Lovers Meet View Point Peshok Teesta Valley Forest: Travelling from NJP to Takdah, we take a break at Peshoke View Point also called ‘Lovers Meet’ which gives a bird’s eye view of the confluence of rivers Teesta & Rangeet. The river coming from the left is Rangeet meeting Teesta which is coming straight down. On the left are the hills of Sikkim and on the right are the hills of Kalimpong. The large white sandy delta formation at the confluence is popular for rafting in the Teesta River. This confluence is also known as Triveni and there is a roadway that connects up to the point of the confluence. The view point is great, the road to there is better. Lots of beautiful flowers and trees on the way, and some tea plantations as well. If you're driving down from darjeeling, the weather gets consistently warmer and the view of the two rivers is beautiful to behold. A few kilometers down the road is a way to get right to the riverside itself. If you're in darjeeling and have a day to spare,

It's a beauty to experience for all the nature lovers... Its a a viewpoint of 2 rivers Rangeeth and Teesta meeting each other... Breath taking view, even cameras can't justify the beauty of it... There are various small eatery stalls to enjoy snacking with the view... Way towards the lovers meet point is surrounded with greenary with pine trees...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Lovers Meet View Point on the banks of the Teesta River, and it was a truly serene and memorable experience. Situated amidst the stunning natural beauty of the Teesta Valley, this view point offers a tranquil escape from the chaos of everyday life. The Teesta River itself is a sight to behold. Its crystal-clear waters flow gracefully through the valley, reflecting the surrounding mountains and creating a mesmerizing scene. Standing at Lovers Meet View Point, I felt a sense of awe as I watched the river meandering through the landscape, like a lifeline breathing life into the valley. The view from the viewpoint was simply breathtaking. The panoramic vista of the Teesta River snaking through the lush greenery of the valley, with the majestic Himalayan peaks as a backdrop, was a sight that will remain etched in my memory forever. The play of light and shadow on the water and the ever-changing colors of the sky created a magical ambiance. The serenity of Lovers Meet View Point was enhanced by the peaceful atmosphere surrounding it. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, I felt a profound sense of tranquility. It's a place where one can truly connect with nature, take a deep breath, and appreciate the beauty that surrounds us. The facilities at Lovers Meet View Point were well-maintained and convenient. The pathways were clean and well-marked, making it easy to explore the area. There were also seating areas where I could relax and soak in the panoramic views at my own pace. The staff members were friendly and helpful, providing information about the viewpoint and the surrounding area. Their enthusiasm for the natural wonders of the Teesta River and the Himalayas was contagious, adding to the overall experience. While Lovers Meet View Point is undoubtedly a beautiful location, I felt that it could benefit from additional amenities. Adding more seating areas or picnic spots would provide visitors with more options to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

Lovers Meet View Point looks on to a river confluence. The river Rangeet flowing from the left and the wider river Teesta flowing from the top, meet and then flow down south. The waters of the 2 rivers have different colors. At the confluence point you can clearly see the 2 streams of differently colored waters flowing into each other. There is also a river rafting campsite on one of the banks of the confluence. There are some stalls here that serve some food items. Perfect for snacking. Also, there are a lot of monkeys in the forests around the place!

Located in Kalimpong near the Sikkim WB border, it is 1hr driving distance from Darjeeling. A small viewpoint with superb views of the meeting of Teesta and Rangeet River along with the whole view of the valley and mountains. A picturesque place and definitely instaworthy. There are small local shops in the viewpoint selling momos, chana makha (a local food item), coconut water and other packaged foods like biscuits, chocolate, fruit juices, chips, etc.

The point is on the way to teesta river camping. The view is worth a stop. The local aunties sell tea and momo , although at what they "tourist" prices. The view of the river is magnificent. It is a sight to Marvel at. The photos are great. Govt should work on 2 things construction of a toilet and a beautification of the spot. Don't know why both and the central and state govts ignore the hills.

It is a place where the mysterious emerald water with lime meets another blue color to form a new river. As the name suggests, this place is where you meet your loved ones. There are two restaurants that sell snacks here, so it's a good place to take a break. I recommend going further inside. It is good to have a snack while watching the rivers meet. Please note that there are no toilets here.

Nice place. Beautiful scenic view.Sikkim's largest river and West Bengal's 2nd largest river Teesta meet Rangeet river at this place. This confluence of Teesta and Rangeet is also known as Triveni . Some call it Lover’s point. It is considered to be a holy place where two great rivers meet. Rangeet is considered to be a male river who meets his beloved Teesta at this point, hence the name ‘Lover’s point’. From here the river moves through west Bengal and enters Bangladesh where it finally meets the mighty Bramhaputra River.

A beautiful, lovely spot. Just before entering Darjeeling, this spot faces the valley where you get to have a full view of Teestha river. Surrounded by valleys, mountains, and roads this spot is a place to stop by. As you come out of the place you can’t miss the shops selling veg momos and chai. They also sell items like water bottles, chips and chocolates. A picturesque spot that will leave you breathe less.

Remarkably scenic location, not too far from Darjeeling, with magnificent Teesta and Rangeet confluence There are many lovely trees and flowers along the path, as well as some tea plantations.

There is no entry ticket at all. A good view of the River teesta from the top. This point is now no more for lovers. As 4-5 tuck shops are here for tourists, but they have acquired more places than what is supposed for visitors. Anyway, not a special place to go for. It is on the way from Gangtok to Darjeeling.
