Food and quality was good at the fishrestaurant inside Mercato Coperto, but way overprized! Eventually I paid €23 for the fried fish as seen on the picture, which I think is way too much in comparison to other restaurants in Ravenna.

Had nice plate of tagliatelle bolognese and a tasty beer. Great indoor place to hang out and beat the heat.

Not really impressed at all! Steak came without asking how we wanted it to be cooked. Services was very rush and pushing. Both dishes are not really happy with. More average than wow. I Won’t consider to go back again. Avoid this place in pov, won’t worth it to lose a day of dinner to come here.

This place was a great find on a cold day visiting Ravenna. We returned to it for lunch and later on, for a drink, sitting upstairs, on very comfy armchairs and sofa. The food, we already knew, as we had been to Spadone before. Their meat is spectacular !!! And everything else that comes along πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹ I have an all time favourite, the tartare, also called Batuta di manzo. However this time we ordered tagliata di mora, and it was a wonderful choice, moist, perfectly grilled pork. πŸ˜‹

Lovely place. Quite quiet when we went, midweek and early evening out of season but very well refurbished old market. Like Time Out in Lisbon only a lot smaller

When I first stepped into mercato coperto in Ravenna, I felt at home. It's not just the architecture and the design and ambience inside, but the concept of the cooperative. Here you can not only buy regional products, but also eat them. Here you don't meet salesmen, but communicative, friendly and helpful people who like to talk about their products. You can watch flour being made into bread or pasta, which you can then buy fresh or eat in one of the restaurants with a glass of exquisite wine. I can't stop praising this place and it’s concept.

Incredible piadina at Macelleria Malafronte, got the classic one with Prosciutto Crudo Squaquerone & rucola....delicious and filling. You can eat it in the seating area of the Mercato Coperto there's airco in the whole area so an amazing pit stop for a warm day of sightseeing :)

Surprisingly a very upscale Mercato when compared to ones that we visited in Bologna and Firenze. It is large and airy with a great selection of specialty food stands and 1 or 2 restaurants and a coffee stand. There is even a small grocery store. It is very quiet and there are not a lot of tourists despite the draw of the monuments or landmarks with mosaics. Would definitely stop here for coffee, a meal, snacks, or food items were I in this city in the future.

A nice place to relax, buy high quality local foods and hide from the hot summer days. The staffs are friendly and welcoming. Price is not cheap but reasonable. They also organize wine or cheese tasting experiences for customers with acceptable prices.

This is a huge indoor market with wonderful displays of food. I was here quite a few years ago and it has changed. If I remember correctly, there were many food stalls. Today, there are less but with a few restaurants inside. I checked out one menu, which looked great. When I was here in late October, the interior was being set up for some dinner event. I love any market in Europe, especially Italy with the beautiful displays of different cheeses and cured meats. Also inside is a small grocery store where you can pick up bottled water, wine and other items. This is worth a quick visit; or better yet, enjoy lunch.

Beautiful covered market. Great food and drinks. On the expensive side (located in the city center, upscale)

This is a market where you can buy or see the home made products or fresh fish. I ate at the restaurant that uses their products. You can sit inside or outside. It is right near the shops.

The bread 🍞 made in the Mercato is really good. The fusilli gluten free was ok, the tagliata di scottona fantastic. The staff was friendly. The service is relatively on time. Prices normal for a indoor market.

So happy of this place. We are very passionate with high quality food and even more with great service. I mean the real quality, not the fake trendy meals that you find around these days. We had a super luxury meal with the most refined wine I could ever imagine. To honour truth, we like to spend on quality and we also expect quantity. Not disappointed at all. We ordered the most amazing steak of high quality, so tender and tasteful. A nice find is bread of their own production that came in a sealed paper bag, so sensible in covid times. Side dishes as well as anything else was delicious, well portioned, and fresh. A real pleasure to eat where you find respect and honour to tradition. On top of it, the whole town of Ravenna offers outstanding kindness and friendly service, you really feel they are happy to have you there. Will be there again.

The pasta butarghe rivaled any in Italy, and while we're at it, the mixed grill romagnola was among the best platters of meat I have EVER had. What a gem, uncelebrated, devoted to regional excellence. Don't know when I'll find myself in Ravenna again, but I'm dragging everyone I know here. Charming staff, too.
