As wine importers we’re on the road *a lot* and I must say this is one of the finest hotels we’ve ever encountered. To say nothing of the interior renovation, furnishings and menu offerings (all of which were impeccable), every single member of the staff made us feel like we were guests in their own home as soon as we walked through the door. Casey, Mindy and Halsey made this stay truly memorable in a way we never could have expected. We arrived with our stomachs empty and we left with our hearts full. The platonic ideal of hospitality! When can we move in?

My stay at the Heights House was wonderful! My husband and I stayed in the King Deluxe Suite for our wedding weekend and we both felt so treated during the entirety of our stay. The staff was lovely and very responsive. Every time I texted with a question or concern they responded immediately. Heights House is one of a kind and I’m so thankful we found this special place!! We will be returning for anniversaries to come!

This hotel/old house is a breath of fresh air in the Raleigh hotel scene. If you wanna pay a little more, it’s worth the stay. Personally, I’m tired of staying in the usual brands in Raleigh. While this is an older house converted into a small boutique hotel, it is beautiful inside and out. It is super convenient to everything in downtown Raleigh. The location is perfect. The only thing that was odd about the room I stayed in , was the bathroom. It’s an old house so they have to do unique things to make bathrooms work in old homes. The inside of the hotel has a mid-century vibe but in a centuries old house. I love what the owners did to make this a reality. The decoration interior design and everything else about the house is modern even though the house is super old. I simply loved it! The staff is very friendly and helpful. I felt like I was staying in someone’s home while at the same time staying in a luxury hotel. Worth every penny. If you want a different place to stay and pay a little more, please stay at Height House. You are gonna love it. I promise!!

What an amazing place to stay in Raleigh! Professor Mindy was the perfect hostess for my short stay. Definitely will be back. Rooms are great. Food and beverages are great. A/C was blasting. Property is A+. They even had an extra charger available for my Android phone. Don't go changing!

All I can say is WOW! My friends and I attended height house for the first time for drinks and we had a blast. From the beautiful house, outstanding staff, and delicious food and drinks, we are already planning our next get together. Mindy and the bar staff were extremely welcoming and sweet and made sure all guest were happy. We had the best charcuterie board in Raleigh with truffle honey (I mean come onnnnnn). We did not stay at the hotel since we are local but I’m sure the rooms were decorated just as beautifully as the other areas of the house. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend!!! We will be back! ! Thank you height house for a wonderful night!!!

The thoughtful and innovative restoration of this historic home is reason enough to stay at the Heights House Hotel. Moreover, the reasons to return are myriad. Welcoming guests with a complimentary libation sets the stage for an exceptional experience. Interacting with staff is always cordial and immensely helpful. The grounds are meticulous with sitting areas (including the fire pit) enhanced by flowering plants well into fall. The bounteous and delicious breakfasts vary a bit each day to include a new quiche and pastries. The addition of afternoons enjoying the food and drinks from the Parlor while sitting on one of the porches is not to be missed. The beauty and graciousness of the Heights House will brighten your life for a spell, much like the stained glass ceiling of the rotunda, and you will want to return.

Simply amazing. They thought of everything. Down to the deflector on the air vent above the bed so the air would not blow directly on us while sleeping. Charcuterie board and cocktails were phenomenal. The common spaces are spacious enough to accommodate a number of guests and still feel like you have your own space. Breakfast was amazing. The staff members were awesome. We did a one night "staycation" last weekend and we will be back soon. A true gem.

My husband and I stayed here during orientation at NC State. It was a fantastic; staff, rooms, history ….everything about the house was exceptional. The staff treat you like a personal friend and go out of their way to elevate service at every opportunity. I will definitely be looking for excuses to need to spend the night in Raleigh in the future!

I first heard about Heights House when I was assigned a photoshoot of the hotel by Walter Magazine. I was immediately taken with the architecture and interior design. It is a lovingly restored building with all of the modern amenities. In addition to the aesthetics, I loved the enthusiasm with which Sarah and Jeff have brought their dream to life. This past weekend was the first time I had occasion to actually stay at the hotel as a guest with my husband. Although I knew it would be beautiful, it took staying to realize how truly well thought out the hotel is! From arrival through the two days we stayed and through checkout, it was a lovely and relaxing experience. Of note, it is probably the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in - perfect to help you relax in. All of the staff were welcoming, friendly and clearly there to help with whatever you need. The many lounge spaces give you the sense of staying in a very nice friend's house rather than a hotel. There are lovely little reading nooks and seating throughout the hotel. Our room was well appointed with a comfortable bed, frame tv, controls for the ambient lighting in the room (love this!), temperature control (super important) and a luxurious bathroom. The shower had great water pressure (also super important) and wonderful smelling amenities. The only thing the room lacked was additional comfortable seating aside from the bed though since the hotel has so many lounge areas, it wasn't that important. Espresso bar and continental breakfast were a nice touch. A surprise was the option for on-site massage! Cassandra is a great massage therapist and truly worked out my stiff and achy muscles. I cannot recommend the hotel enough!

Second time we have stayed at heights house and was an even better experience than the first! We had a staycation for our wedding weekend, they had our room open and ready when we got there with a complementary bottle of champagne! Had the BEST massages the next day and loved the parlor room bar/charcuterie tray! Loved just sitting around the grounds! Breakfast in bed is a must!

My husband and I had a local “babymoon” at the Heights House. The property is beautifully done, very quiet and relaxing since it is adult only. We enjoyed our stay and the ability to walk to nearby restaurants, grocery stores, and shops. The only minor negative thing is that the faucets in the bathrooms are extremely close to the bottom of the sink, making it difficult to use. If you are looking for a very peaceful adult getaway, this would be a great choice!

