A pretty reasonable price for the wide selection and all you can eat. The staff was friendly and helpful. The place was clean and well maintained from what I observed. The drink selection was limited compared to say Perkins but not worth removing a full point it would be a quarter star off at worst. The food was all very good and for a buffet I give it a full 5 stars.

I brought my family to eat after a 7 mile hike from black elk peak- welcome the thunder beings back. I spent 76 $$ for 4 adults, I thought we were going to have a good meal. The shrimp still had sh*t inside of 3 of 5 pieces. I then informed the manager, Jennifer, and she told my daughter well, if you stop eating right now, we can refund one of your meals. Not very friendly at all!!! and very very rude. Bathrooms are also very dirty! Will definitely not be coming back here again! First and last time!!! Also, waiter took the shrimp away before I could post the picture!!!

So we called ahead to confirm prices and were told lunch would be 10.99 ea, but they failed to mention a small drink would be 4 bucks each until check out. By the way, water also cost $$... So your telling me a small 4 sip soda cost half of what all you can eat food cost? Seems there soda supplier MAY be overcharging them and they just pass that on to there costumer's.. Fantastic! Mediocre food and outrageously priced soda? Great business model if you want to go "belly up"....

Of all the Golden Corrals I've been too, this one in Rapid City is hands down the best, there's not even a close second. The salads were fresh and stocked, meat and steaks were absolutely perfect, veggies were above top notch, and the carrot cake cupcakes were beyond incredible. Our server took our empty plates in a timely fashion and kept our drinks full without having to ask. The whole place was clean, to include tables, floors, and restrooms. Amazing Golden Corral, I wish they were all like this one. Best food I've had!!!

Manager gave us a discount because they were running short on some of the food. They just got done with sixteen bus's. The food was still hot and filling. Had some of the fried fish and it was really good. Overall it was a good meal. Wait staff was nice and friendly.

I was hired by a really nice lady named Tawny And when I arrived, Mike was the new general manager. He was very short and snappy when talking to his employees about getting food on the line and told me to try this on and proceeded to throw a shirt into my arms. I just got a weird energy when I walked into the place and no one seems genuinely happy. I don’t know why you hired this guy, but I would fire him if I were you.

I definitely over-enduldged. I left with a full belly! I went on a Sunday. It was a little over $18 with tax for myself. I got a water to drink. The food was plentiful and I enjoyed most of it! The staff was friendly as well. My server was attentive in refilling my water.

Lin worked our "area" of the restaurant and she was a ROCKSTAR! Service was excellent, the selection was fantastic and everything was fresh and hot! Never have we had such an exceptional experience. We were pulling a trailer and parking was so easy. Easy on and off the interstate as well.

This buffet had an excellent selection. Lots of people though! Our waitress, Angela did a good job, was friendly and helpful. Twas a treat eating at a Golden Corral once again while traveling through. No wait on food, etc. I did see people waiting in lines later. We got there at 4:05 PM.

We paid over $70.00 for 4 of us. Although they are advertising their summer backyard bbq now, the only thing available was one style of the ribs. No brats, and no corn on the cob. Many items were missing on the salad buffet that has always been a part of golden coral. An entire section in front of the grill was completely missing! Just empty tubs where at least 5 items had always been on previous visits. If you’re going to raise your prices, you should at least serve the food you advertise! I would recommend holding it if you need to use the restroom! Their facilities are filthy! Feces caked in the corners and along the baseboards. Feminine products on the floor as there are no trash cans in the stalls! Could not have ever had a deep cleaning, ever!! I give 2 stars as the staff is friendly and the food was good, what there was of it! Shame on the manager of Golden Coral, Rapid City! You need replaced! ,

I love Golden Corral. This one has lots of delicious choices. The staff was friendly and helpful despite being short handed. If you arrive right at 11a when they open, it's less crowded than at noon, so less waiting in line for your favorite items.

Went for Thanksgiving dinner...... Charged more than normal buffet because it was Thanksgiving...... Food was good, and being Thanksgiving the extra cost was understandable. Personally it was worth it. Plenty to eat, no clean up after dinner

This is atrocious. I have never seen anything like this. I walked into this the restaurant and the social standards aren’t set very high. The waitress had lack of communication. Food was undercooked and overwhelming. The worst of all there was a long strand of black hair in my food. I obliterated the bathroom within 5 minutes of eating I have food poisoning.

Jewel, our waitress was amazing! We had a party of 10! No dirty plates stacked. Drinks were full. Service with a smile! Food was really good as well.

Just in town for a couple of days 1st visit to restaurant. What can I say the food was really good. Had a steak that was so tender. Baked potatoes perfect. There shrimp was the best. But also the pot roast. This was the best golden corral I have ever been to. Wanted more but was way to full. Will return again before I leave town.

