Just ordered from this place seeing as how it’s new and near the VA which is convenient. I’ve been looking for good bbq ever since I left Georgia and maybe this is it. Upon opening the container I see there are large portions of, well, everything it seems. So far so good. The beans was what I tried first, they were sweet and spicy. Definitely had a lot of heat on them, more than I’m used to but the flavor was great. I opted to get the Mac and cheese for 3 more dollars and I’m glad I did because this Mac and cheese is great. There are chunks of cheese in there that have a lot of flavor, seasoned (finally a place that knows to season their Mac and cheese!) and just amazing. Best I’ve had in a long time! I ordered the trip tip and brisket as my two meats I wanted. There are definitely generous portions to it! You can taste the smoke (but not over smoked) flavor on it and it is tender. The brisket is amazing! Nice smoke ring and there is a nice amount, but not too much, fat on the bottom that give us really good flavor, glad they didn’t just cut it off! It comes with two rolls and a side of bbq sauce for dipping. The rolls are decent, nothing spectacular but nowhere near horrible. The only ding (and slight at that) is the bbq sauce was cold. Colder than took temp cold which didn’t go too well with the hot meats. Other than that, great kid helping out and I hope this business well. Will definitely be returning to try out everything here!

Placed an order online around 5pm. I ordered the brisket platter with two sides and two rolls: Mac and cheese and collard greens and a slice of lemon pound cake. My order was prepared on time and was ready for pickup. The portion size may be a tad small for the price. I'm not really talking about loading up on more protein but more on the sides. A hefty plate of southern cuisine deserves enough to save for the next day; when greens are made they always taste better the next day. They were very clean and light. While I don't mind the stem pieces, there's very little to none in their greens. That's not really a complaint, I just know some have preferences. Bottom line is they are good. The Mac and cheese... oh man do I wish it had that hard crust of baked goodness on top. You know, the one that had that crunch because the one noodle got baked with no cheese? Again no complaints on the Mac and cheese it was delicious. The brisket was delectable as well. It was tender, well seasoned, and cut thiccc. It had the taste of the wood fired grill. Please don't be scared to top them plates off. If it leaks collards juice, then so be it. If the Mac and cheese spills over into my greens then God put it there for me to enjoy. If you want to hide coleslaw under my brisket then by all means hide as much as you can under there. I came for soul for with a hefty appetite. Shout out to the "one rib" movie reference. Not sure what two- cents gets me from the menu.

Vibes, vibes and more good vibes. I found them on accident as I drove by their original spot as an outdoor BBQ. Now their new location is coming along amazing. This area NEEDED a legit southern BBQ place, and this one has it just right with the history and personality. They’re super cool and friendly people as well. Not to mention the food is absolute fire... I’ve been all over the South to places big and small, and I’m very picky about quality. These guys have it.

Oh my goodness!!! I popped in right after they closed but they still allowed me to order. I got beef ribs. I had several errands to run so by the time I was able to eat, my food was cold. The food was so good even cold! Potato salad was homemade with fresh cut seasonings! The greens were well seasoned as well!!! I figure if it’s this good cold, once I warm it up 😋! I highly recommend for true yummy BBQ! The ribs are so good they don’t even need bbq sauce! I was surprised by the price, but it’s been tough to find quality and tasty food.

Fall off the bone, put your phone on DND. Leave me alone, don’t talk to me vibe. Mac and cheese, ribs meal. Delicious says he. Very clean and appealing ambiance. Parking lot in a plaza. Offers tap to pay, beers and wine, catering available. Nothing for a vegan or vegetarian.

Good flavor full lunch special! We had a plate of pulled pork, soul slaw and bbq beans and a plate of the brisket, collared greens and bbq beans. Great taste and portions. Definitely on our list for a good meal of REAL food!

Man hands down one of the best BBQ joints I’ve been too the brisket and ribs were smoky juicy and tender

They catered an event I was at and was legit the best Yams I have had in Northern California. The brisket was cooked to perfection and super juicy. Was pleasantly surprised at the ribs, had great bark but also fall off the bone tender. Good Southern slaw and fabulous baked beans to finish a delicious meal. As a person who smokes meat all the time, you recognize a great bbq spot when you see it. Service is very customer friendly and even though was just some random dude of the street, pitmaster was still willing to talk shop with me. Highly recommended looking for a great barbecue spot in Northern California especially Sacramento area.
