This
temple
was
built
in
the
1903
by
Malayan
Railway
Employees.
This
well
designed
and
beautiful
Hindu
temple
attracts
devotees
from
different
parts
of
the
city
especially
during
festive
occasions
of
the
Hindus.
There
were
plans
of
demolishing
the
temple
in
the
year
to
make
way
for
new
developments
in
that
area
however
perseverance
from
several
devotees
as
well
as
minister
at
that
time
finally
led
to
the
cancellation
of
the
demolition
plans.
The
temple
has
also
undergone
some
renovations
and
highly
regarded
and
respected
for
being
an
extremely
famous
Shiva
temple
of
Kuala
Lumpur..Finally
after
30
years
of
waiting,
the
100
year
old
Arulmigu
Sri
Ramalingeswarar
temple
in
Jalan
Maarof,
Bangsar
got
its
approval
letter.
The
gazette
approval
letter
was
handed
over
to
the
temple's
committee
in
January
2012
by
the
Federal
Territories
and
Urban
Wellbeing
Minister
Datuk
Raja
Nong
Chik
Raja
Zainal
Abidin
during
a
special
consecretion
ceremony
(kumbhabhishegam)
at
the
temple.The
land
has
been
gazetted
for
temple
use
and
will
be
run
by
the
temple
committee
members
To
be
the
only
temple
in
the
world,
(outside
India)
where
one
is
able
to
witness
the
yearly
Chariot
Procession
for
the
63
Saivite
Saints
(Nayanmars),
The
temple
is
famous
for
Pradosha

Shivaratri
