Frankly, 1 star is incredibly generous for them. I arrived with my friend that I brought it with a wheelchair. The check in was relatively easy but that was quickly overshadowed by the baffling poor experience that followed. My friend was in so much pain, vomiting and groaning and we were told there were no rooms so to go back to the lobby. She needed to lay down on the lobby couch and while I was helping her, the security officer came and asked “are you going to leave your car there”? I was baffled and didn’t even know how to respond to him given the circumstances. He proceeded to tell me that my friend was fine on her own. When I come back from parking, my friend is bent over throwing up, in excruciating pain. The doctor that helped her was great - kind and caring. There are rules about wearing masks inside of the hospital which I am absolutely comfortable with following had that I being told from the get go. Instead, I had 3 nurses come in a rudely tell us to keep our masks on while in the room and out. How unnecessary. The majority of the staff has no business working with people. I’ve been incredibly better served in a vet hospital than here… That being said, do your best to keep your loved ones AWAY from this place.

This is absolutely the worst hospital I’ve ever been to. When it first up opened up I love going here. I don’t know what changed but it’s the complete opposite now. The doctor started off by saying she didn’t know what I was here for after I had already explained it to the nurse in detail. The nurse was extremely rude and was rolling her eyes the whole time. The insurance coordinator asked me if I had medicaid which I don’t. This hospital needs to be invested immediately. The standard of care from all of the staff was horrible.

Kidney stone pain is not fun and my doctor was very short and did not respond to me in a timely manner also told me a CT scan was unnecessary and kept trying to give me Percocet… and they aren’t working. I asked for fluids and different pain meds it’s been 2 hours. Maybe if doctors got really sick and felt the pain of having 4 kidney stones they would feel different about them. And handing out pain medication that actually works!

When you go to the emergency room, you think it is a place, as you know, attend to the emergency room. I go to the emergency room with my 18-month-old baby, who has a cold. He has trouble breathing. He quickly tires. They had already treated him at an emergency room and they did a respiratory therapy because they had heard a whistle in his lungs they call me today to find out how my son was doing I tell them and they tell me to take him to the emergency room I waited more than 6 hours for them to attend to him and I had to leave worried about my baby waiting to take him back to the urgent care because the emergency did not attend to him and did not take him as a priority being such a small baby and with a problem in his lungs

Yesterday was the fifth time in as many years that my family has needed Wake Med ER in Brier Creek. We have received excellent care every single time. I was favorably impressed in 2017 and just as much yesterday. Our care was quick, efficient and effective. Things have changed a lot since I was a full-time Medical Technologist. I worked and taught in DC, VA, MD, PA and two hospital and a university in Indiana. I'm well- versed in what makes a good ER. Wake Med checks all the boxes. Your staff is well-educated. They work fast, but efficiently. They are able to chat with patients who need to talk and able to just help when we are petrified. Most of all, they are kind and decent, willing and able to help. I am very grateful that we are so close to you all, and that we we smart enough to walk through your doors.

I recently had a physical exam with Samantha Elmore. It seemed from the get go that she was looking to me to lead the physical exam. From the questions asked, to being unsure as to what she had already completed, she did not seem confident in performing a physical for a patient.

I went with my dad a few days ago, the doctors were okay but the nurses and receptionist were pointless. No empathy nor care for their patients nor my father, one nurse threatened to have me removed simply for expressing how urgently we needed help in that moment. The rudest woman i’ve ever met, I don’t even know how or why she’s in this field—if you don’t have sympathy or the patience to support & be there for your patients, perhaps consider a different career because it definitely left us feeling like the only thing they cared about that day was making a pathetic check.. I would never recommend anyone get care here because you won’t receive it. If anything we left feeling worse. Another patient who was waiting had to assist us because nobody wanted to do their job that day apparently. Even the security was useless, I asked for a wheelchair and he literally replied “What do you want me to do about that?”. Useless staff.

First off the staff is so amazing they are helpful and very sweet. When I walked in and registered, I was going to sit down and before I could even do that they were already calling me back to be admitted. The whole place is clean and organized. I also like that they are very professional and they value privacy which is nice when you don’t want everyone hearing your business. Manny my nurse was so sweet and took his time to explain everything and also to make me feel comfortable. Lastly, DR. Pushchak really looked like he cared and listened. Not that I ever want to come back to the ER but if it were to happen in the future, I will definitely be coming here.

My girlfriend received the worst treatment with this hospital full of travelers (not even staffed nurses). I couldnt be more outraged with the way everything was handled. I showed up and recorded my encounter since the staff was laughing at her and treating her unhuman. The lady at the front desk was rude aswell. Called the security cop to tell me I couldnt record (I was doing it for court documents). The officer then failed to show me where it says Im not aloud to record, then threatened to get me with trespassing unless I deleted it. I became nice said okay. Apologized for being rude on the phone earlier. And deleted the video. He continued to act out of rage and treated me as though I was garbage. They still failed to give me the nurses names and they weren't even nice about it. No one there was understanding of her situation and she is my rock. If I could have the owner or anybody higher up contact me that would be a blessing. Everybody needs love in their life, not hostility. Thank you.

Clean facility, polite and friendly staff. I came in after midnight last night, with my 9 yr. old for severe abdominal pain I am having. The staff was understanding, kind and accommodating to my little one, while also attending to my needs. Very quick and thorough evaluation and treatment. Check-in was completely hassle free. I am extremely thankful for the experience given the circumstances that led me to need an emergency room visit.

