Dam, fell right down the rabbit hole on this one. Read every review and i know i shouldn't do it but I'm gonna. 20-40 minute wait for food, yep that sounds like every fish n chip shop ive ever been to. Chips were soggy, their cooked in vegetable oil after a certain period of time that's gonna happen. I miss the old days when they deep fried in animal fat chips were crispy and delicious when you got em,when you got em home,the next morning after 5 minutes in the microwave, still crispy and delicious! Would be nice if they had a phone line so you could pre order for pickup, 8 months i think she said that they've been at war with telstra trying to get a line put in, i shouldn't start on telstra this is long enough already. I go there every couple of weeks, always get the same thing hamburger and chips and its always good, taste, price, serving size, build quality of their burgers is ideal you can actually take a bite out of the thing without all the fillings slipping outta the bun. Five stars, awesome!

Fresh oil, perfectly salted chips, home made potato scallops (they even threw one extra in!) and affordable prices. Great for a quick bite to eat before or after the beach!

Worst fish and chips ever. The NZ battered cod was dry and chewy...batter was greasy and fried in dirty oil. How can anyone ruin chips? Chips were dry and poor quality. Best thing was the garden salad. Service was so slow... took about 1 hr to get our order and no notice given of the wait time when ordered or an apology from staff. Customers were very disgruntled waiting outside. Never go back

How the heck do you stuff up hot chips?! I asked for extra crispy as they are quite thick chips and will go soggy by the time I drive back to my resort. The chips were completely burnt and cooked in the dirtiest oil! There’s has been a change of ownership since last year and quite frankly I prefer the little family who use to run the joint. Prices have also gone up since change of ownership.

Friendly local fish and chips store. But fish itself (NZ cod) is a little bit dry. As for calamari rings, lots of batters on the outside. Chips are relatively thick shape.

Oh my goodness. I have never had such an amazing fish and chips. The cod was Huge and sooo fresh. Not oily and chips crisp. The lady that ran it, was so friendly. You MUST try their food, it's an experience you won't forget. A massive Thank You.

Don't waste your money. Worst fish n chips. They were over cooked and dry. It was too busy to complain I was that hangry. Over priced, long wait and a let down on delivery.

I read a few reviews about these guys and didn't have the same issues that some people mentioned. Ordered Calamari and Chips for $10. Calamari portion was huge, fresh and crunchy. Chips were the thick square chips that you don't get much anymore. Service was good also. Not sure about the other places in town for fish and chips but I'd have no issues going back to these guys.

Very nice, lots of chips, good price and cooked well. Very pleasant people even when busy.
