Very tasty Indian food served in banana leaf. Each and every dishes were prepared with perfect amount of spice , unlike other chitty shop in yangon which over load spices in the curries. The salad with Yougart was really perfect. Over all meal was satisfactory and the service was really homely and humble. The owner lady speaks very good English so foreigners would have no problem at all. The place has no AC and it is not like any restaurant , be prepared to have the meal in a off beat location. Hygiene was not perfect but seemed ok not bad actually. It has a view of a beautiful mosque and I loved every bit of it . I would recommend Indian , Bangladeshi, Pakistani , Nepali and who ever likes Indian food to visit there and try their food. Cheers . The meal cost me around 5500 MMK ( mutton curry , salad and rice set )

Taste of food is good. Curry portions are less compared to price. And we have to pay for papadam and onion salad while other Chetty Restaurants are providing it FOC. Service is okay.

It's a nice place to eat chit tee rice and curries here. The staff are very attentive and the place makes me feel like having a meal at my house. The curries prices start from 4000 kyats. If you want to eat crab, you need to order a day ahead.

Decent Chettiar (Tamil) banana leaf fare on the top floor of a 3 floor building overlooking the Shia mosque. Stairs are a bit steep. Food is decent - rice with small plates of curry, papara/papadum, dal and pickles.

Great place for great food. The place isn't much but the food is great. If you feel like having Chitti food, the is the place to go. The price is decent as well. Try to go early lunch if you want all the available curry for selection. Go even earlier if you are not reserving as the place tend to get full with people coming in for lunch from around the area. If you like Indian food, give it a try. Oh they also have option to have your food on a palm leaf.

Good food. And Traditional style. But too small space , toilet should be more clean.

Delicious Indian dishes with warm service may bring your satisfaction. Mid-range prices with decent quality at the heart of Yangon.

Traditional Indian food served on a fresh banana leaf offering a wide variety of main Currys and additional side dishes. Recommend to try out their yogurt after a heavy meal, best in town..

As you walk up the stairs you feel like this should be some great hole in the wall place, it's a little far from it. The small potato curry is good as well as the lentil soup. However the main curry I ordered, chicken, was watery and lacked depth. The total amount of food you get is average size. Very average to below average. Add that to the high price point (by Myanmar standard), 3000 khat, and you get a place not worth wasting one of your few meals in Yangon at. Hence the 2 stars.

Myint Family Indian Restaurant offers an array of mouth-watering Indian-Myanmar Varieties of dishes (Except Beef 7 Pork). Established in 1972, this humble chit tee restaurant, hidden away on the second floor of a rundown apartment on 29th Street. Owner U Khin Maung is 60 years old, runs the restaurant with his wife & children after his father passed the business down to him. You’ll find the owner (blistering mustache) himself cheerfully waiting to greets you with his loud & jazzy voice. Order your choice of curry – chicken, prawn, fish or goat – and it’ll be served up with a host of extra dishes such as a lentil curry, tamarind soup, bhaji & rice on a banana leaf. Choice may be limited, but the food will not disappoint you. For lunch need to go early otherwise no chance to select food. Great Restaurant for all religions. (حلال, Halal) Only problem is, small space, narrow stairs.