My family and I drive more than an hour, from Fayetteville, NC, for the bedside manner and professionalism of the Healthplex staff. My family was treated with respect and dignity when had an emerging health concern as a family. The ED staff coordinated our triage, intake and patient care as a family. The ED should be commended for making sure we weren't split up and as a mom- I didn't need to be worried about one child in one room, husband and other child in another room. We were able to be treated with respect. From intake to discharge, I am so pleased with how quickly and kind the staff was. I hope they are given the appreciation they deserve because Healthcare is a thankless job. I would suggest they have more resources for cleaning the waiting room and other key areas to ensure high traffic areas are sanitized often. I do appreciate that everyone was kind and thoughtful.

Today was my first and last time going to this ER. The PA who saw me was rude and unpleasant. She did not help me to feel any hope about my condition; in fact she made me feel worst than ever!! Never will I go back there...EVER!!

I visited WakeMed Brier Creek mainly because it was close to my home BUT I am so happy I did. Loved the experience. The staff (tech who checked me in, tech who drew my blood) & Dr. Samantha Liane Elmore were awesome. Left feeling like I was in a partnership (opposed to be being told what to do). Fingers crossed the dr. & staff don't move & the patent care standard remains a main focus point

The best healthcare related experience of my life. The entire staff was professional, courteous and reassuring. Rarely does anyone want to be in a situation where they are in the hospital but I hope they are in the hands of a place like WakeMed

Beverly A. the emergency room receptionist was very disrespectful, and made my entire stay bad just from her customer service skills.

Received excellent, thorough care within the ER! From the nurse, to the X-Ray technologist, to the Doctor! All amazing. Any concerns that I had were addressed with urgency. They monitored me closely and kept me abreast with everything during my care. I would highly recommend!

Worst hospital, was there for 3 and half hours waiting. Which they let 4 people who got there after me go first. When I confronted the front desk, the man stated that the nurses were picking which patient was next. Right after that a nurse came out and stated that I would be next. Which I did not feel comfortable after that because they only help me because I complained and was speaking out loud about how rude they were to my care. Would not recommend this hospital.

ER staff could not have provided better care. Dr and nurses communicated well each step of the care process. Text messages were also helpful. Thank you for everything!

Today my pregnant wife was admitted with a broken foot. She was given a broken ice pack and told she would be seen as soon as they can get to her. The lobby was empty. I knocked on the triage door to ask how long will it be and this Spanish lady came out yelling with an attitude and told the security guard to come and get me when all i asked was how long will my wife have to wait since we’ve been there for 40 mins already. The security guard said “ I can’t take it or leave it”. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had and the security guard/ police officer was being irate. I am filing a complaint against him as well.

My 1st visit to the Brier Creek Wake Med Complex was amazing. It was amazing because for the first time in my life I saw doctors and staff who looked like I do. Dr. Chelsea Ngongang is an amazing doctor who not only treats her patients but is genuinely concerned about her patients. She is the best Cardiologist I ever had. She is congenial, courteous, and professional. Those same 3 qualities are synonymous with her staff as well. She has 3 staff members who in my opinion can handle any situation that may occur. They are named Syl, Jenica, and Trish. These women are the best I have ever seen. If anybody is looking for a quality, concerned, and caring Cardiologist and staff, Dr. Chelsea Ngongang and her staff are the way to go. These women are AMAZING!!!!!

My husband and I have been having our lab work done here since we moved to Raleigh a few years ago. Lab staff are always friendly and professional, we rarely have to wait to be seen, and results are available quickly. The lab service is top notch.

Every single person I came into contact with was professional, caring and very pleasant. Other than being in an ER, it was a really lovely experience. Dr. Mcalarney was a calm, relaxed and calming presence.

This hospital must hire 🦥 for employees. They are so slow. I sat here for over 2 hours just for a splint. Than i overheard the advisor ask the nurse if i was to leave would i be billed. The nurse response was "He can leave". If you are in pain do not come here.

From the time I arrived the staff greeted me with courtesy, compassion and concern. Carby at the front desk is a consistent professional and the nurses and on staff physicians are phenomenal.

Best care I've had in a long time. Front desk operators were kind and courteous, very short wait times and doctors and nurses took care of my needs promptly! I have no complaints whatsoever.

Drove here after being told it was a 8+ hour wait in the pediatric ER. Can’t say enough good things about this ER. My daughter had an issue, shes 2, all the nurses, the respiratory therapist, imaging staff and doctor were amazing. Nobody likes a long wait, but it’s not their fault and they do all they can to keep you updated and help you understand the care they’re providing.

This was the best hospital visit I have ever encountered. It was very clean. I was checked in and called back within 5 minutes and before I was finished getting triaged in the examining room the Dr came in to assess me. About 10 minutes later he came back to give me meds for my dental trauma I was experiencing and ordered me prescriptions til I could see my dentist this upcoming week. And about 15 minutes later I was being discharged. Was the fastest experience at an ER in my life, but even though it was fast the doctors and nurses were so thoughtful and caring. It made me feel really comfortable and would definitely recommend this hospital to anyone in need of medical attention

Kind and professional ER staff even on a busy night. Went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and understood everything that was going on. Hopefully you won’t need it but if you do - I highly recommend this ER.

Mom came in by ambulace lower back pain.😷 It still took a little while but was worth the wait. 🥺 I hope I have the names right 😊 NURSE he was so kind to my mom and did a great job explaining things to me and keeping me calm (I so wish I could remember his name) and Dr Piqueras was patient and gentle with Mom. Thanks for making a scary time not so bad.

I came in for some tooth pain early this morning and the experience I had was some of the best medical care I've ever had. The staff is super friendly and care about trying to get you feeling better. Waiting room time was quick as well.
