First let me just say THESE PEOPLE WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY!!! I came to this hotel from out of town to stay for one night. They give you a paper to sign with a list of rules about not smoking, etc. Which is fine...I don’t smoke anyways. I was simply looking for somewhere to stay one night before I traveled back home to another state. The next morning 30 mins after I checked out someone called me from this hotel saying the hotel room smelled like smoke and I would be charged 50.00, I said sir I don’t smoke. If I walked back in that room it would have only smelled like perfume. This is not how you treat people!!! Thankfully I have a trusted bank and they were able to dispute the 50.00 and give me my full refund. I’m warning you now if you stay here they will steal from you, HANG UP ON YOU, and block your number. But my GOD my God! He SEES all things high and low... God bless.

I don’t typically leave reviews for places. However, I feel like this deserved one. We came in super late for our stay. When google maps told me to turn in, I thought it was a mistake. There is a gas station in the parking lot of the hotel. Outside, there were crack addicts hanging around and ZERO spaces to park. I had to park illegally overnight and prayed to God the rental car didn’t get towed, broken into, or stolen. Directly outside the front door people were loitering and there appeared to be a party group looking to take the party into the hotel. Once inside, the lobby was clean and the gentleman checking us in was friendly. When we got to our floor, the hallway smelled of mildew, cigarette smoke and bad Indian food. The room also smelled slightly of cigarette smoke. Room was clean so it was an ok enough place to rest. When we headed out the next day, we discovered the source of the Indian food. Next to the elevator were 2 over flowing trash cans that appeared to not have been emptied for a few days. The area was scary and honestly I would not stay here again if it were the last place on earth. I believe that the management should have vagrants removed from the property for the safety of their paying customers.

Stay somewhere else! My fiancé and I had booked a room for 4 nights we left after the first night. First, you park and it’s in a REALLY bad area. Then you walk inside and the front desk is not very nice. They said there would be breakfast in the morning but when we went to the lobby for breakfast there was no breakfast. You walk down a dark hallway that smells like mold and armpit and the rooms smell the same. The rooms have paper thin walls, we could hear everything our neighbor was saying. The bathroom is covered in mold and rust. The door to the hotel room looked like someone tried to break in previously. On one of the outlets in our room there was a questionable brown substance on it. Do not stay here!

The place it self it wasn’t that bad, their is food places around. However the cleaning it self was terrible. Bed bugs in the mattresses, towers were all broken, and rip, bed sheets were dirty with food. When I went to front desk the front desk personal was very rood, no need to be nice but they don’t have no need to be offensive. This guy even start screaming at us in the front desk, because I was asking about my deposit not to be hold for things that were wrong since we got there…. Please stay in another place don’t fall for the price like we did….

5/23/23 Update: This location has now put me on a "Do Not Rent" list because I complained. This was my first experience at a Microtel, so I did not know what the process was for extending my stay. I had called the 800 reservations number to facilitate the extension and the CS person I spoke with also did not inform me of the procedure. I am sure anyone can imagine my surprise when the owner's wife came knocking on my door asking me to leave! I got into discussion with her (and later her husband) about what needed to be done and the lack of communication about it - she said "this isn't an Extended Stay Hotel, if you want to stay you should have come downstairs and paid us." I asked her to repeat what she said, thinking that I had misunderstood. She repeated the nasty comment and said that I should have known to come downstairs to pay, but she would not make me leave *this time* if I took care of it ASAP. I went downstairs to take care of the bill, and began interacting with the man at the desk (the owner). As I was taking care of the bill, I was expressing my shock and disappointment in the bad info I was given by the reservations person and the comments made by the woman I'd encountered upstairs. He began getting irate, repeated the comment about not being an Extended Stay hotel & told me I could just leave if I couldn't afford to stay or maybe I was used to staying at a different type hotel. I didn't exactly know what he meant by that, but it was highly offensive and I told him so. If I hadn't been stuck there with no transportation I would definitely have checked out and not stayed or paid another night! The only bright spot was the front desk STAFF, who made an otherwise horrible trip a bit more tolerable. 5* for THEM. Also, I am glad i asked for a copy of my complete folio, because this location tried to cheat me out of my $50 deposit. I know full well that if it was a temp hold the charges should never have appeared on my card statement but sure enough! $50 charged on 3/12 but the paper folio shows that the funds were released. If I hadn't recently reviewed the folio (intuition calling!), I never would have seen the charge. This is FRAUD and I shudder to think of how many customers this has been done to. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again, and probably deactivate my Wyndham account. Your operators are your brand...this location is an EPIC FAIL for generating repeat customers.

