This place is a unique combination of a cafe, bakery, and coffee roastery. Everything they offer is absolutely delicious. They have a wide selection of cakes and breads to choose from. While it may be a bit expensive, every penny spent here is definitely worth it.

Zeit für Brot is a great cafe with killer cinnamon buns (Zimt Schnecke). The place was really busy and crowded during our Sunday late afternoon visit, which speaks volumes about the quality of their pastries and drinks. For the curious minds, there's a see-through kitchen which you may observe the master bakers making the tastiest cinnamon buns in Altona. It's kid-friendly, as there's a long bench provided for children to prop themselves up to witness the Meister in action. We didn't try the savoury sandwiches. The sweet buns we've tried were all so good that we had to buy more for tomorrow's breakfast.

Here, in addition to bread, you can get excellent cinnamon buns with different flavors, e.g. with chocolate, nuts and plums, but also with plain cinnamon. One of the best buns (Zimtschnecke) I've eaten. Friendly young staff. Breads and buns are kneaded and baked on site, and customers can also watch this activity through the glass.

There is always a long line of customers here and after my visit I can understand why: it is awesome! highly recommend the cinnamon rolls (along with a delicious cup of coffee). Friendly staff. You will reach this bakery after walking about 5-10 minutes from Altona's train station.

A coffee shop that I will definitely stop by when I go shopping nearby. This time I invited friends who came to Germany for vacation to try it.

Probably the best cinnamon roll I've ever had. I had one with fresh plums, it is incredible. They have an incredible selection of bread and I would not hesitate to try all of it. Really good service too They take credit cards as well. Well it is time for bread, Zeit für Brot. Go enjoy!

Fantastic bakery. I stopped with my wife for breakfast, we had two sweet rolls, a cappuccino and a tea. Everything was perfect. This business places a heavy emphasis on using renewable materials for disposables such as cups, cutlery, etc. Which we appreciated.

I am very happy with choice of this place. It tasted definitely better than Cinnabon. The service was excellent - they offered me things to taste for free ;)

Yeah!!!! I found awesome cinnamon rolls in Hamburg. Just plain ol’ good. Soft, fresh and tasty. I’m definitely going back. I also had a sandwich. Really nice. Great bread and creative toppings. The person was really friendly and suggested, when I asked, that I try her favorite (which I did). And they even offer bread samples. Great music. Great atmosphere. I’m happy I decided to go in and understand why there was such a long line when I had passed by the day before.

Buns here are insaaaane. They have different flavors: cinnamon, chocolate, raspberry/white chocolate, apple/almond... really generous serving and tasty.

Very nice bakery! We have stopped there twice during our stay in Hamburg. Good selection of things. We have tried buns with raspberry and white choco, same buns with cinnamon, croissants. Absolutely delicious! Sandwiches are also very good. They have places outside and inside. And if you are traveling with the kid, it is possible to see how the bread is made, as they have a big window in the back. Friendly stuff, prices are fitting the quality. We just regret a little bit that we didn't by any bread with us. :)

I checked this place the day before the visits while I'm passing through. The queue and the complete transparent shopping window told me "Tomorrow you will stop here for a Cinnamon Roll!". The next day is the best stop ever for a bread and bakery lovers like me. Nice people, nice flavors and very good bread! Well done guys!

Great way to start the day, the sooner you get here the better the cakes/ pastries are. I loved the chocolate one. Good coffe and service. The price though is a bit too much although the quality of the food can make up for it.
