the border of the town. Conveniently located. Walking distance to everything. Clean rooms n bathrooms. We were given room only as the cook was off but food was not a problem as restaurants are close by... Reasonably priced.. Owned n managed by Vision Care Options..

Horrible place. Don’t go by the reviews as this is a scam. I went there booked a family room. The second bed is in the roof and you need to climb up using a straight ladder !. Bathroom door cannot be locked. We checked out immediately. Don’t even come closer to this place.

Now this a great place for a cheap night stay within the city. However, bring your own towels. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Since it's in the city center, closer to everything. Usually a quiet place and safe. No air conditioning. Only breakfast offered here and it's tasty. Wifi available.

Undoubtedly one of the best places to stay in heart of the city center. Our room was small but very clean. And we liked the fact that it was small so it keeps the warmth wrapped inside. You’ll get free speedy Wi-Fi, TV with cable connection, AC if ever needed and hot water shower. One of the key points we liked about is convenience of getting there. It was faced the main road and you have parking for 3-4 vehicles. Next the staff, they were very helpful and willing to help you at anytime. And last but not least, the breakfast was fresh and delicious too. As conclusion, I can suggest this place for anyone who seeks the value for money.

Luxury room 😂😂 absolutely not ! Not clean as luxury room should to be. Don’t waste your time and your money on this place. They should to clean and do some renovation.

Great place to stay near the city center. I stayed here for 1 night with my boyfriend and we had a pleasant stay. Its location is really good. It is just a 5-min walk to the city center of Nuwara Eliya and within walking distance to Gregory Lake and Pedro’s tea plantation. The room was great and the bed was comfy. Sana who is a member of the staff who attended us was very nice and gave us good recommendations whenever we asked him. All in all, I highly recommend this hotel.

Run by Vision Care. The staff were phenomenal. They were friendly and made sure we were at ease. Safe place for families. The breakfast I had on both days was tasty. (Milk rice & string hoppers on day one and Western breakfast on day two) The location is also ideal. Right near the town centre. Banks, supermarkets, and restaurants are available at walking distances. Suggestions: Set up the TV and have a cloth rack. Overall, I can recommend this place and I will visit again if I'm in Nuwara Eliye.

Brand new hotel with great rooms. I had a great stay in this hotel. It is brand new and nicely decorated. I loved the balconies and the common rooms which have sofas, tables and chairs to sit down and relax. The staff were very nice and helpful at all times. The location couldn’t be better - it’s right behind the bus station in the city center - and the room was clean and spacious. Many thanks to the staff for the good care they took for me!

Enjoyed a night at this hotel during my solo trip. Impressed by the excellent room amenities, cleanliness, and quality, especially considering the budget-friendly price. Kudos to the caretaker, Manoj, for outstanding service. Conveniently located within walking distance to the town.

Highly recommended. Really enjoyed the stay and I visited 2 times there, my last visit was 4 days & 3 nights, as the service was excellent.
