The end of the India mainland in the East. Very scenic place. Ideal time to visit is at Sunrise and Sunset. Due to its strategic location both can be viewed nicely. Roads are nice. The drive is amazing as both the side there is sea. In the evenings it gets very crowded. The police shut the area by 530pm. In the morning they open by 6am. The one thing I would like to point out is that the local civic body has not maintained the place at all. There is lot of garbage around and people park the cars haphazardly. There is full of commotion especially in the weekend evenings. Such a beautiful location should be well maintained by the authorities as it’s a good potential tourist spot. It also is the responsibility of the tourists visiting to not to strew garbage around.

One of the Iconic places you must visit in Tamil Nadu. Beautiful place where the Indian land ends, it consists of a round-about at the end of the road. Usually the place is crowded. From here you can able to get a clear view of gulf of mannar, small islands etc. Had a wonderful experience here!

The end point of the Indian mainland in his East. It's got a great view, very peaceful and tranquil place to enjoy. The color of the sea has been just awe. The road from the Rameswaram to Arichal Munai is a mesmerizing one with one side the Ocean and the other side the Sea. We went on a weekend and the crowd was huge, the single policemen posted there found really difficult to control the mob. Mostly the place is famous for its sunset, but tourists are not allowed after 5.00PM so it's almost impossible to see the sunset.

It's a spectacular coastal stretch caught between the Bay of Bengal and the Indian Ocean. An unending blueness of water on both sides is absolutely stunning. The roaring ocean is precarious but the crowd engages in bathing despite categorical warnings issued by govt. The beach shacks offer fresh seafood at inexpensive rates. Prefer travelling on rented vehicles since you will wish to spend more time.

Very beautiful place to visit. We can see two different sea together. Indian Ocean is unstable and with large waves and fast flowing wind. Where Bay of Bengal is calm and cool. Beautiful white sand, green and blue water, milky sky colors.

Beautiful place. Can’t explain how much I liked the view. The place looks beautiful. We went there early morning and able to see a beautiful sunrise. One side of it was sand we were able to walk through that. Not too crowded but it get crowded as time goes by. Near to that many small food stalls are available but it will be opened in the moon. Must visit place

Stunning views and drive. The road is beautiful. Both sides there is beach and water. Leave early morning to catch the sunrise as evening time they close by 5 pm and don't allow anyone to stay till sunset. Crowd management should be better by municipality and also there is a lot of plastic thrown all over which spoils the beauty.

Thanks to the National Highway Authority, now you can enjoy the breath taking scenic views along the narrow shoreline up to Arichal Munai. Approximately 25 km drive from Rameswaram. The beaches on both sides of the road are very clean and a tranquil place to enjoy if you visit in the morning or in the evening. The road is opened only from 7am to 5pm. Wish the authorities change the opening time from 5am to 7pm so that one could enjoy the magnificent sunrise and sunset from this spot. Highly recommended to take a bike ride along this National Highway. Quite rewarding experience.

Amazing place. Two oceans meeting point. One is calm and one is full of storm. Crowdy parking space issue at evening time. Try to visit in morning hours.. Evening time wind blown very fast with sand..

A very exciting experience to drive through that straight road to the end point. Crowded in the weekends and better go early morning or evening as it's too much sunny in the noon. Don't get down to the sea as tides are always high and it's deep from the beginning itself. We can pay 20rs per head to watch the Indian border point from the telescope service available there. Can see some Rama setu points. Overall a very memorable experience for sure.

Dhanushkodi beach is a must visit. The drive to the beach is absolutely stunning and scenic. The road with the seas on both sides - Bay of Bengal to the left and Indian Ocean on the right offers a mesmerizing view. It is the end point of India. There are no shops nearby, so make sure to carry food if you plan to stay longer. As the sun sets in, the town true to its name is also seen - the ghost town

With much expectations I visited this place in bike. I reached at around 5 PM, initially the place felt too sunny and crowded, but as the sun starts to set, we can feel the beauty of this place. The road in between sea is pleasing to the eyes. We can enjoy the ride to this place as it has a single stretch of about more than 5 km. This place always reminded me of a demolished livehood.

Driving along a road that is enveloped by stunning beaches on both sides was an experience that left an indelible mark on my heart. If you're a photography enthusiast, this road trip will be a dream come true. The picturesque landscapes, with the contrast between the golden sandy beaches and the vibrant blue waters, provide endless opportunities for capturing stunning photographs. Every frame felt like a work of art, and I found myself constantly reaching for my camera to capture the natural beauty surrounding me.

