Excellent Park. Its a little out of the way, but so worth the drive and the time. Mount Rushmore itself is awe-inspiring and the Black Hills are beautiful. Good museum too.

We came for just one day. And it was overcast. So overcast that you couldn't see the Presidents. However, we got to enjoy all the other amenities such as the museum which was highly informative of Mt. Rushmore past and development. We had some of the famous ice cream. We went the next day which by the way they offer free parking for the rest of the year once you pay the first time. If I was closer I would definitely go more than once. When we went early the next morning it was a gorgeous monument in the early morning light. This was over the 4th of July weekend so going early was an awesome way to avoid the crowds. Though we had to hit the road it was nice taking our time.

Astounding! Very good interpretive information. Walking closer to the monument was easily accessible. Crowded, even in colder weather.

The heads were appropriate size, ignore haters who tell you the heads are to small. Great heads, would come back in ten years with a family, highly recommend. Drive far and wide, I insist. Also please explore the national forest and the state park.

Mount Rushmore was always on my national monuments bucket list. It was very excited to be able to make the trip there this summer and it did not disappoint. After a very scenic and cool drive up the mountain side where we saw a goat holding up traffic while dining on some road kill, you reach the Memorial which is very well maintained and has plenty of spacious parking. The walk up to the monument is breathtaking as the four figures are in plain sight the entire time. There was a presentation complete with a video history of the area and how the 4 presidents were selection. Along with details on how the monument came to be. Would love to come back again, very satisfying trip and piece of American history.

Thrilled that I was able to get several passports and other National Parks memorabilia right here in Rapid City. Preparing to visit several parks this summer.

A fantastic stop for any vacation, or weekend off. Decent hike for a better view of presidents but beyond worth it. Can not wait to visit again and take friends.
