We stayed for two nights. It was a memorable experience. The room was clean, cozy with great views from the balcony. Foods were very tasty. Bonfire and Barbecue in the evening added extra taste to our trip. Both hostes and their family were ever smilling, helpful and informative.

Their behaviour & service towards customers is too good. We went there & felt like it was our known place. Their food is tasty & homely. The rooms as well as location is comfortable to live. It's a very nice place to visit. The hosts were so welcoming as well as helpful. About the homestay, it is situated in a beautiful place surrounded by greens from all sides and the rooms are also well organized. The food was awesome 🤤. Our sister and brother who took care of us was a real chef 👨‍🍳. Delicious dishes were provided by them starting from breakfast till dinner and also some special evening snacks. In all we can say that we enjoyed a lot there. I hope to visit there soon ❤❤❤❤

Food was too good. appreciateable management. View from top floor is much better. You could hear water fall's sound whole night from this home stay. If u have kid or infant with u don't worry. They manage food for them also. Shila di and her husband are very humble and their one helping lady is very polite. If u want to spend quality time with your friends or family it will be the best place near Darjeeling at Takdah. At Tukda u can see the hospital, BDO office, wbsedcl office and a small market very near from the home stay. Some Nearest and beautiful sightseeing are Gumbadara view point, Lamahata, Peshak tea garden, lovers meet view point, Tinchule etc.

Absolutely loved my stay! The rooms were sparkling clean, the bathroom spotless and tidy, and the outdoor seating area with an amazing view was the perfect place to relax. Everyone I met was incredibly friendly and helpful, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. And to top it all off, the price was fantastic! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a delightful and affordable stay in Jalpaiguri.

People who are serving there are very kind and down to earth, always greeting you with a smile. The food provided by them is healthy as well as tasty.

That was the first time I was visiting North Bengal offbeat places and I found this gem. It was really a life time experience staying at this homestay. Here you will find the true bliss and thrill of staying in the mountains away from all the chaos of Darjeeling. Now coming back to how much we have enjoyed staying here , I would probably point out few things: 1. Mesmerizing view from the balcony. 2. Comfortable, cozy and spacious rooms. 3. Delicious home made food. 4. Good location to complete all the sightseeings. 5. Very polite and welcoming hosts. Surely they will make your tour special. 6. Very reasonable. The views from the homestay are very beautiful. We got a warm😊 hospitality from the owner (aunty) of this homestay. This is a really good place to pay a visit once in your tour to Darjeeling.

Stayed in this property for 3 days in Oct 2022 end. The weather was really nice and we enjoyed the stay over here. Pros: 1.The owners(Sushil ji and Nisha ji) were friendly and taking care of needs of guests. 2.The rooms were spacious with 4 beds. 24X7 Hot and cold water was available. 3.Home cooked food was delicious and was available in ample quantity. 4.They arranged site seeing cars as per our need. 5. It is a paradise for nature lover with 180 degree of green hill views, with a nice view of sun rise and sun set. 6. The charge for fooding and lodging was okay, but it can be little more economical for guests considering we stayed 3 persons in each room. 7. We did 1 day out trip to Darjeeling, as it is approx 25KM away that makes sense. Cons (it is not about the home stay, but generic for Takdah location and for info to future Tourists): 1.The Takdah local road is not in best condition and quite steep downhill. So for visitors to go uphill till Takdah market arranging a cab is only option. 2. The cab hiring is practiced only through home stay owners, as cabs in road are very rare and if found they always route to the homestay owner only. 3. The car rents are on higher side, and as there is no option in open market Tourist has to accept the offered rates. 4. Tinchuley is 4-5 KM away from Takdah and is in higher elevation, and snowcapped mountains can be seen. If situation permits will visit again. All the best wishes to the Shayan Homestay. Thanks

Best place for vacation in Takdah village in the middle of the Takdah forest. The road to the homestay is in a very poor condition from Teesta crossing. But once you reach the homestay , you will be overwhelmed with the hospitality of the owner couple Sushil and Nishu. Had a Wonderful experience during our short stay at the homestay! Rooms are well decorated and are kept clean. Very peaceful place, away from the honks and clatters of the city.