This was a fabulous boutique hotel. The service was friendly and efficient. The hotel is beautiful and clean. Top notch bartender with lovely cocktails. We enjoyed sitting outside with a beverage before going to dinner. High quality bed linens and towels. One of the most comfortable beds ever. Will definitely return!

We had an amazing weekend stay at Heights House Hotel. This historic Raleigh house was remodeled beautifully and we enjoyed the unique decorative touches in all of the common rooms and our own room. It was interesting to learn about the history of the house when we first checked in with Mindy. The complimentary bikes made exploring downtown easy and fun. The rooms were clean and breakfast was delicious every day.

One of Raleigh's hidden gems. The atmosphere is above and beyond your expectations. I secretly visit this place with only my closest friends for the perfect cocktail, the perfect charcuterie, the perfect seating, the perfect views....

Heights House is a beautiful boutique hotel within walking distance of downtown Raleigh. It is gorgeous in every way. The staff is welcoming and helpful. The rooms are very quiet and are tastefully decorated in a minimalist fashion. I highly recommend it.

My wife and I had a fantastic staycation at the Heights House. The hotel staff were extremely kind and friendly (being greeted by the receptionist with a glass of Prosecco was a nice touch). The hotel’s restoration was masterfully done - giving modern comforts while maintaining the historic nature of the home. Perfect location walkable to some of our favorite bars and restaurants. The breakfast and coffee were also awesome. We will be back!

We booked a room plus made separate reservations at their monthly supper club for our 30th anniversary. The experience was so fun, the food spectacular, the service was tops and the atmosphere was magic. I can hardly wait to book again.

I cannot begin to describe how beautiful and amazing this hotel is. The staff were incredibly, kind, helpful, and a pleasure to talk to. The drinks were amazing, the bed comfortable, breakfast was delicious, and you can't beat the location. Highly recommend!!

Stayed one night on our way from Pennsylvania to Savannah. Property both inside and out was very beautiful and impeccably maintained. Only two items prevented a 5-Star Rating. 1. Our room was equipped with a "wet bath" (where the toilet is located in the shower area) and we are not a fan of that arrangement. 2. The hotel hosted a corporate hospitality party that dominated the complete first floor. We were never told of this function, which force us to enjoy our cocktails on the front porch (which was lovely) but we could not enjoy the parlor or any of the other first floor rooms. Disappointing!

Upon our arrival on a vibrant Sunday, we were greeted by the lively atmosphere of the ongoing Pride party - a thrilling testament to the hotel's spirited community engagement. We also learned that the Heights House Hotel regularly hosts 'music on the lawn' events, adding a melodic touch to their repertoire of recreational offerings. The check-in process was remarkably efficient and straightforward. Our room, the Honeymoon Suite, was a visual feast - a note to curious travelers, it's not exclusively for newlyweds, and we found it perfect for our girls-only getaway. The suite was an impressive blend of elegance and historical charm, showcasing the impeccable restoration of the hotel's architectural heritage. Each corner of the hotel, including our suite, was a testament to luxurious comfort while maintaining an inviting ambiance. The suite featured a splendid clawfoot tub, a state-of-the-art shower, a double vanity, and a generously spaced bedroom equipped with blackout curtains. The fragrant soaps and lotions further enhanced the opulence of the room. During our stay, we visited the quaint and stylish Parlor Bar for cocktails and appetizers. The creative genius behind the bar menu is Will Bryant, though on the night of our visit, it was Donnie skillfully shaking and stirring behind the counter. Under their combined talents, the cocktails, particularly the 'White Lotus' and 'Blanco Rosa’, were as smooth and delightful as one could wish for. The hotel also offered a delightful "Breakfast in Bed" service. Requests for this or any other needs such as extra towels or wine glasses can be made through the user-friendly "Whistle" text feature. The meals were delivered promptly to our doorstep, adding a special touch to our mornings. Our experience at the Heights House Hotel was absolutely enjoyable and we wholeheartedly recommend it to our friends and family. We eagerly look forward to our return to this charming, well-appointed retreat.

Our stay, while only overnight, was fantastic. The property is beautiful, as is the house. The room was comfortable and very well decorated, and the overall feel of the public rooms were elegant yet comfortable. There is plenty to do that is within walking distance. There are a lot of great restaurants, bars, and a few venues that you can go to for easy entertainment. Once we parked, we didn't have to touch our car again until we left.

Wonderful experience all around. Everything meticulously planned and executed. Loved the interiors and knowing mostly all are sourced locally attests to the owners’ thoughtfulness and care for Raleigh and its history. Jeff the owner could not have been a more pleasant steward of this historic property. He and his team have revived it to its best incarnation yet. Liz in dining has an enthusiasm that matches her craft. Heartily recommend to anyone looking to sink into a calm and enjoyable stay.

My husband and I loved our stay at Height House. The house was absolutely stunning and no details were spared. We enjoyed the fresh cocktails at the hotel bar and the delicious charcuterie board on the grand balcony. Our room was stylish yet so comfortable. We will certainly be back again!

Had the most wonderful stay at Heights House this past weekend. I was immediately taken away when I first walked in, as the renovations and updates they made to this 1858 hotel are just spectacular. It just got better with the service, the unique features in each room (especially the bedrooms), and the delicious complimentary breakfast. Can't wait to bring my husband back for the next trip!
