I made the visit with one of my daughters (10 years old). We arrived at Cotos around 2:30 p.m., and after the advice of the local guide we began the ascent to Peñalara. Super recommended, everything very well indicated. The path is of moderate difficulty, its length being the biggest obstacle, since we had a windless and sunny day. We made the ascent and descent in 4h30', taking numerous breaks and at a very calm pace. During the journey we met about 30 hikers, all very attentive and cordial.

Really good national park, offers something for everyone. We have visited the park from different towns such as Manzanares el Real, Rascafria, Cercedilla, and always loved our visits.
