Updating my review. Our last two orders have been messed up pretty bad. They're not taking our order correctly and then the bag doesn't even match up with what's on our receipt. It's really too bad the food is good, because the drive-thru is ridiculously slow and they really struggle to get orders correct. I don't know why they have a drive-thru. I've probably burned a gallon of fuel sitting in line for the last 25 minutes, there weren't even 10 cars in front of me.

I sat in line for 40 minutes for 2 soft tacos, and when I got my food they were made very poorly. They had plenty of staff and it wasn’t that busy. Do not recommend this location to anyone.

I love Taco John's. There rewards program is one of the best. Just regular bean burrito with potato oles. Load it yourself and you got a meat n potato.

Only good is the decor. The boss burrito is 75% rice with alot of overcooked rice. I have been here multiple times and 100% this location is the worst fast food in town. I have had more issues with getting a correct order here than anywhere else including McDonald's or Taco Bell close by. And the only true changes I make are no tomatoes and extra Ole seasoning and they 90% of the time mess it up. The oles are soggy half the time and the food is cooked terrible. I recommend Michells Tacos down the road, Qdoba near by, or Taco Bell, ahead of this Taco John's location the staff service, correction of orders, and food quality is the lowest in the area.

Always loved this place. Today I ordered sour cream and got cup of green stuff that was kinda brown. Think it was guacamole. I will be checking my order from now on. More attention to detail is needed here

Every time I get food here we are missing items. 3 times in a row. I paid $23 for 2 potatoes oles and 2 drinks and 1 stuffed grilled taco. Done with taco John's employees who are incapable of reading the order that they took at the drive thru. I shouldn't have to make sure that they're doing their job right.

Absolutely unbelievable. We ordered a chicken taco salad. In it we had about 6 dime sized pieces of chicken, lettuce and a way overcooked taco shell. There was no cheese, no dressing, no salsa. He had to put his soft chicken taco in his “taco salad” to even have some shredded cheese. We paid 23.00 for that and a taco bravo meal. And the floor was dirty. The employees were dressed like slobs. We will not be back. And you actually owe me $23.00!!!!

I have done drive thru service here for many years - breakfast and lunch mostly, and am usually quite satisfied with product and service. Unfortunately today, there were 2 long dark hairs in my taco bravo, rendering it inedible. I drove back to west side location with the taco bravo only to be offered a free taco bravo or a refund slip in a loose file for 2 taco bravos in future. I was too stunned to ask for a refund. But I do know I'll never return. The 'manager' wouldn't even look at the returned food item! I'm bald, and my 90 year old mom has short gray hair, so it was an inside job for sure.....

If you ever feel like you have too much time in the day I suggest using the mobile app. Every time I’ve used it and visited this location it always takes much longer than when ordering normally. This locations food and service is normally a 50/50. Sometimes it’s pretty decent food but mostly it is prepared very poorly. This location has helped cure my addition to the South Dakota lottery. I just come here to gamble on the quality of food I will get.

Y’all don’t read back the order, tell the price before we can pull up to the window. If y’all read back the order I wouldn’t be reading. I asked for no lettuce and y’all made it with EXTRA lettuce. And if you’re gonna up charge me for adding sour cream maybe don’t put a tiny scoop on one end of the taco?

Seems like there was less meat this time. What I had was very good I had a taco salad and the shell was delicious. Crunchy and not soggy , and not too oily. Thanks For the delicious salsa.

The lunch line in the drive up moved quickly . The staff was rushed and one could tell they were struggling to get through the lunch rush . Payment at the window was typical of a fast food restaurant. No greeting or sauces for the food . Not even a smile . Just a young man stating the amount . It is quite obvious where transactions take place at this window as the trash was built up on the ground and obvious evidence of spills out of the window as it had built up over some time . The food was adequate.

There's nothing really to say bad about the business other than their foods. Hella expensive. They changed out their chicken for less chicken $18 you get two potato Olays snackers a large potato Olays and a large drink is definitely not enough food for the price

All the stores in Rapid need to have this same layout. Big and clean. My burritos were actually made very well. It was great.

It's a Taco Johns, can't really go wrong, unless you eat somewhere else. Ha. I recommend the Crispy Chicken and Potato Burrito with a cup of cheese. Thank me later. Open later than some places so that's nice!

Sat in the drive up line for an hour for 4 taco burgers, 2 hard shells, and 2 potatoe olays. Sat at the pickup window for 15 min. Two young boys were at the window doing nothing but visiting and not doing anything to speed up the process. Finally got my food and found no hot sauce that asked for, and my hard shells we crushed and in pieces. This was some of the worst services I ever experienced at a TacoJohns. I will never patronize this store again. Needs better management there.

I dont think I'll be eating here again. I want to say I've been eating here a few times a year for a few years now. Maybe 1/3rd of those times the food is good. This last time.. I dont really have words. I'll post pictures. The olays were old, they werent even warm when given to me. The burrito wasnt a burrio(it was attached to the paper and smashed like a quesadilla or something), and my raspberry iced tea was pee flavored water. This burrito was not worth 8$, it tasted gross too because of the old olays in it, and definitely didnt have the right ingredients. The time before this I had been given a bag where the nacho cheese cup and been thrown in and poured over every item in it. Time before that there were items forgotten. And the wait for this drive thru is ALWAYS 5-8 minutes. How do I not get fresh food waiting that long? I used to absolutely love taco John's, but each time I've gone the food is not good and the place doesnt seem to have a single adult working there. I think I'll stick to taco bell or qdoba, they've never done me wrong like TJ's. I'm not mad, just disappointed. So long taco john.

A good location with good food. We went late in the evening a couple of times and got good service and well prepared, fresh, hot food. The area needs to be better lit and it would be more inviting after dark.

Tacos were good. The dining area was not clean. Service was slower than usual. It was really cold in the dining room.

Found hair sticking out of my breakfast burrito after taking a bite. Went to manager and showed her. Quote from her “that’s disgusting “. She got me a new burrito and a churro. How did I not get a free breakfast?? I get good help is hard to find. The cashier had “the out of it stare”. The manager wasn’t much better. The general spirit of all the Rapid City taco John’s is dead. We loved the salsa bar and it’s gone. We are reduced to mild and hot (not so much). Even Taco Bell has five different sauces.

I tried something different and didn't care for it. Grilled beef taco (too much taco meat, tortilla, and cheese sauce). My partner wanted the chicken boss bowl; but, they were out of rice. The potato Ole's are always good.

Used to respect taco john's, but after this potato oles, I don't think I will ever eat here again. Not only did we wait a half hour for our food my ole's we basically nothing but crumbs and that's ridiculous.

The teller was really nice, we had an issue when we ordered, the receipt didn't reflect what we ordered. She promptly fixed it, we got the correct order. We had chicken potato burritos, they were decent at best.