Very poor stay! Do not recommend. Loitering was at an absolute high. Did not feel comfortable. The rooms were decent, but you can’t have guest in the hotel. Only 4 ppl max is allowed in a room. The hotel was stank and smell like smoke. Save your money I will not book again

The guy at the front was did his job but seemed like he wasn't really there. The hotel itself was pretty nice considering was I paid for the room and it was a place just to put our head down for the night sheets and linings where all clean as was the bathroom. Of course the was some people yelling down the hall which was frustrating when we had to be up at 3 in the morning. Overall though of your looking for a decent place to stay and a good price it was well worth it in my opinion.

I was pleasantly surprised how clean the hotel was and well put together. I know some would not assume so based off the location in the way it looks on the outside, but this hotel definitely deserves recognition. The colors the decoration inside the hotel are very nice and pretty. The rooms were clean and well put together . I had absolutely no issues , there was a busy street in front of hotel yes but that’s about it. If you’re not timid person you’ll be fine. Nothing out of the ordinary when you’re by the city and there is all types of people surrounding. It doesn’t take away the value from the hotel in my opinion. The hotel staff was nice and friendly, my kids loved the free hot breakfast that was included. Over all the place Is up to date very clean and they stay on top of cleanliness and appearance. I couldn’t have been more pleased. Will definitely book again if need be.

Do not believe all the bad things you read about this place. The staff is excellent and the rooms have been newly remodeled. My room was spotless, not one problem in the world. Yes, they are a few stragglers walking around the area, but the people that found problems with that have obviously never been to a city. You can’t even get in the establishment without your keycard and nobody bothered my car they are cameras all around the outside. I was almost about to pay for a much pricer location just based off reviews that I had read up here. I’m glad I didn’t. I saved well over $60 dollars.

Room I was assigned was clean and there were no smells or complaints. There is a complimentary breakfast every morning (nothing fancy but it’s free). Staff was attentive. Now the bad news. The area where the hotel is located is home to more than a few drug users. On my four night stay, I witnessed people smoking crack pipes in the parking lots, a stabbing right on the front door during the middle of the day, and constant roaming of shady people outside. Definitely not a good place if you have kids or are not used to this kind of setting. Other than that, if you’re a rough one, are traveling by yourself, and are not planning on hanging around long, this might be a good stay.

Stay somewhere else! I've never left a negative review before, but this place is awful! First off, they take a $50 "security deposit" to be returned in 3-5 business days if they don't find damage to your room. When a guest asked if someone could sign off on their room before they left to acknowledge there was no damage so the deposit would be returned, the manager said it "wasn't his job". When this nice guest asked whose job it was, the manager just walked away from the desk Like that poor man, I dealt with two different managers while there and both were intolerably rude to me and to others.Never going back.

If you’re just looking for a place to sleep for a night, this will work. It is in a bad area so you’ll see several homeless people, addicts and/or people asking for money. It wasn’t anything fancy, the rooms were surprisingly not the worst given the outside and entrance appearance but there was some hair and stains on the towels/wash rags and the only pillows available were throw pillows. There were noises outside of our room throughout the night, but considering all this it could’ve been worse. Wouldn’t recommended it for extended stays or if you’re a woman traveling alone but was fine for one night and the price.

