We ordered chicken vindaloo, malai kofta, and Mango lassi... One portion is enough for one person. The taste is absolutely delicious. The service is also great and the hosts greet you graciously and make pleasant talk. Surely, a great experience and a good place to grab some Indian food in Lübeck.

Not Indian food at all. Worst Indian food ever had in my life. Traumatized Please do not go. Go to other indian restaurants. Cold ..no proportion of spices..filled wkth artificial flavours and old chicken

The worst Indian food taste I have ever tried in Germany..SAVE YOUR MONEY DONT COME HERE...I couldn't find any of the Indian staffs in this Indian restaurant who can cook proper Indian food...Don't believe the rest good reviews... Worst butter chicken...

It easy to give full credits. Food was honest and delicious. Really, this place is small piece of India in Luebeck. Not fine dine and this is good thing.

The food was worst not at all worth it This is not called as Indian food. No proper usage of spices and the paneer did not even taste like Paneer. We asked them to make it a bit spicy but they give spicy sauce to add which is not how spicyness works in Indian food. We ordered Fish Biryani which did not have atleast 3% of a typical Biryani taste which is a sad truth. Service was the only thing that was good.

The service was really good. Such a warm hostess. The food was amazing. Perfect Indian food - vegetable biryani and palak paneer was really good - even naan was perfection. Mango lassi was really good too.

Extremely unprofessional, would never go again even if the food tasted nice. Chased to finish food in 10 mins after receiving the order. Was advised they had bookings so while walking out magically they found me a table and then as the food was made the reserved people arrived so was asked to wait for another table in middle of the meal. Definitely no sense of customer service and respect and borderline racist behaviour.

The food was not Indian at all. Worst biryani till date. Overall only service was the good thing. Better ho somewhere else.

'Taj Mahal' is a fantastic Indian restaurant with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The lunch menu offers delicious dishes at affordable prices, with the option to customize spice levels. The naan bread is fresh and tasty, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!

Very friendly staff and feeling of family atmosphere, i personally chose the wrong dish of standard curry wich is fine but could of had more flavoure, the tandori on a hot plate smelled and looked very tasty so should of picked that one. I recomend this place also for being open on mondays wich most other restaurants where not!

Very nice and cosy restaurant in the historical center of Lubecca. The staff is very friendly and speaking English. Also our dog was welcomed. A wide choice of plates, included several vegetarian dishes. We were served very quickly in a peak hour. Very nice presentation of the meal, on some typical indian bowls with candles underneath and other interesting plates. The food was very tasty and portions realy abounded. It was also possible to have a doggy bag with the leftovers so we have a dinner for the whole family for the day after. Definitely recommendable!

This is the place to go to for good good indian food. We had the Lamb Curry, Palak Paneer, Naan, and Gemüse pakora, not one bite disappointed. The meat was tender, the curries/gravy was fresh and flavorful, and the pakoras were the best I've had since coming to Germany. They also gave us 4 chutneys which I would bet were in house made. We'll for sure be returning.

Excellent food, reasonably well priced and very friendly staff

This is a most excellent indian dining experience nestled right beside The Heiligan Geist historic Hospital. I have been here many times now and have never been disappointed in the presentation and quality of food. My favourite dish is Tandoori Lamb Tikka. Although very flavourful, Lamb tikka is very dry and requires a masala or patia sauce to be served with it. The restaurant doesn't seem to understand this and offers no sauce at all. I have made this request before on my many visits. I even offered to buy an extra sauce to no avail and was dependent on my friends sharing their sauces from their chosen dishes. This apart Taj Mahal, has excellent service with friendly staff i have been visiting for over 20 years and would recommend it to anyone.

For Celiac/Gluten sensitive, and also Vegan people this is a great option. The food is amazingly tasty, the plating looks exotic, although I find 5.80€ Charge for 5dl of tapwater horribly expensive.

Friendly staff with a steady stream of diners on a Sunday night. The samosas and Krombacher beer on tap were highlights, however, I didn't think the butter chicken was anything special or would have been different to the other curries. In addition, the serving was smaller compared to the generous serving of rice. Card payments of over €20 and I feel better value is available from other restaurants in the area.

The food was good and so was the service. But, you either come early or reserve a table because every table was taken shortly after we got there. We went about 17:30 on a weekday. I would go there again.

Definitely make a reservation! Friday and Saturday are extremely busy after seven. But the food is good, the Chicken Tikka is to die for!

A really cozy place to stay and the food is so so tasty! Never ate better Indian then here!
