A unique and charming hotel, with the greatest host-friend-couple!! The hotel it self is small and extremely well maintained and designed, at least if you like the minimalistic Nordic style with a blend of oak and industrial elements. The owner and her friend take care of their guests as if we were their close friends. Gives advice on what to experience and see, and tailor the breakfast for you. We cannot praice this hotel enough!

The list of positives is endless but I'll mention a few; great staff, bed, shower, breakfast, coffee, fresh baked goods the room, the mini bar is stocked with a wonderful selection of wines & beers, the neighborhood which is pretty near everything.

Good location, fair pricing, spacous, but freezing cold and not so well illuminated

We spent three nights here. It is a beautiful little hotel with the best quality hosts and service. The breakfasts in particular were made and presented with thought and care. We never needed lunch! Die Reederin is located in the heart of Lübeck’s old city, just a stone’s throw from the Hansemuseum (which is also recommended). There are good restaurants close by. The hotel is a sympathetic restoration of an old building, with many reminders of Lübeck’s historic past as a major shipping port.

Das kleine hotel ist einfach perfekt für ein Aufenthalt in Lübeck. Der Empfang war sehr herzlich. Die Zimmer sind perfekt, jedes Zimmer hat seine eigene Geschichte. Es ist von dem Hotel aus alles zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Frühstück wird serviert und war klasse frisches Brot selbst gebacken und frische gebackene Semmeln/ Brötchen 😉, plus Eierspeisen. Wir können es zu 100% weiterempfehlen

Wir haben uns sehr wohl und willkommen gefühlt. Tolles Team, super leckeres Frühstück mit selbst gebackenem Brot und Brötchen. Tolle Zimmer, alles gemütlich und modern, trotz initialer Nachhaltigkeit. Beides schließt einander nicht aus wie wir feststellen konnten. Absolut zu empfehlen, bei unserem nächsten Aufenthalt in Lübeck, „Die Reederin“ ist gebucht!

Wow was für ein stilvolles Hotel! Modernität trifft skandinavische Eleganz! Man kommt rein und fühlt sich Zuhause! Die Zimmer sind mit so viel Liebe und Mühe gestaltet und umgebaut worden! Man sieht wieviel Arbeit hier drin steckt und mit wieviel Blick zum Detail hier renoviert wurde! Ein herzliches Team inklusive!

What a fantastic hotel! Everything is so lovely - the rooms, the styling, the location. On top of that the breakfasts are amazing … and on top of THAT, the owner Nina is incredibly helpful and kind. Not only was Nina always there for us during our stay but when we left I forgot my phone and Nina went to simply amazing lengths to get it back to me. Could not be more thankful!!!

A wonderful small boutique hotel in old town. The hostess is super friendly and helpful and even willing to change breakfast time for us. The rooms are meticulously furnished with antique feel. Nothing to complain here. Highly recommended.

Long story short - a very very nice hotel with a fantastic atmosphere👍 Wonderful bed, room, breakfast - don’t miss the home baked bread for breakfast. We’ll be back as soon as possible
