Beautiful park with a large playground for kids of all ages. The train around the park was more fun than I thought and great for taking pictures. There is also a place to eat and a carousel here as well, and plenty of restrooms. You can even take a paddle boat out on the lake!

Very beautiful peaceful park with gorgeous nature and playgrounds. Cool thing that it’s close to the city and can be easily driven to in 15 minutes. Haven’t been there at the busiest , parking was really easy to find . There is a beautiful small lake on premises as well . Overall pretty park for relaxing

This is a beautiful family park for smaller kids to enjoy. The scenery was absolutely beautiful ! There is a carousel Ride, Paddle boats, and train ride for kids and adults. I enjoyed the electric scooters that was there to rent as well. The park is not big at all, but it is worth checking out. The prices were amazing! I will be returning for sure !

One of the Top Five parks in the Greater Raleigh Area! Has a working choochoo train that goes all around the park pond, has a full carousel, and little boats for the kiddies, and also paddle boats on their pond. Such a beautiful location for photography too! I have shot students and families here many times. Has a fun playground area all spread out for all ages to play at. Also has food and treats for sale at their concessions stand. Has a large pond with two double bridges and a gazebo island area. This park is the most well-kept park in Raleigh, and is always beautiful and has flowers and visually appealing plants planted year-round.

Did you know that Pullen Park is 5th-oldest amusement park in the U.S. and 16th oldest in the world. It is also the first public park in North Carolina. At Pullen Park you can rent a pedal boat, ride a carousel, take a swim, sign up for an art class, see a play, play your favorite sport and more. Unfortunately, all of this is fun things is unavailable due quarantine. But at least it's open for a walk. You can enjoy very tasty ice cream. Make a nice picture and just relax with your family or friends. There are a lot of hungry fishes and ducks.

Wow, what a fun packed day for little as nothing! We only spent $12.00 for 3 people to ride the carousel and train. I felt like a kid again, and my husband and son truly enjoyed themselves! There is fun to be had even if you spent absolutely nothing! Take some time to check it out. You will thank me later! By the way, the all beef 🐄 chili 🌶dogs 🐕 were delicious as well 😋.

We had a few hours to kill before we went to the airport for a flight home. I looked this up and decided to try it. What a hidden gem. It was just my hubby and I. The carousel and train were operating for children and the playgrounds were open. Not overcrowded with kids and people. We were able to walk around the pond and over the bridges without overcrowding. We could also sit quietly and just watch nature. There were turtles and geese on the pond and flowers. The concession stand was also open so we could get a snack and a drink. We really enjoyed our time there and then went on to the airport from there.

A fun park for all ages. Rode the train which runs along the park boundary, it was a short lovely ride. This beautiful park has a lake with fountain and boat riding activity, walking paths, bridges, playing areas, kids activities, carousel, shelters, benches, kiddies boat ride etc. Well maintained restrooms. Parking available but may gets busy on weekends. It has no entry fee but activities are chargeable.

This place is awesome. Even though the train and paddle boats aren't available it's still a great place to take the kids for an afternoon

Had a lovely experience at Pullen Park over Labor Day weekend. We were able to ride the train, carousel and Kiddie boats. The cost is $2 per ticket and it's easiest to use your smartphone to buy tickets in advance. There are several different playground areas all designated to fit different ages. Gorgeous flowers and plants. Beautiful landscaping. They also have paddle boats for rent and a nice walking trail around the lake.

This is a great park, not just because of the attractions and play area, but the history also. It makes it all the more enchanting. The train and the historic carousel absolutely delight my toddler, as do the paddle boats. Be prepared to wait if you go on a weekend, though. There's pretty much no wait on weekdays. There's picnic shelters and grills, and a great playground, with stuff for kids of all ages. The concession stand also has great food and treats, and the restrooms are very clean.

Park was very clean. Masks were worn by others. We were visiting from VA, but kids had a great time. Definitely work visiting. The park is also very wheelchair accessible. Park staff are friendly and helpful in answering questions. Tickets are available online for rides, one ticket is all you need for everything.

We love going to Pullen park! It's hours of family fun! Between the carousel 🎠, train and the playgrounds, it's hours of entertainment! The cafe is excellent and has lots of great food! And we never miss the loco pops!

Beautiful public park with a great history. The old rides are really nice. I love how they have preserved the carousel, It feels like stepping back in time. Very family friendly with lots of activities. The rides I felt were reasonably priced at $2 each.

This is a 5 star park but only gave it 4 star due to lack of parking spaces. Otherwise beautiful serene peaceful park with natural beauty surrounding it. Definitely highly recommend taking the train!

This is such a cute park. I love that they different play areas for kids in different age group. The train that goes around the park is cute and very cheap to ride ($1.50 each person). I like that they have a little cafe with a sitting area (shade and no shade) that sell a variety of food from snacks to a meal. Price wasn't too bad. It's cool that because it is a big park, they have more than one bathrooms and in different areas. Definitely a great place to hang out with the family or friends

MY BABY LOVEEEEED THIS PARK!!! The oldest felt as though the playground designated for them left little to be desired but my youngest loved EVERYTHING!! The water and sand play was his favorite and the toddler play ground was right up his alley. He didn't need any help there. Plenty of open space to run around. The train was a favorite for all of us!

