When you travel rakwana deniyaya road, you definitely see this beautiful waterfall. This waterfall continue both sides of the bridge. Normally everyone see upper part of waterfall , if you want to see full waterfall you have use another road to bottom of this. There’s a another bridge. from that bridge you can see full waterfall at once. When it’s a rainy season, this waterfall continues big volume of water. But long period of the year this waterfall flow with tiny water volume. Be careful don’t get into water pond down the waterfall when it’s raining. Because there is a large volume of water flow suddenly. Near the waterfall there is a small snack shop. Boild corns and some snacks are in that shop. Beautiful place to stop your vehicle and spend some time.

Beautiful water fall located roadside. You can have a safe bath here. There are two water falls connected together under the bridge. Major water fall follows a cascade. You can see all these magnificent view by a few yard walk on the road.

Located on the Rakwana-Sooriyakanda- Deniyaya road. Safe place to have a bath. The water is icy cold and as clean as it gets. There is also a small shop next to the waterfall. You can buy roti and have a cup of tea there.

Picturesque scenery just at the edge of the main road. You can feel the breeze at the top of the footpath of the recently constructed bridge.

Galdola Ella Fall is situated at the 82nd mile post near Rakwana town on the Ratnapura – Pelmadulla Road in Ratnapura district. It is 100 meters high and originates from a tributary of the Rakwana River. The water flows over rock-strewn terrain and its flow is sometimes submerged by rocky outcrops. From Belihuloya travel along the Colombo – Batticaloa Highway passing Aluthnuwara and Opanayake up to Kahawatta. Then travel along the Pelmadulla – Embilipitiya Highway up to Madampe and then along the Galle-Deniyaya-Madampe Highway up to Rakwana to reach the Galdola Ella Falls.

The Galdola Ella fall originates from a tributary of the Rakwana River, which flows down the eastern slope of Suriyakanda Mountain, in the Sinharaja forest reserve. The water courses over rock-strewn terrain and at times the flow is submerged by rocky outcrops. This profusion of rocks gives the fall its name (‘Dola’ means rock pool). Galdola Falls is situated at the 82nd mile post near Rakwana, on the Ratnapura – Pelmadulla road. Rakwana rest-house is just 3km away.
