Some say this is the best steakhouse in Western South Dakota. I can confidently say it’s the best steakhouse I’ve ever eaten at. Consistently creative features, dry and wet aged ribeye, salmon flown in fresh from Seattle, local in season produce, talented and inspired chefs, table side service is pinky out fancy as it gets anywhere. $$$ Save up and spurge on the bone in Delmonico tomahawk steak. If you order steak med well or (god forbid) well done… go somewhere else or try the half chicken dish locally sourced and surprisingly phenomenal. This is the prom date place. The place where you propose, or wine and dine that connection in town on business. The food is good to die for good. Food memories are minted here daily. Make a reservation for sure. And, if you are extra adventurous you can rent the private upper room with an all inclusive experience for 25 people or more. Expect a Michelin star ⭐️ experience.

I went here to for a nice birthday dinner celebration. The food was fantastic. The filet was delicious, and I loved the bourbon sweet potatoes. The French onion soup was one of the best I've ever had. Onions were sweet, and the broth was an excellent flavor. It a pricy dinner but worth it.

Really liked this place. The burgers were very well priced. If you want to spend money then go for the steaks but given I wasn't trying to spend 100+ for dinner on a work trip, it wasn't the right time. But I would love to take a date here and have an amazing night. Otherwise besides the price, the atmosphere, customer service, and food was amazing.

When you first walk in the atmosphere is great. First part of the meal was the salads. Mine was a Caesar salad lettuce was limp you could tell it was aging. She had the wedge salad and said the lettuce didn't quite taste right although neither were horrible they weren't top notch. We were told the steak would take about an hour it came out really quick. We were super happy beautiful looking steak. Cut into it it was medium rare. We asked for medium or a little more. It was sent back and came out the same way again. It was sent back a third time and still sent out way too rare. It was a very good steak but if the cook is that far off of the way you like it's hard to eat, it was not enjoyable. They comped us desserts and a wine. I thought the Fair Deal should have been to cut the price of the steak in half. We only ended up eating less than half of it. The desserts they comped us or also good but not great. What I would say is the servers were above outstanding everyone there was really good except for the cook being off. If I were to ever go back it would be because the staff did an excellent job.

The food and service were pretty good. Both the fish and steak tasted fresh and were cooked perfectly. I would definitely recommend making a reservation ahead of time since we've seen a few people being turned away at the door. All in all it was worth a visit!

My main reasons for only 3 stars is I got the dry aged $72 steak and they overcooked it. No compensation was offered. With that said it was it had alot of flavor still. Everything else was great!! Jessica was a wonder waitress and a pleasure to talk with. Presentation on the steak was bla.... So don't let that fool you.

Seven us ate there and each of us were impressed with our dishes. The French onion soup is definitely for the onion lovers out there. I try to order the French onion soup at every restaurant I eat at. This is definitely not your normal offering and if you like onions, then I recommend it. The steaks were all good. I had the dry-aged steak and the sear/crust was amazing. My children each had non-steak items and were very satisfied.

Might have been an off night, new staff or something else, but nothing really felt or went right. The French Onion was almost all breading, no broth; bruschetta had just a sliver of a tomato, no onion and no garlic as advertised and huge feta wedge, i order bruschetta all over the globe and this one was just odd. I ended up just asking for a side of their roasted garlic, put that on bread as a spread with that sliver of tomato and that was great 👍, then I took the check. Hopefully they have better nights in their future. Love the building and most of the staff i interacted with.

First time in Rapid City, and I made a reservation for my wife's birthday. I added a few notes to the reservation about how she likes to do dessert first and asked them to bring it out with a candle on it. The staff was all over the details. Great staff, great atmosphere and amazing food.

Very calm, quiet, hip place to eat. Without reservation I was seated at the bar, which was fine and comfortable. I had the 609 burger, which was excellent with white cheddar (they have a variety of cheese options to add for additional cost) and bacon (also additional). The truffle fries were excellent. Overall, definitely a great experience.

This was our second visit and both times impressed equally. Walking through the front door you instantly understand that you’re in an upscale restaurant being greeted by a great ambiance and a well dressed friendly staff. The top shelf service continues throughout the entire dining experience. The food is always expertly prepared, extremely flavorful, and high quality. They make a very nice old fashioned and have a nice wine selection. We really enjoy their cheese plate and bruschetta appetizers. The dry aged steaks are well worth the extra money and always flawlessly prepared. Overall Delmonico Grill is by far in the top two or three best restaurants Rapid has to offer. It’s on the pricey side, but well worth the costs given the very high quality food and excellent service.

Went last month for an early 6:00 dinner as we were told this place is always full. Since we're allergic to alcohol, we just had an ice tea and water along with the caesar and house salads for starters. For our main, went for the half chicken, which was good. Wife had the trout as their special of the day, which was overcooked and a bit dry. Service was excellent though it took some time for our dish to be served. Total bill came out to $107, a bit pricey for us. Overall nothing special.

Excellent steak house! Great, relaxing, and quiet restaurant. Food was wonderful.. the french onion soup for the appetizer was excellent. Our waiter, Leif, was superb. Very attentive, helpful and so friendly. Highly recommend this restaurant in downtown Rapid City, SD.

Just have to be straight...food was average. Salad was horrible, ribeye was just ok, dessert was good. Three nights later I went to Texas Roadhouse. For about 33% of the price the food was 100% better. Atmosphere is loud at Texas RH but food outstanding. Delmonico has a great location and great service. But not worth the price at all.

Service was fine and food was pretty good. Steak temp was accurate. My reason for the 2 stars is all about price. Just because you charge $70 for a ribeye does not mean you should. Just stick with chains if in town. Not much different and much better price.

Amazing meal. It was hard to make up my mind on what to order, it all looked delicious. I am not a huge fan of french onion soup, but thinking about it now makes my mouth water - it was so good.

Five stars for South Dakota quality. A $72 dry aged ribeye in Portland Oregon is far better in my opinion. Will definitely come again tho!

We visited here while traveling through the Northwest. We arrived around 5:30 and there were just a few diners already there. We started with a beef soup special of the day and then I ordered a filet, mashed sweet potatoes and sautéed mushrooms. The bowl of "soup" was incredible. It was more like a stew to me than a soup. The seasoning and flavors were perfect. My steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The sweet potatoes were ok and the mushrooms were very good. Service was excellent as was the wine. By the time we left the restaurant was at full capacity and I see why.

We were very impressed by staff 🤍 They were very knowledgeable on their menu and items; and they even stayed late for us. Their dry aged steaks and food were incredible; drinks were very good as well 👍 We will most likely return here again when we visit south Dakota ✨️