For the price we paid it was a nice hotel. Clean rooms, easy check-in and check-out, friendly reception. The entrance is locked and your given keycard for entry, plus available parking at premises. The only major down side is the rough crowd that hangs out there. I suggest getting in before dark, to also ensure you’ll get front row parking and traveling in pairs or groups.

The location isn't the best, but the rooms are clean. My only issue was the room I was assigned to, for disabled people, not happy about that. The hotel wasn't full either, although I requested a different room, and was granted the change without hesitation. The one thing I'm not happy about is that management and housekeeping moved my things out of the room without my permission. When I got back to the hotel, I stop at the front desk, asked for the new room and key, which was given, but on my way to the room to pick my things and transfer them to the new room, the cleaning lady asked me if I was going to my old room, and I said yes, I need to get my stuff out of the room, she replied with I already did that, they are in the new room. I've been to many different hotels and have come across similar issues with the room I'm staying, but not once I ever had the cleaning lady move my things without my permission or acknowledged that they're will be making this change. So, I didn't appreciate that.

Never doing business with Wyndham again. Do not come here. Kicked us out after asking us to pay to make a reservation and pay a deposit, after previously paying for a reservation via the phone. Building was covered in mud, dust, slime and slag. Disgusting. The inside was even worse, as it smelt like sweat and Lysol. The tenants were aggressive, unhelpful and rude. It’s in the most run down part of town, to say the least, the shopping carts on their sides are the nicest thing to look at.

The rooms are extremely CLEAN!!! Looks like they renovated the entire place. Nobody smokes inside, the place smells clean when you get in. the location is okay, downtown is super close, the place is secure all the time always locked. They have cameras everywhere.

I paid for a 1 night stay here and got up to my room and it was not clean. The sheets were dirty, the towels were dirty, the floor was not swept, it was so nasty! I decided not to stay there. It shares the parking lot with a gas station and seems very unsafe. I would not recommend this for anyone to stay at!

My daughter came to Nc for a college orientation. I wish I could give this hotel a (-1)negative review. The hotel felt very unsafe. The pictures are very deceiving. Next to the hotel is a gas station that seems to be lots of traffic that was indulging in criminal activities. Ppl hang out in front of the hotel. The hotel floors were dirty and bathroom in our room look like it haven't been cleaned in months, just a total let down. We were only there for several hours. We didn't stay the whole night because of the dirty room and the area. These owners should be ashamed of themselves. I usually don't do reviews but I felt obligated to warn others about the conditions of this hotel.

I had a confirmed reservation booked on line but when I showed up they told me they canceled my reservation and sent an email the night before. They said it was because my Credit Card was denied and this is not the truth. Never had a card denied. They were able to sell the room at a higher rate since there was a concert so canceled my reservation and resold my reservation. Do not rent from this place!! It might have been best that the room was canceled since it is does not look safe even in the daylight.

I stayed two days here. The room is very comfortable and so is the bed. The staff is very friendly, especially the people in charge of cleaning. Breakfast is deplorable, there is no protein at all, just sugars. The entire hotel smells of marijuana, both inside and out. There is a lot of noise from other tenants, the advantage is that the bedrooms have soundproofing. I am a woman who likes traveling alone and honestly I felt unsafe going out, since there is a lot of drug movement near the establishment (Not in the hotel)

I do not recommend, my friend and I stayed here and the location was terrible. They are located directly in back of a gas station, the gas station has a lot of heavy traffic, suspicious people loitering all hours of the day and night. People came up to my car begging for money. The front desk lady and front desk guy very rude. Our toilet was clogged upon arrival, called down to express concern and was greeted with distain, they sent a maintenance guy, he fixed it, we thanked him and he proceeded to leave without saying a word. I went to take a shower and there was a roach crawling around in the tub. I called down for help no one ever came. My friend had a roach crawling on her pillow! I was very disappointed with the front desk staff and that roaches were visible and roaming around.