This park is fantastic! The park is free (though maybe not for specific events). There are train rides, carousels, and more for kids at a reasonable price. There was also lots of statues of dinosaurs, food court,, playground, and more. There were a lot of families and some older people here. Great place for kids!

Somehow after reviewing this park it popped up asking me to review. I guess my review disappeared. We visited in April 2022. This was a very nice park. I would definitely recommend if you have kids. My kids had fun.

This park is so great not just for families with small children, but anyone. You can sit under trees, near the water and just relax. They allow you to bring in your own food and beverages even though there is a facility on grounds. Great place to enjoy the day

Great place just on the outskirts of Raleigh. Perfect for a family outing, picnic, or date. Train ride was quick but worth the 2 dollars. Food was a fair price and left me satisfied. I would recommend over many other parks.

Pullen Park is North Carolina’s oldest public park, and the 5th oldest operating amusement park in the US. There are lots of flowers and gorgeous landscaping to enjoy while strolling around the park. And there is a little train you can ride that circles the park. The real highlight here however is the Gustave A. Dentzel Carousel which dates back to 1911. I may or may not have pushed some children aside to make sure we got on the cats! There were also giraffes, goats, bunnies and of course plenty of horses. Took me right back to childhood. Well worth the $2 ticket price.Swan shaped paddle boats are also available for rent. Plus plenty of play areas for kids and some other interesting things to see like a retired train car.

The park is beautiful and I'm absolutely in love with the cypress trees around the grounds. However, one really big problem that we encountered is that there was music playing over a loud speaker. I imagine that for most kids, that would be fine. Unfortunately for us, my daughter is autistic and music triggers meltdowns. It's a sensory thing. We were trying to walk to the park area to see if we could get her to play a little bit, and as we got closer to the music she got upset and we had to leave. It took over an hour to calm her down. I know that our experience isn't normal, but it would be amazing if more places considered children that aren't neurotypical and maybe could skip the music or have sensory friendly days or times without it. It's so hard to go anywhere outside of our home and parks are usually a safe place. I don't imagine that we'll be back because of this. That being said, it's a lovely little park and I think most kids would really enjoy it.

Great Park. Lots to do. The pool is closed but they dont list it on their website as closed so we packed for swimming. The little rides are cool and very affordable. The playground is Awesome and has a nice Sand Area to play with Sand and dig. The two female attendants at the entrance were more into their cell phones than paying attention, directing, and helping which was unprofessional. But overall, the Gazebos are nice and affordable and its a nice park.

My first visit on this park. Safe, clean & very relaxing place. Love the concept that it's a combination of nature & some theme park ideas in one place. Perfect for family or couples to make good memories. Kids will probably love the playground area & the carousel.

An absolutely beautiful park and great assett to the community! There are plenty of activities to keep any child happy for hours on end. Also, it's worth noting that while the supervised activities close by 6pm, which google maps notes, the park and playground area stays open much later.

We visited during the daytime during the week and it was a quiet escape from the busy city. We indulged our inner children and rode the train around the park and then the carousel! I definitely recommend this park for kids!

Came here as a kid to ride the attractions, but this park is lovely as an adult too. It's especially nice for a walk in the fall, as it is less crowded but the landscaping is still beautiful.

Great place for kids of all ages. My parents used to take me here when I was a kid, so I really enjoyed taking my daughter here very nostalgic the food isn’t that great but I don’t expect much from a place like this. We got nachos with meat and cheese and the meat could’ve used a little more flavor, but will definitely be back!

Went during the Luminocity Festival and it was absolutely beautiful!! Was pleasantly surprised they had food!! My daughter loved the carousel! The bathrooms weren't horrible either and I hate public bathrooms. Looks like they offer a lot outside the festival during the day! Train rides, an amazing playground and swing area, and a water paddle activity. Great Park!

We loved the pedal boats and even got to ride with my 18 month old! The train ride was amazing for the kiddos.. and me, too. :) My 18 month old loved the kiddie boat ride. There were multiple play areas for children of all ages, including sand pit play for younger kids. I highly recommend going if you haven't been before! I also love that it's free to enter and use all playground areas. You only have to pay for the rides which are very inexpensive compared to other places.

This is a great place to take children. The cost for the rides is very reasonable. There are plenty of free play areas to spend hours at. You can stroll around and admire the pond, flowers or geese. There also might be local events on the lawn that you can join.

Pristine park within the city of Raleigh NC. It is beautifully landscaped around ancient trees. It has plenty of paved pathways and bridges with benches and seating areas to enjoy the beauty from. There is plenty to do. You can ride a train, a carousel and paddle boats. There are picnic areas and playgrounds for toddlers to older children.

  • 5/5 Stephy M. 6 months ago on Google
Very pleasant park to stroll through and enjoy all of the trees; there was a great variety. The paths were easy to navigate and it wasn't crowded at all during the week. I was also impressed by how clean the park was; it looked well-maintained.

