This is the perfect restaurant I’ve been in Melaka. It was unintentional choice to be here. Me and my company looked around the city to find out the place for dinner, but we found this restaurant has crowds of people so we spontaneously choose to visit here. Even though we don’t know Chinese, we got friendly treatment from staffs. Any compliments are not suitable because here has top-notch quality of taste even I can’t explain how much here is so perfect. You should try minced beef with fried tofu, tofu soup, and porridge(no need mention). Best place ever. I’m willing to visit here again.

Porridge House offers a diverse menu that caters to different palates. The food tastes like it was cooked at home, with a warm and appetizing flavor that leaves you feeling satisfied. The cozy and welcoming ambiance makes it the perfect place to enjoy a meal with friends and family.

Excellent porridge especially the seafood porridge. Also tried their sweet patato leaves and steam chicken. Had a satisfying dinner. We went in the evening so could find parking place. While there people were coming and going like a musical chair. Highly recommended.

This place does not only serve porridge which is very good. It is restaurant that serves many Chinese dishes with the added benefit of letting you enjoy varieties of porridge at a very reasonable price. We had porridge, noodles, fried belly pork, vegetables and a kind of minced chicken dish. On top of that we ordered takeout which was porridge, fried noodles, fried rice, fried belly pork, fried chicken in salted egg and spare ribs. Total cost was RM145. Staff were very helpful and glad to recommend dishes. Definite go to place next trip.

Delicious Chinese dishes and tasty porridge. Quick and super friendly service. Have the two awesome wait staff (twins?) walk you through one or more recommendations if needed. Will definitely be back!

Late dinner for 8+3 pax. Didn’t have a dinner reservation and the place was packed at 830pm. Lucky us got a table within 15 mins. While waiting for the table, one of the service staff took our orders first therefore we didn’t had to wait too long after seated for our food - good service 👍🏼 Dishes which were good and I would order again are the Thai style Ikan bilis, dry fried pork belly (think was the kung pow sauce) and the salted egg prawns. Prices were reasonable, prawns was tad expensive but also because bigger prawns were used.

Ordered seafood porridge, steam kampong chicken and bean curd. Everything taste so good especially the chicken, juicy, tender and full body. There are many types of porridge and cooked dishes yet to explore. Enjoy my dinner here. Hope in future they could consider some desserts. Definitely will come again🥰

Melaka Trip Part VIII We already had Peranakan food for dinner the day before and we didn't feel like having seafood or western food on our second day. I recalled someone told me to try this particular porridge restaurant located in older part of Melaka Raya. Business was good as I reached the restaurant but luckily we managed to get a table as it was still relatively early - one of the perk of having early dinner instead of going at peak hours. All the items in the menu were printed on a piece of laminated paper. We quickly pointed this, that, this and that. ◾Special Seafood Porridge - porridge is my comfort food and especially endearing when I was sick. Love the texture of the porridge filled with various seafoods such as fish, squid, etc. ◾Beef porridge was the choice of the young boy in the family as he didn't like seafood. He said that the beef slices were tender and nice, and his sentiment was echoed by his grandfather who was a beefeater as well.. ◾Steamed Asam Tilapia - love the tangy and sour gravy. ◾Steamed herbal chicken - option for the other kids who didn't want porridge, but to go with rice. ◾Braised pork trotter was lovely with soft & tender meat, plus that sauce that went well with rice. ◾Beancurd with minced meat ◾Stir fried sweet potato leaves Something different to eat in Melaka for a change. Those who came late had to either be seated outside alfresco style or wait for their turn.

Food's nice here but lacking oomph. Wanted to actually have a more luxurious seafood dinner with my family but they seem to not know how to recommend the dishes and instead we ended up ordering simpler options.

We ordered 3 types of porridge, scallop, fish and pork and all delicious! Do not be fooled by S,M,L portions, even it is a S size, you can share it with 3 people. It includes coriander and ginger. All porridge taste different. Nyumm. We ordered additionl omellete and braised tofu! Must try. They offer various side dish you can try. But its all in mandarin, better ask the owner for recommendation. She is very nice to assist us and even ask do we like the food she recommend. Better come early by 5.30 or it will be packed

Staying in hotel nearby and decided to just grab a quick bite anywhere. Chance upon this place on google maps only 6min walk from hotel. It was packed on a saturday night with customers constantly coming in. Food taste fantastic, very solid chinese food. The chef must be very experienced. The food we ordered + Drinks and 2 beer catered for 8 Adults (2 elderly) and 3 kids comes up to about RM 300. Definitely worth every penny. The pork belly with chilli and dark sauce was the unanimous favorite. Tofu with minced pork, fried egg and salted prawns was the kids favorite. Overall, definitely worth coming back for the food.

Wifey and I had small portions of the pork minced meat porridge, tofu in homemade minced meat sauce & sweet and sour fish. Delighted with the simple but fragrant and delicious dishes! Will definite come back for other dishes!

Only ordered 1 porridge as we already had dinner but still wanted to try this. Very fragrant porridge for just a simple minced meat century egg porridge. Very reasonably priced too.

Had a medium-sized fried rice and hot tea for twice. The first time I went was on 11 pm, customers were not many, everything was normal. The second time was on 7 pm and I had to wait 10 minutes to be seated and another 40 minutes to get the fried rice I ordered. Will not go again unless at late night. The food portion was generous. The fried rice was great for both times. An enjoyable meal.

Food is good no arguments there, staff is friendly too. Pricy also the menu doesn't tell you the diff betwwen S and L so it seems like even if you say small they can charge you any size they want. Receipt doesn't state as well. Could do with some clarify on Menu.