First floor room right off the lobby, no other rooms available. They were vacuuming at 11pm, loud people, and at 5am started getting ready for breakfast. If you want rest, not this place.

  • 2/5 Vinsha T. 1 year ago on Google
Front desk was rude and harassed us during our entire stay. No guest were allowed in the facility and we were not made aware until after checking in. Rooms are mediocre and well kept.

  • 1/5 Caroline A. 1 year ago on Google
The manager was extremely rude and this place is a fire hazard because all of the windows in all of the rooms are sealed shut. If there had been a fire in the holiday I would not have been able to get out of my room. When I brought this to Management's attention, they threw me out.

Cancelled my reservation then called the police on me for trespassing because I asked to speak to a supervisor after the woman was being rude! I asked if she was having a bad day? The supervisor which is her boyfriend obviously did not want to hear a thing I had to say canceled my reservation then politely called the police and gave a description after moments earlier aggressively cursing me out! Disgusting!!!! Not meant for my people! His disgusting behavior was recorded as Well, I hope this location gets shut down permanently!!!!!

Rooms were good, the location not so much. The breakfast is not great, no hot food, they can really do better. If you need a hotel with clean rooms, tv & basic amenities then you're good.

  • 2/5 Sherry K. 1 year ago on Google
The room was actually nice. I always do my own sanitizing. But the front desk customer service was terrible, no personality at all. He was only interested in the game he was watching. As a customer I was in the way. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS KEY.....

I have never had such a bad hotel experience ever. BEWARE LOCATION IS AWFUL ! there is a gas station in front that people are at all night yelling and walking around. Within 2 hrs there was someone knocked out on a sidewalk firefighters, 2 gun shots with people running around. Cars revving up there obnoxious engines ALL FREAKING NIGHT. I also write this at 1 am because after 2 hrs of listening to people YELLING,ARGUING THROWING STUFF SLAMMING DOORS down the hall I had to call to complain which I have never in my life had to do. Now, the receptionist was very nice and did help, the room and bathroom are clean. But I came here only for 1 night to sleep which has not yet happened , clean is great but when the environment is this bad it outweighs.

The rooms themselves were incredibly clean and modern. Unfortunately the elevator was out so we had to drag our luggage upstairs, not so easy at 8months pregnant and in 90° weather. The worst part out of our whole stay overall would have to be the location of the hotel. It is literally right in the hood drug dealers in the parking lot, heavy police presence, ect..

I saw a previous review and I was there during that same timeframe. Garbage needs to be removed at least daily if not twice daily. No breakfast choices, blueberry muffins and breakfast burritos for bacon eaters. I don't think it is difficult to order simple egg or egg an cheese burrito. But to be fair it is listed as two stars.

I LOVED my stay here! The room was very nice and it had a refrigerator and microwave. I also liked the customer service in addition to the location because of the many food options within walking distance including Wendy's, Wafflehouse, Popeye's, etc. The convenience store/gas station in front is GREAT because it is convenient and they have lotto!!! There's nothing worse than staying at a hotel in the middle of nowhere. THIS IS MY HOTEL ANYTIME I COME TO RALEIGH!!!

  • 2/5 Shanice H. 1 year ago on Google
Only giving two stars because the room it self wasn’t completely horrible. 1. Hotel is literally in the middle of the hood if you’re not familiar with the area. 2. Nothing on the hotel page matches what the hotel actually looks like maybe the building it self and the two orange chairs by the fire place but that’s a small part of the lobby . 3. Towels and wash cloths were disgusting. I went for new ones and they were still stained and dirty after asking again I figured there was no point because those were stained and what we call it in the islands “bad color”. 4. Room had a weird smell and hall way carpet was filthy . I brought my own sheets for the bed and I forgot to bring towels and I regret it . I wasn’t expecting it to be like this at all Pictures on the website looked great and I didn’t see many bad reviews. If you are ok with all of what I was talking about then this is for you. I guess you get what you pay for !!
