Visiting from WI and decided to try Firehouse Brewing Company for dinner. Really cool vibe and loved the outdoor seating. Very friendly staff and our waitress checked in with us often. Nice selection of beer and a variety to choose from for food. I ordered the Bacon Cheddar Burger with fries, very good! Serving was more than enough for me, I couldn’t finish it all. Fun house BBQ too.

We went there for lunch and it had a great variety of music and beers. It’s a pretty cool building and vary spacious, even though it might not seem so from the outside. They have a good size menu with lots of options for everyone. Two of my colleagues ordered the Caesar Salad and The Chief. I ordered the Beyond Veggie Burger. Everything a was delicious and the service was pretty fast. They do not do more than 4 split checks per table.

How cool is this place? If you’re in Rapid City, make this a stop for a bite to eat! Rapid City’s original fire station has been converted to a brewery and restaurant! They craft their own beer and have a full bar and wine for those non-beer drinkers! We had the fish and chips and the bacon cheeseburger, both of which were brilliant! We had a great time there, and would definitely recommend this place to you if you’re looking for a great place to eat, have a beer/cocktail and enjoy a unique vibe in downtown Rapid City!

The building and patio are cool, but the food here is overpriced and inedible. I had a rotten salad with gritty soup. The kids chicken nuggets were rock hard. It was over $100 for lunch for 2 adults and 3 kids. PS - the patio is NOT dog friendly. We knew that and left ours at home (no problem), but don’t bring Fido here.

The building is memorable but the food isn’t. Sorry folks another just ok. Pulled pork with rice went over well with my hubby but honestly, we only ate there two days ago and I can’t remember what I had. Hubby said it was the veggie burger and that sounds like me so let’s go with that. Not a great value as the prices are very high.

Stopped by for lunch, food was great and probably the best pork queso dip I've had in awhile. The building is really cool, it has craftmanship from the original fire building everywhere, along with antiques and nostalgic memorabilia from the original firehouse and are. The had a wide range on the menu to appease everyone's appetite. The drink selection for in house brew was good.

Atmosphere outside was nice and well done. Great flight selection. The tuna nachos were good. Ashley was our sever and she was great. We’ll be back next time we’re in town.

We stopped in here randomly and were pleasantly surprised. Beers were good, the house root beer was a little disappointing. The food was really good. I had the gumbo and it was great. The heat was just right and had a good amount of sausage, chicken and shrimp. Also the fries were a really home style.

Atmosphere was decent. Service was very slow, but friendly. Food was not good to mediocre. Be careful if you get pizza with chicken on it. Ours had a large bone in it. The waitress removed the item from our check. As others mentioned, the menu states pricing is cash price. There is a parking garage nearby that was free parking in the evening. They have both indoor and outdoor seating.

I have been eating at the Firehouse for over fifteen years. The beer bread and artichoke dip appetizer has to be the best dip I have ever had. I tried other artichoke dips, all the way in California even, and none has ever compared to the artichoke dip at the Firehouse. I swear I come to the Firehouse just for the beer bread and artichoke dip. The homemade root beer is on point too. A word to those who never had Buffalo meat, the burger is leaner and a little more dry than beef. If you desire a juicy, thick burger, than stick with beef. The Caesar salad was delish, the Romain lettuce was green and leafy, it did not consist of just the crunchy lettuce part. The only criticism my partner Don had was that instead of using baked chicken, an upgrade would be to use either seasoned grilled chicken or chunks of deep fried chicken tenders. The baked chicken in the salad was kind of bland. We also had the fire caps. Which are crab meat stuffed mushroom caps, smothered in mozzarella and baked in the oven until the cheese is bubbly and crisp. You would have to allow the dish to cool before eating, the dish comes with 8 mushrooms. The fire caps were juicy, delicious, with the right hint of garlic. You can not go wrong with the beer bread, artichoke dip and the fire caps as an appetizer.

Excellent service in a fun and kid friendly atmosphere. Food is well portioned and quality driven. Bar was fun and lively. Loved the outdoor space and the gift shop next door. A local gem that welcomes all visitors from afar!

Firehouse Brewing is the Wall Drug of Rapid City. There's a Brewery, restaurant, sports bar, wine tasting room, and a gift shop. The place is a gosh-darned block long! (And, like Wall Drug they have quite a few signs on the highway!) It's also a busy place, and it's quite possible you'll have to wait for a table for dinner. There are dozens of life-size presidential sculptures in the neighborhood, so you can stroll around and see them. Don't go too far, because Firehouse will text you when your table is ready. If I recall correctly, they give you 5 minutes to get back and claim your table. I liked the outdoor dining area, which has heaters and is in use for a significant portion of the year. I liked the big firefighter murals. The food and service were fine, but nothing particularly special.