  • 5/5 Ryan S. 3 years ago on Google
This place was great, but their covid procedures are asinine. First, you buy tickets for the train, etc., then they check to make sure you don't have a fever (seems a bit backwards). Next, they take down name, phone #, age, and temperature of each person. It takes forever

  • 5/5 Roopesh K. 5 months ago on Google
The park is iconic as being one of the oldest in North Carolina and US. Become a child by taking ride in train or carousel which is housed in a round building exclusively for carousel, all for $2.00 per person. There was decoration for Christmas but perhaps more appealing in the night.

  • 5/5 Vinay K. 6 months ago on Google
Amazing park rides are so dang cheap… kids will have a lot of fun.. each ride is like $2 to $4. We went on a weekend and the park was crowded.. but all the rides are fun.. my kid love the carasol.. We went on the boat ride and it was super hot that day.. save your energy if you want it boat ride.. they give you 30 mins but you will be done in 15 mins.. The train ride takes you around the park which give you a good view of the park.. You can buy tickets online and no need to wait in line for the tickets.. Park is small and easy to walk around.. which I really like and you dnt get tired…

  • 3/5 Julie G. 1 year ago on Google
Very nice park for families with small children. Really nothing to do for children over 10 years old. The rides are for about 6 and under except for the train & 1 climbing thing in the playground. Plenty of benches to sit.

Beautiful scenery! Not too expensive. Only 2 attractions open. The train ride was great although, short. Wintertime, although it reached 70 today, i think. All the little cartoon-y characters were so awesome, even dinosaurs! But they only had a few lit up at dusk...I wonder why. Pretty great menu- ALTHOUGH, NO CAPPUCCINO, and out of chicken for the quesadillas...We saw dogs all over the park. Multiple playgrounds and restrooms. 2 picnic areas- you may bring in a picnic/food.

  • 5/5 Kaini F. 9 months ago on Google
This park is beautiful! Love the different types of activity you can do with your kids. The playground is huge and if you want to go for a nice walk, they have various paths you can do that with. Definitely recommend for a nice family day!

What a great place to spend time with your family and friends. Absolutely neat, clean and safe place. They have everything a small kids need. My kid live animals so I brought him here. Off course they don’t have real animals but except ducks but he enjoyed the fake giraffe and dinasaur and all other cartoon characters he had seen in TV. Train ride was just $2 person and we enjoyed counting Easter eggs on our way. They have lot of picnic areas, slides and swings for kids. A day well spent here.

  • 5/5 Janet C. 11 months ago on Google
Great park that feels like an amusement park for young families. Super cute and clean and lots of things to do from carousel rides to train rides to boat rides in the lake (buy tickets in advance online). Our family loved it and so did our dog. This place is dog friendly except for the playground portions of the park which do not allow non-service animals.

Haven't been to Pullen Park in years. Went for the Luminosity Festival on Friday and had a wonderful evening. Even got Mom's to ride the carousel. Nice stroll through the park, reminiscing and enjoying the lights. If you enjoy the Lantern Festival in Cary every year, trust me, you'll enjoy this festival.

This place was unexpected fun. Sure, there was an event happening, hence the Womderland characters and themes. Still, I imagine even without this park, it makes for nice afternoon strolls or jogs. We went with friends who brought their young son and from the look and excitement of him, I must believe this is a place children absolutely love.

This is one of the most beautifully planned parks in Raleigh. I always go and have a fantastic time(even during Covid). The park is so well kept, I never feel like it's dirty. There are plenty of things to look forward to, even with the amusement rides and the paddle boats being closed. I can't wait to go back again soon! Very relaxing and a great place to go on a walk.

This was a wonderful place!! Everything was amazing especially the parks and the train. We could only wish that the carousel 🎠 was open.Another thing was that the tickets didn’t expire! The ice cream and food place was good too.I only wished that hadn’t closed at 6:00. Everything else was a blast!! The is a great fun park that we will surely come back!

It's definitely a nice place with beautiful scenery. Beautiful large pond and bridges for picture taking and having parties, as we saw several today. There is a kiddie boat ride for kids but it is dreadfully slow. The train ride is okay. I think with all the hype, I was expecting more or for it to be larger. I would rather take my familty to the Children's Museum of Life and Science in Durham. But the prices for the rides are super low! So thats a big win!

Super cute, fun filled park that was perfect for my 18 month old niece. It’s a very nice area with a carousel, boat ride, and train. My niece was tall enough to ride the boat technically, but they said she was too small to go alone. Just a heads up to those thinking of how many tickets to buy. Also, you can buy tickets online ahead of time and save yourself standing in line once there.

The park had lots of things for children to do. Since it was an awesome day, the park was crowded. The park could have provided hand sanitizing stations. Some were wearing mask, others weren't. But I understand that we were outside. There was not enough room for social distancing. I took my grandkids away from the play area and we had a picnic without a lot of traffic. When others saw us, they chose to maintain safe distancing.
