When
we
visit
a
winery,
we
rate
it
in
three
areas:
the
wine,
the
ambience,
and
the
people.
Vina
Ramona
has
it
all
and
rates
5
stars
in
all
categories.
This
hidden
gem
is
easy
to
miss.
You
can
easily
drive
by
the
entrance
but
it's
worth
the
time
to
make
the
U-turn
and
come
back.
It's
in
a
fantastic
location
with
a
view
of
one
of
the
Ramona
valleys.
The
most
impressive
part
of
the
winery
it
the
tasting
room
which
is
actually
a
large
metallic
shipping
container.
The
inside
will
amaze
you.
I
won't
spoil
it
for
you.
The
wine
was
very,
very
good.
Our
favorite
was
the
2019
Fred's
Red,
but
we
also
liked
their
Cab
and
Late
Zin.
Ben
is
a
very
accomplished
wine
maker.
The
people
that
you
meet
there
tend
to
be
locals
and
are
charming,
friendly,
and
inviting.
We
had
no
problem
striking
up
conversations
with
many
of
them.
The
day
we
were
there,
they
had
a
number
of
excellent
cheeses
for
all
to
try
along
with
bread
from
a
local
bakery.
We
plan
on
making
this
lovely
winery
a
regular
stop
on
our
visits
to
Ramona.
This
was
our
second
visit
and
we
got
the
chance
to
meet
the
owner
Ben.
He
is
a
gracious
and
humble
host
and
we
enjoyed
learning
about
his
winery
and
his
thoughts
on
making
good
wine.
We
recommend
this
winery.
It's
one
of
the
best
in
the
valley.