The building is the original 1915 firehouse that is listed on the National Historic Register. It operated as the local firehouse through the 1980s until it was relocated to allow for more space. In 1991, it was purchase to be what it is today - South Dakota's oldest brewery. The brewery has a nice ambiance which includes photos of the past and relics of the former firehouse. Seating is indoor or outdoor. Two murals depicting its previous function line the outdoor seating area. They serve a nice variety of tasty food and have a decent selection of crafted beers. Great staff that was very efficient and actually helped each other do their jobs (nice - we noticed this.) Kyle provided wonderful, attentive service (you're very lucky to have him!)

This place was our last choice to dine. All the places that we wanted for a party of 12 was two hour wait without a reservation for dinner on a Monday night. They were able to seat us immediately. We got the fish and chips and Spontaneous Heating which is a gumbo dish loved by Food Network’s Rachel Ray. Food was average. It’s more of a bar food vibe.

Amazing Burgers, good music, better alcohol! We came to this place twice within the same day because it was the only place with decent vegetarian options and amazing hospitality. It also stays open late. It's built within an old fire station and they have retained the originality of the place. Highly recommended downtown location! PS- the portion sizes are huge!

My husband and I visited Firehouse Brewing Company about a month ago! We did have a bit of a wait time, which is AWESOME because we love to see a locally-owned business FLOURISHING! It was definitely worth the wait... the service was great! Our server was very attentive and welcoming. The atmosphere was so cool (check out my picture below)!! My husband ordered the Western Burger and I ordered the Rancher's Pie. My husband enjoyed his food and I thought mine was literally PERFECT! I didn't leave anything behind... thank you to the Firehouse Brewing Company team for making our experience so great!!

The brewery has great beer and great food and great service. Very friendly staff. The female helper/server in the Merchantile company needs serious public service training. Very rude. Don’t go in to buy anything if it’s close to closing time.

Stopped in on a busy Saturday night; seated promptly and our service was good for how busy it was. Beer was solid & approachable. I had the roast chicken and sausage: chicken was moist and tender, sausage was tasty. Mashed potato side was simple and flavorful, slaw was simply shredded cabbage…I didn’t touch it. My wife ordered a fried chicken sandwich that was delivered dry and over cooked. I’m sure it’s good when prepared properly. Staff was very nice and attentive, fixed any issues. I didn’t find the food award worthy, but seems safe & approachable for a family.

I liked my BBQ sandwich with Fries, my wife liked her Fish & Chips. I think both orders were overpriced. Atmosphere was nice, nostalgic. We both had bar drinks, which weren't good. Neither of us finished the drink. I would recommend a neat pour.

Atmosphere was nice, with a good variety of food. The menu is also shown in “cash price” and the restaurant passes the card service fee onto the consumer even after charging $17 for a burger. Food was good, but not worth the price. Would go again to enjoy dining outside on a nice summer evening before the bikers roll into town and kill the vibe.

Firehouse Brewing Co. Was a wonderful experience. The food was very good and well made. The Buffalo lasagna portion was a bit small, but the bison was tasty. Red sauce could ha e had a bit more seasoning for my taste. Their own beers when pretty decent, along with their root beer. The atmosphere was pretty cool, and the fire memorabilia and patches were very nice. They also had a great gift shop and winery. Winery was nice and good tasting. I would highly recommend and hope to come again. Price was ok, but not a cheap venture by any means, but still worth the trip!

Quaint restaurant/bar/brewery with great food and service. Visited at opening so was a little quite. Decor is nice and historic. Food and drink excellent. A must on our return.

I’d like to give this place a 5-star. I really like the atmosphere. Unfortunately, I believe the bartender is new (10/05/22) but there was no name tag or anything mentioning this. It wasn’t busy when I arrived and got a beer right away. But, I wanted to order fries and another beer and waited for over 25 minutes. Finally the couple beside me got a waitresses attention for me (they were the second couple). By the way, the first couple left without completing their beers and left cash, after asking for the bill The second couple told him the $ was already left there and he put it all in the tip bucket. So, if he’s short..that’s just one reason!PS- should have a shirt or name tag saying ‘I’m new. Be Patient and get my attention’
