Great place to take kids out into nature and nice maintained hiking trails. A beautiful quiet little park. If you've never been to Dix Park and you enjoy a nice easy walk you should check this place out. They are making upgrades all the time too.

Great place to walk the dogs. First picture to all rookie hikers. This is real nature. Trees do fall. There are lots of bugs. Second picture is the grain silo of a near by farm. You will meet friends that you did not know. You may call them strangers the first time you meet them.

Yay, Portage Parks Wild Hikes Challenge. The hikes are not very challenging, to be sure, but I am finding parks less than ten miles from home I never knew existed. Amazing.

Tons of spring wildflowers! We went on April 11. Lots and lots of Marsh Marigolds. Beautiful. Ground in many places was carpeted in little flowers. Been a while so only name I remember is Yellow Trout Lily. When I’ve gone at other times of the year I’ve not found the park nearly as interesting. But we’ll definitely be back every Spring.

Nice park with lots of trails. Dog friendly. Lots of birds. Restroom for humans. We never knew this park was there. Sure we will visit again. Big storm today. Lots of downed branches but we were able to walk the entire trail. Very wet, and lots of bugs. Walked a mile.

Nice quick out and back trail with little off jetting loops. Good for a dog or the kiddos if you need to burn some energy. It's mostly a semi gravel/dirt/grass trail next to some marshy bits so wear some shoes that can get muddy if there's mud and put on bug spray.

Not a very big park. They have a few trails. One of many in Geauga county. Fairly decent parking lot and restroom facilities.
