I booked a week for an employee looking for a cheap place to stay. He called me from the lobby and said "I can't stay here, there are crackheads everywhere and people here have guns." He did not check in. The hotel would not provide a refund even though he didn't even stay. Avoid at all cost unless you are into the above mentioned activities.

I didn't get a chance to stay. GHETTO. I had a booking the door was locked. I seen the owner looking stupid. They steal customers information and post false advisements. I would rate them a zero if I could. Theses rooms should be rented for $$20. VERY LOW Budget. 😡🤮👎

Front desk service was good. Showed up to hotel and crack heads were fighting in the street. Got to the room there was cigarette burns on the bed, cigarette burns on the bath tub, hair in the bed that wasn’t mine. If I could rate this place a zero I would. Do not recommend.

TERRIBLE STAFF TERRIBLE SERVICE , everyday housekeeping literally skips my room, i work nights and have to get up and chase the housekeeping lady. Kevin is rude and hires equally rude staff. They have people hanging outside all night and security once a week. Roaches, all that. If i could give no stars i would. dont stay here if not necessary. The rude , lying, disrespectful staff and ownership should be a clear indication when you’re about to check in that you’re going to have a bad stay. Oh yes don’t forget the fire alarm being pulled once or twice a week.

Spend the extra money and get something better. This place is horrible. Lots of activity outside. Took almost an hour to check in (after I prepaid online) and they send you up to your room to make sure "it's ok" and sign multiple papers saying it is.. just in case you want to leave and get any money back. Cigarette burns everywhere. Bathroom door almost broken in half. Everything leaking and the bed was terrible. I paid extra for an in room jacuzzi that I was afraid to touch.

One of the worst places to stay in Raleigh. The owners are racist. The rooms are full of roaches. They have plenty of illegal activity. Check out is at 11am. They will be at your door by 930am screaming check out. They charge you to clean tour room even if they dont that particular day.

Room smelled like cigarettes even though it was a non-smoking room: bathroom door was stained needed cleaning. Bed smelled like smoke. Small hole in bathroom wall. Tub had stains around and inside, from old age most likely. There is no lock on the door which is major concern for me. TV remote was broken and had duck tape holding it together. Overall you can tell the place is old needs renovations. I would rather sleep in car.

My friend father booked a room for his graduation. Walked inside the room he had roaches crawling everywhere in his room including flies & dirty sheets. Under the sheets was bed bugs & also broken air conditioner. The customer service was very poor they didn’t have a care in the world about they customers we’ll stay. I’m so glad I book 4 stars & up I have sleep comfortably. That was a sad situation my friend father had to go through that. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL EVEN IF ITS AFFORDABLE ITS STILL AFFORDABLE HOTELS OUT HERE FOR YOU GUYS THEN THAT RAGGEDY PLACE.

It was the worst experience ever when we got the paperwork we had to fill out it said we had 15 minutes to either change our room or get refunded so when we went to our room someone was in there so we went back down stairs and told them that there was someone in our room so they gave us another room and it had a bunch of roaches so we went back downstairs and then when we asked for a refund but they said no cause our 15 minutes were up but it was there fault for giving us a room that already had someone so we ran out of time cause of them

Good front desk people. They know what they're doing. The people around this place are here because its cheap. They may also be there to run personal pharmaceutical businesses. If anyone asks if "You good?" They are not aaking about your well-being. Expect people to ask you for free stuff too. I was asked if I had a card and to take a few people to the gas station. The keys have to be reset everyday. Still a doable location. Just be aware of where you are on New Bern Ave. You will make friends if you smoke anywhere on or near the property.

One of the worst motels in Raleigh, I wouldn't recommend anyone to spend any amount of time motel!motels!! I wouldn't even let my dog stay there !!! Roaches galore, holes in the walls , cigarette burns in bed spread &sheets , old dirty mattresses !! Horrible night !! Random weird people hanging around and walking the motel the entire night !! Not a place to take ur lady friend unless u got a hood rat or don't want to impress or keep her !!

