The food was so bland! It turned me and my hubby off. The chicken had absolutely no seasoning. The sides were the only things we liked, which is why I rated 2 stars. There were Decent portions. But the main course was no good! southern food is supposed to have soul, I thought I was eating from a nursing home where everyone needed to watch their blood pressure!

I recommend this location over the one that’s east. I live east and travel this location because the Mac and cheese is much better. I had the fried chicken(it was fried to perfection) yams and mac. The food was good Id come back. I love patronizing my people.

There was hair in my mother's machine and cheese and today ( her hair is in braids). My sister and I had turkey wing dinners. The turkey wings had so much seasoning on them they weren't edible. The salt took over the meat. The cabbage was good.

I wanted something good, and I didn't want to cook. Mission accomplished! I ordered pork ribs, collard greens, and mac and cheese. The ribs were tender and seasoned. Very good sauce and gave extra sauce on the side. The greens were delicious. I think they got somebody's grandmother back there! The cornbread had a sweet and little cinnamon taste to it that I loved. Ya'll didn't fool me with the brown and serve dinner rolls though. The staff was pleasant and efficient. I will definitely be back to try other things on the menu.

Pretty good place for soul food. Got the fried pork chops, collard greens, and Mac n chz. Everything was good except the cornbread which was a bit too cakey. My friend got the lake trout which she commented was boney along with potato salad which looked good. Ask the cashier which desserts they have available. I saw some there that weren’t on the menu.

This is a very busy place.You cannot dine in. Best to call in your order, then pick up. The staff is courteous and patient. Lots of choices, reasonable prices in comparison to the amount of food received. VERY tasty. The desserts a little too sweet for a diabetic, but others enjoyed.

Placed a catering order on July 29 for an event August 13. Called to confirm my order was ready and it was not. I was told it would take 40 minutes to prepare my food which would have made me late for my event. Someone definitely dropped the ball. After an exchange of a few choice words between me and the "manager" I asked for my money back! WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN

DO NOT ORDER THE LAST HOUR BEFORE THEY CLOSE!!!! I called my order in an hour before they closed and was told they were out of the yams, so that was expected. When I pulled up to get my food, the store was crowded, no social distancing was being practiced and people were complaining about their orders. When I arrived, you could not distinguish the order line from the pick-up line which had me confused. Pete were posted up against the wall waiting for food when the sign says to wait outside after but that wasn't happening. As I picked my order up, they were out of almost everything.... the yams, mac n cheese, the potato salad, the seafood salad, and the tea. My mash potatoes were cold and the rice under the salmon was cold. The portion sizes for the salmon varies, so beware! Overall, the food was delicious. I may try to order again during the day to see if I get a different result🙂

I usually don’t leave negative reviews, but I feel inclined to today. First, I live about 30 mins from the closest location. So I ordered my food over the phone. The lady tells me it will be about 15/20 mins. So I hope in the car and head over as soon as we disconnect. I arrive about 30 mins later and walk inside, fully expecting the order to be ready or maybe even have been siting for a few minutes. Not the case. The food was not ready. The gentlemen in the front says it will be ready in a few minutes. No problem. 10 mins go by. I walk in, not ready. He says a few mins. Tells the cook or whoever I’m here so get it ready. A total of 20 mins go by and food is still is not ready. I see customers walking in, ordering, leaving with their food. I literally ordered two dinners. Almost an hour later to the time I initially called, my food is finally bagged and given to me. I get home, only to be greatly dis-satisfied with mostly everything. The candy yams are good, but the pork ribs were just not it. I can’t even put my finger on it but I trashed them. The mac and cheese was terrible. The fried chicken was okay, but the fries were barely seasoned. I also ordered peach cobbler that unfortunately did not meet my expectations. $40 wasted. I have been ordering here for years. Literally since they first opened - and todays experience was just so terrible that I’ve decided I’m not going back in the future. I think SB has been on a slow decline for a few years, though the customer service has never been where it should be. But today was it for me. Sad to say, you officially lost a customer.

F*** what these other people saying. When I tell you, FOOD SO GOOD MAKE YOU WANT TO SLAP YA MOMMA! THAT DAMN GOOD! I recently moved here from South Jersey, better than any other soulfood I tasted and I mean from NY, ATL, Florida, Philly! Like hands down, not stingy with the seasoning, and definitely taste the love! I will be coming back!

Horrible. I every time I go here I say it’s the last time smh. The food quality has gone down a lot over the yrs. I just don’t understand how they are still in business. Today I only came because I took dinner out the freezer late and it’s still frozen. The mac n cheese taste like something out of a box. It’s so nasty. The chicken is tasteless and the mashed potatoes are so cold my 14 month old won’t even eat them. He won’t eat any of it and he loves chicken. SAVE YOUR MONEY

I stopped by to get a side order of their mac and cheese which I was craving. Soooo disappointed! Not sure if they were too busy or short staffed, but this was Kraft deluxe mac and cheese with a lil sharp cheddar cheese added.

