Hiking this trail was worth the visit. From the parking spot to the waterfall took about 30 to 40 minutes. Definitely start early to beat the heat. The waterfall area is very shady and relaxing. You can sit and absorb the beauty of the amazing view and the relaxing sounds. There are other trails throughout the path. This allows for a worthwhile hike. Wear your hiking shoes, take plenty of water, and snacks depending on how much you plan to hike. The paths have loose rocks and slight inclines. Enjoy your hike.

First time hiking this trail, and it's been a few years since my last hike. Definitely more than I expected, having to carry my 2 year old most of the way, but it was well worth it. Not an intense hike by any means, ends in a nice little waterfall.

I would have given this hike a 5 but the first half is way to rocky. If you have kiddos that can't make the hike strollers are not an option. It's way to uneven. The waterfall is short but the sound is loud and peaceful. Very beautiful when you reach the top. There are multiple paths to the top with the longest being 6 miles round trip. Parking is usually $3.25 for 4 hours, credit cards only. More than enough time to go up and down. Park rangers are there regularly checking for nonpayment of parking. You have been warned. NO DOGS ALLOWED.

This trail is very beautiful. It is not too steep but don't go on a rainy day you will slip from the muddy part of the trail. I recommend walking sticks (if that's what you call them 😆). If you are not in shape from hiking you will either have a hard time on the trail and/or feel really sore afterwards. 😉 trust me I know haha.

Much kinder trail going down rather than up. One hundred percent in the sun. While the trail asks that you not bring dogs, at least one out of five chose to ignore that rule. $3 half day, $5 full day but you could park further down the street and walk an additional ways to avoid that fee. Parking lot was full when we arrived but decently quick turn over.

Instead of our usual Saturday morning walk we went to Etiwanda Falls Trailhead for a 3.4 mile hike and totally enjoyed it! The views and waterfall at the top are beautiful. Looking forward to our next trip.

Great trail, there is a parking fee of 3 dollars so don't forget your phone and make sure you have a credit card otherwise you have to walk. Rancho cops have a direct video feed to the parking lot and they check it. No dogs allowed it says but its a decent hike

It's a medium level hike. All uphill. Plan on taking your shoes off so you can dip your 🦶 in the water at the top of the falls.

There 2 other trails you can take.. the other trails will give you a longer hike but you will get to the main trail to the waterfall.. you will get to see the dam and the chimney and bridge with a beautiful view.. this is my favorite trails to hike. Don't park on the side of the street that leads to the main parking... you will get a ticket I believe it's $70 fine

DRIVE UP THROUGH ETIWANDA OR DAY CREEK DO NOT DRIVE ONTO PRIVATE PROPERTY THAT GOOGLE MAPS SOMETIMES RECOMMENDS. An absolutely must do if you live in the surrounding area. This trail is really beautiful, there’s a neat waterfall, and tons of history and facts on posts along the way.

I love this hike. Lots of rocks on the path so watch your step. Great waterfall at the end with plenty of shade once you arrive at the waterfall. Very little shade on the way up.

Nice place to hike but they do charge for parking. Likely, to help maintain the trail better than other public hiking trails.

I went yesterday 7/15/23 on a saturday, we went on several stops bec. the weather is brutally hot. there are no bathrooms in sight, so if you wanna use the bathroom bring toilet paper lol. bring lots of water, make sure to apply sunscreen & bug repellants, specially on your clothes bec. there will be bugs all around you, once you started hiking. You will see a barcode to pay for parking, we paid about $3.25 for 4 hrs. wear hiking shoes, if you're not wearing hiking shoes, goodluck there's lots of rocks on the trail and you will slip and fall off if you're outsoles arent that strong. if you're not physically fit, bring a hiking pole to help you get there, the trail will be difficult but hang in there, according to my tracker, from the parking lot with several stops, you will get there about 1.70 miles to the waterfalls. when you ask people and they say its nearby, dont believe them, as long as you dont hear the waterfalls, you still have a long way to go! i think i've asked a lot of people, one lady said i have about 20 min. away.. she lied! 45 min. later, we heard the waterfalls lol just keep on going, like i said im not physically fit but we made it!

Th majority of the trail is gravel, only the end is waterfall. Crowded and parking is tough on weekends. Much better places if you are coming from LA

This was a really fun and challenging hike. The entire way to the falls is incline, and with the rocky and uneven terrain it can be challenging. It’s all completely unshaded. That said everyone was wearing sneakers so no hiking boots required. You can move at a slow pace as there’s plenty of passing room. Once up to the falls you can sneak off to the right for a small sitting area to watch the falls head on or head to the back where you can sit among a magical forest with more mini falls. Tons of shade up there. This was tough for me - for context - I’m a very in shape 45 yo woman. It’s worth it if you can push! Expect to see lots of people even during the week day. Go before mid day and wear a hat if you can.

Not a bad walk or hike if you will for a nice run, although if you looking for paradise that once existed sorry to disappoint, it's no longer there.

No dogs allowed, pay for parking via scanning a QR code with your camera phone 3 options: 4 hrs, till closing or annual pass. splits at a fork right path will lead you to the falls, left will lead you to a area with a great view and benches.

If you go early during the week, it's easier to find parking. It's very difficult to find parking later in the day on weekends as there is not much parking close to the entrance. For people that hike often, it's a pretty easy hike. The mountain views are beautiful and so is the waterfall at the end. However, most of the trail is brush and gravel. It is NOT dog friendly. There are multiple signs posted that state "no dogs allowed," I'm not sure why people say it is. Not worth a ticket or getting kicked out. There is also a small parking fee.

Etiwanda Falls is a very fun hike that has a great payoff at the end. The uphill walk is definitely not too easy, though I regularly see families with children able to complete the hike. Very photogenic spot, even in winter when the leaves have fallen.

The fall trail isn't too obvious to find and on popular weekends/holidays, the parking lot gets full quickly and there's a line to get in to pay for parking. Some park below and walk up. It can be a little misleading though, but keep to the straight path and you should be relatively fine. The falls are worth it! If you're mosquito prone like me, beware, these are larger and leave a mark.

The hike up the hill is challenging, yet the experience and making it up to the falls is worth one's time. Bring water.

Awesome experience and a beautiful waterfall at the final destination!😍 It was really hard on some of the turns and climbs, but it was definitely worth it! For beginners in good health and for advanced

Pleasant trail w/ ease. Some incline, not too challenging, depending on fitness level but I think almost anyone can do it. Pretty short but you can take your time. At the end the is a very nice breezy serene area, small waterfall, big rocks, tall trees. I read somewhere that there’s a bigger waterfall but I didn’t see. Parking is paid, you have to scan a QR code and then pay w/ ccard. It’s a good workout or a chill walk. Dirt & rock path, nothing strenuous. No shade until you reach end. Parking fills up quick. I’d do it again if in area. If you’re a seasoned hiker, it won’t blow your mind at all but it’s still very nice. And most of the people there were very nice. Oh also even though it doesn’t seem really hard going up, your glutes definitely are being worked because I felt it next morning. Nothing unbearable but seems like it was an effective walk due to the incline.