The hotel rooms were okay I mean looking past some of the rooms. The first room me and my boyfriend got had holes in the bathroom wall and stains on the tub and some roaches but what do you expect for a pretty cheap hotel? Our first night went ok before a shoot out happened at 2 in the morning and our room was taped off along with a few others. We were not able to get switched and in till 5am. The staff was SUPER I mean super understanding and sweet. Despite some sketchy activity like the shooting and the cops being there the staff has been super helpful. There are people here who are like a family and people who LIVE here just wanting peace because that’s all they can probably afford everything is expensive what do you expect? I wouldn’t stay here for a whole week personally but with them switching our rooms for us putting us in a safer spot a few days couldn’t hurt as long as you check where the room is at and make that choice for yourself. Only thing I wouldn’t recommend is that if u can afford a little more do not bring your kids or families here if you know a safer and better spot. In all honesty now a day nowhere is safe if you think about it but hey you still get a roof over your head you get to see people sticking together which you rarely see and you get friendly staff and neighbors.

This is a disgusting low budget hotel and you can tell when you pull up in the area you have crackheads surrounding you it makes you feel like you are being held hostage and Baghdad I wouldn't recommend this hotel for anyone

Rooms always have crack glass in them on floor. People outside talking loudly by your room. Major traffic and disturbances. I was charged a. Extra 20 bucks for having company unexpectedly. Would not change rate back to 60. Forced to checkout. Dude name kevin is money hungry and will call police to have u removed for anything. But wont follow through on you wishes for comfort.

This motel is one of many in the Raleigh area. That is unbelievably filthy, disgusting, unsanitary, unfit. And the amount of illegal activity going on is just outrageous. I would not recommend anyone staying here, especially not someone who is post op or has young children. The staff is kind enough. But unfortunately that does not make the hotel. And when you have. Gun shootings and drugs and chaos. All the time, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. That is an unsafe and unsanitary place for anything human to be in. How disappointing to see. Someone allow an establishment to become such a filthy cesspool. I would highly recommend that this place be. Inspected. Condemned and shut down. It would save lives ultimately. It is perplexing. Why the city? Hasn't taken action on this establishment. As of yet. I'm not sure who the owner is. But considering the way that the. Establishment is maintained. I would wager a guess that they. Are either the same person if not a distant relative? Of the owners of Wake Inn. Either way, I would strongly suggest that you stay here at your own risk. There are bed bugs and filth and infestation and murders and drugs and chaos and. Everything you need for a recipe for disaster. And nothing that is family oriented. Or safe or encouraging in. Real life for? A normal Joe Blow.

The nice lady at the desk was extremely kind and helpful. I don't think I've ever had staff this incredible at any hotel I've ever been to. The rooms were exactly what you expect; small bug problem, fist-sized holes here and there, but everything was pretty much clean. Not to mention the surprisingly effective security system. Someone tried to break into my room around 2AM, but not only were there two types of locks in place (one inside the room and one part of the door), but an alarm went off with a noise level fit to wake the dead-sounded like a fire alarm at first. The person who tried getting in ran like Hell, but you bet I was awake and alert thanks to the alarm. Bed was surprisingly comfortable and everything in the room was fully functional. It was $69 for me and my grandad to stay one night. Not a bad price at all! Definitely wouldn't mind staying here again next time I'm in Raleigh.

The room was dirty and smiling. There is smoke in the room. I saw several cockroaches and I even took pictures of them. The walls have holes and the bath tap has terrible stains. Nobody should use this hotel

The tub had permanent stains. Holes in the walls and bathroom door. Staff had to bring us a new TV and phone. Also 2 times the fire alarm went off. There are only 3 positive things I can say. Price location and extremely good staff....we will not stay here again.

The washrooms weren’t that neat. The service was cool . Professional. The location looks unsafe . At midnight there are random groups of people walking around the place

Please don't not stay please for your life your kids life and family life don't do it this hotel is the one of the worst hotel in Raleigh besides Raleigh inn and wake inn they are run by the same people so Don't do it they need to be shut down .

I was visiting a friend...it seemed ok...but we all know things ain't what they seem lol...it's in a good spot and location with a lot of action if that's whatcha like...hey...I can stay anywhere so as far as I'm concerned it's alright...Budget (el) Inn...and Suites yuh feel meh...

The rooms are okay just somewhere to sleep and wash for a night or so. It's just up to the person or people. I did see a couple of roaches in my room though 339. Other than that it was okay.