One of the best carryouts on liberty rd. The food hasn't let me down yet. The catfish dinner is awesome. I will definitely be returning.

Turkey wings are great but the green beans taste different each time I go. They get saltier and saltier. And the macaroni and cheese I got was super hard and dry. Also my friends salmon was on the burnt side.

One distinction of Southern Blues is the employees. There front end is always managed by youth and young adults. What an amazing journey into customer service because some real jackazzs come thru for a soul food meal. I think some folks be extra because the front office is young, but they "unbothered" and I ❤️❤️ it. The food is always a hit absolutely need a nap after one finishes their meal. I just wish there was a whole restaurant because you start eating in the car while it is hot and aromatic. Southern Blues reminds of a Southern Family meal full of great taste and ❤️.

Southern blues catered a large dinner party for my family today. The food was amazing. The food arrived on time, was packaged very well and the delivery driver was courteous and helpful. Our guests loved the food. The food was one of the many things that made my grandmother's birthday very special. I highly recommend using this location for catering. We will be using them again for future events.

The food is always satisfying with great portion sizes. No regrets here! I will definitely pay them another visit.

I ordered online the first time to get delivered. My salmon was like a 4oz size and dried out. Extremely small and dry. I came to try and support again in person instead of through DoorDash to be greeted with a rude cashier. and didn’t care to correct the problem that I brought to their attention before coming to place the order. He didn’t care to make anything right. I won’t be making a third trip. That’s for sure. The 2 stars is because the yams were good but salmon was dried out but had a nice flavor at least. Please retrain your staff on how to handle problems when they come up as you have good food but the staff who cooks it and handles the staff should be retrained. Customer service is extremely important and your front end represents your brand.

Food is really good..the drinks are great as well. I've only been one time and the salmon was a little dry but this pic is one of the best ones😋..it's a bit pricey for the portions which definitely should be reevaluated because for this meal and hardly any rice I paid I believe $17. That's a bit much for the quantity.

I have purchased several meals over the course of the last several months.The quality of the food is good.However, service is not always what it should be.I ordered three dinners today .Two meals were missing requested sides.I have also experienced receiving sides that were not ordered instead of those that were .I trust these concerns will be addressed.

I visited this location twice in March 2022. I had zero complaints on all 3 dinners (baked wings, sweet potato's, string beans, fried wings, & macaroni & cheese) and drinks purchased. All the food was seasoned very good.

I ordered the salmon with two sides, mashed potatoes and green beans. The green beans were so salty that I couldn't eat them. The mashed potatoes didn't taste homemade, almost like from a box. The grocery store bought "Bob Evans" mashed potatoes are far better and tastier. And while the salmon was passable, I cook far better salmon. So I generously gave it a "3".

Customer service is absolutely incredible, food and drinks be hittinnnn and so worth the money

Very disappointed that door dash orders aren’t properly secured. When dasher handed me the bag it wasn’t even tied! I opted to waste my money and not eat either of the 2 meals as I ordered delivery due to having COVID and am not willing to chance compromising my immune system further by potentially eating food that could have been tampered with! Given all the tamper resistant supplies that are available for delivery orders, it surprises me that an establishment such as Southern Blues hasn’t invested in them to ensure the quality, tamper proof delivery of their food to us the consumer. Wasted $50 and still hungry.

Love love love the GREENS! I have seriously gone and just ordered the greens and ate them going about my work day lol I also get the wings and sweet potatoes. So good!! Not a fan of the cornbread, too sweet/soft tastes like cake. I order the dinner rolls.

The food is always good. However, if you call ahead, it's difficult to place an order. The manager may answer the phone but doesn't take your order. Instead they leave you on hold for ever. When you go in to order you will be able to place your order but you will see the manager is responding to customers and answering the phone with what looks like no intention to go back to it get the order. It's an annoyance because I don't always have time to wait onsite.

Food was really good. Service was slow i waited about 30 minutes for my order. I love this place every time i visit Randallstown i make a special effort to get food from this place. You should get a dine-in eatery.

I would rate less than one star but I dont have that option.There quality of food and customer service went down . My wife and I ordered our usuall she had her ribs and I surf and turf. The ribs was hard and dry and the hush puppies hard as a rock. She was missing a side on top of all that.. We called to make a formal complaint they suggested we come back to make it right . Probably not..Why would I ....

Southern Blues never misses for me. I had the fried smothered porkchops with mashed potatoes and string beans. It was amazing. I also had their Triple Mix drink (fruit punch, lemonade and sweet tea) and I wish I could have saved it. Also had their seafood salad and that is a must try as well. If you want soul food skip every other place and come here!

I called and ordered 2 large pans of greens and paid for it a week ahead. I was scheduled to pick my order up at 3pm, I arrived at 245pm an my order was not ready,I was told to get in line and wait. It was a half an hour before I could get my order. Can you please put some kind of pick up order in place for people that pay early.