Arichal Munai I don't know the meaning of this place, but the place is wonderful and fabulous. I have no words to explain the area. Because what I felt when I travelled through the roads to the place was awesome. I prefer people to take a bike on rent if possible to this place, as it shows the nature's utmost feeling. I prefer you visit the place in the morning. During my bike ride to this place, I love the feeling of the fresh air on my face and the breeze blowing throughout my body. On the way, you can find a place where there is a dense forest of long trees, which will provide you with a picnic-like setting where you can take a rest for 10-15 minutes and have your snack, as well as a few memorable clicks. In between, you found Vibhishan Temple, which also evokes wonderful memories of Ramayana eras and feels blessed to be present there. As it's 25 km from the city, during my whole ride, I feel God's Ram and his presence because of the way the place was made and the way the environment reflects it.

Known as the end point or last land of India. The place is heavenly. If you are coming during weekends or holidays it's better to come early morning to avoid the rush hours. Before entering Dhanushkodi they will take ₹20 as entry fee in the check point and you should not throw plastic items here

Go to this place in the morning!!! And do not miss the piers that are enroute to the last here. The piers make for great photos. The morning visit will provide for lesser crowds and beautiful views. There sea food restaurants/stalls lined up on the road and those who love sea food should give it a try.

The east tip of India with sea on both the sides. Very fortunate if you have cloudy day! No shade or tree for obvious reasons. You can view the calm ocean and raising seas on another end. Unfortunately we are not allowed to take a dip, unpredictable sea pattern. Can go by shuttle bus, if planned early go by bike!! Very hot during mid day. No petrol bunk- plan ahead

This Place is the last road of India and from this very place Srilanka is only 40 Km, through the Sea route. Must visit this place you will love to see one side of the Indian Ocean and one side Bay of Bengal at the same time. If you have a drone for the camera you must take the best shots.

What a divine place.... Words can not explain the feel... Go in the early morning and enjoy the awesome sunrise view... Do not go in dark as on the way there are no road light and there is a long path of approx 10km in the jungle...

Nice stretch of 7kms beach on either side of the road. Very pleasant views of sunset. The last point is a circular platform which will be very crowded, especially on weekends. While reviews say the place closed by 5PM, i think they are taking about entrance to the round platform. The beach road is accessible anytime.

One of my favorite beaches! Always remembered for the pristine beach sand and vibrant blue sea that dazzles in the bright sun! That long straight road extending from Dhanushkodi to Arichal Munai is a absolute pleasure to drive! Open to public everyday, except for those days of cyclone! Peaceful sea, where even children can play without any fear! important information - the beach closes by 5 PM beyond which there is no admission to the tourists

The easternmost point on the Indian mainland a beautiful location. Sunrise and sunset are the best times to visit. Due to its advantageous location, both can be enjoyed. It has beautiful roads. The drive is spectacular because the ocean is on both sides. Evenings are when it gets really busy. By 5:30 PM, the police had closed the area. By 6 in the morning, they are open. There is a lot of trash nearby, and people carelessly park their automobiles. There is a lot of activity, particularly on weekends.

(Translated by Google) Fantastic place, road in the middle of the sea. The color of the sky is reflected in the water. View of a ruined town. It is currently being destroyed, and will soon be gone. Fun place. Raod leading to the point is so scenic with ocean on both sides. This is the last mainland point of India. The road ends at this point and a pillar with national emblem is in the middle of round circle of road. The beach extrusion is beside the road and need to get down from some rocks to start on the beach area. You can walk long when you get down from road on the sand. Beautiful and calm ocean and waves. Can have bath there and enjoy the beauty of sunrise peacefully. Not heavy crowded but won't be a small crowd. Two sides of ocean with different color of water and waves activity. (maybe that's just how I felt) One side was calmer while other side has more waves though nothing dangerous. Enjoyed much and didn't want to leave for few more hours but..

Mind blowing views here & extremely clear waters. Do not know if it is very suitable for swimming as currents are pretty strong and is generally not advised. One can find some good pearl necklaces here & a lot of local snack stalls selling raw mango, watermelon, nuts, cucumbers etc . There is a roundabout with parking as well. This place is shut post sunset & opens approximately at sunrise. The drive/ or bike ride itself is very enjoyable & beautiful. Standing at this point one can see the islands that eventually gets connected to Srilanka. After coming here, you can really understand why people talk about Ram setu so much!

Everyone's don't miss to see these areas. Beautiful of nature's power. One side calm sea. Another side big waves and you can witness the Indian Ocean joins with Bay of Bengal. One of best historical tourist spots in India.