It was Thanksgiving so really what can you expect? Our server was awesome as well as another server who helped with refills. Food was running out, no steaks as an option that we paid for as well as the food not being very hot. We had a much better experience at the Golden Corral in Aurora, CO.

Giving 2 stars only because our server was decent. I visited on 11/12.Food was old/cold. there was grease from the hood vent dripping down the food glass and pooling on the food counter and into a puddle on the floor. That tells me they haven’t been cleaned in a long time. I told someone who grabbed a manager and all the manager did was take a towel and wipe the grease off the counter. Didn’t do anything about the drip or the huge puddle on the floor. When I left an hour later, a nee puddle was formed in the counter and the floor hadn’t been touched. I’ve attached photos

Took my daughter to lunch while waiting for Walmart to get her tire fixed. This place has definitely improved since the last visit, which was last summer. The person in charge of steaks actually knew what medium rare was and you get a generous portion. The salad bar had a nice variety of topping options and my daughter enjoyed the taco bar. The mashed potatoes and gravy were also delicious.

Great food, very busy, because I decided to go on Easter. Our server was very great. She kept our sodas full and was very friendly and had a positive attitude. It is a buffet so you do have to go get your food, but that’s the best. I will be going back!!

Steak sitting too long and was cold. I usually never have that problem but both mine and my husband's were, had to get a freshly cooked steak. Those were perfect! I think the manager had someone else cook it or himself.

This place has improved so much since last year! I heard they have new owners so that must be it. Seems cleaner, the employees are friendly and very attentive. It's pretty packed as usual but all the food was fully stocked, hot and tasty. Bathrooms were a little messy but overall good experience.

Stepped up their game and started keeping their food more fresh. The kitchen (especially the meat fridge where they keep the steaks) could use a good deep clean. The service was AMAZING kudos to our server DANIELLE who brought her "A" game. Never had to ask for a refill she even got us another steak and she was so busy. She stayed on top of it! Definitely upped the review! Will be requesting her the next time we dine!

My family and I came to South Dakota for a trip and decided to eat here. The food is good, but the place was understaffed, I think. There were only one or two servers working atm, they did an amazing job even when understaffed, they served with a smile and did the best they could. But the person that was cleaning the tables looked stressed, I believe she was the only one cleaning up after customers. People couldn't get seated since there weren't many clean tables. Honestly, one thing that frustrated me was that the person cleaning up tables didn't ask customers if they could wait a bit to get the tables ready. They only said that the tables were not clean and ignored them. I would just say that I hope that in the future there will be more people working. I feel really bad for both workers, both trying their best, but having a complete opposite attitude from each other.

This is our favorite place to stop when we're in town . Our recent visit was not good at all. The food was cold, not fresh. The same food sat on the buffet for as long or longer than we were there without replacing it with fresh food. It was very disappointing. There was not one item that was to our liking. Not sure if we will stop there on our next visit to Rapid City. Do better!

This is how Golden Corral used to be. This place is a gem and I am a fan who hasn’t had a good meal at one in like 10 years. So glad this place exists. Awesome service , the most food options I think I’ve ever seen at one , super fresh , really great.

Went to have a late lunch after work and it was fantastic. Good was fresh and hot, only issue I had with the food was I couldn't get any steak at the time. Server was attentive and amazing, quick refills and plate pickups.

Here for family gathering. Used a side room to keep the herd together. Help was perfect- checked on us often, previews around us, but not intrusive. Love them.

While the food taste nice, I got completely grossed out. That is why I hate buffets, because people practice very poor hygiene. I've seen a dude licking his finger after tasting food on his plate while he was serving himself. The goes to another item using that same hands to touch the same utensils other person's have to use to serve themselves. I saw a dude cough right the food counter while he was walking by without even turning away and using under his arm to cough. It's freaking disgusting.. Some humans are so nasty. So while the food is great, bever again will I eat there.because I have little control over what some idiots decide to do. The staff however are friendly, very nice, . They provide a great service. May the business should look into having people to scoop the food instead

Good quality food but could be better. They need to make sure they refresh all of their foods more. But the service is excellent!

Wow!! Very clean. So so many fresh tasting dishes to pick from. So good we had to eat there before again before we headed back to Minnesota.

Came here for lunch and it was super busy. we were able to find a table and met our server. she was very friendly. there were a bunch of choices though we would have liked more fruit options for the little ones. everything was hot and seemed of decent quality. the bathrooms were clean and there was ample amount of parking. i was a little grossed out that the servers and food workers wouldn't take off their aprons to use the bathrooms.
