The food itself is fantastic. However, maybe this is something I am too sensitive about but would still like to point out. I was dining there with a male friend (and I am a woman) and the waiter acted as if I did not exist and only talked to my companion when ordering. My companion kept quiet and I started to order, only then, did the waiter acknowledge my presence. Towards the end when the bill came, the waiter asked my companion if he would check the bill. For context, my companion is very clearly not local and was not the one who ordered. I was so annoyed, I simply said "No, let me check it since I am the one paying". And then the waiter giggled awkwardly. Stop making assumptions and treat everyone equally.

I am not a lover of Indian cuisine. But their food is really nice which worth to try! Restaurant is clean and the people there are very polite. I love their welcome drinks which make with syrup and spices. They do have Shisha and bar beside the restaurant too, quite comprehensive. Price is reasonable too.😊

We ordered for a small group for a birthday lunch since we wanted something different. Delivery was arranged perfectly and was on time all the Kajang. Food was awesome as per the reviews I saw earlier. We really enjoyed the food. Happy tummy and price is kind of okay too. We added more pleasant flavour by spreading it on banana leaf 😋

This is my first time here . The restaurant is easy to find but parking outside is limited. There's a nearby parking spot for rm 10 . The restaurant is big and there's plenty of seating. It's better for you to make a reservation if you're coming as a big group . This restaurant is a Kerela cuisine inspired restaurant and its amazing. The deco is nice and large seating The staff here is amazing ( we were served by rocky )Once we're seated we're greeted by the staff and a complimentary drink and a small history of the restaurant. The menu has a wide variety and even the drinks is amazing. The portion is small / medium sized. We ordered palak paneer and we asked it to be spicy and when it wasn't, they brought it back and re-cooked it again. I would say the server was nice and friendly. We were there for my fiancé's birthday and they were sweet enough to make a custom card wirh our photo which was just taken earlier. That's extremely sweet of him tbh. The only con for me was the wait time. The drinks took little to no time but the food was abit late. Waited around 20 to 30 mins but the server was nice enough to apologies and check on us frequently. I do recommend coming here and trying their food out. ( if you come in a small group maybe you'll get served fast as they would usually serve everything all at once)

Loved the food here. The broccoli w spicy coconut sauce was absolutely divine! The dry coconut mutton was also good. We came on a Wednesday and they only had Bahubali set for Briyani- too big for us. Panneer Butter Masala was too sweet for my liking and the pakora tasted like chickpea ‘vadai’. Overall a good experience. They also have a bar on the side w outdoor Sitting. A good place for event…

Good pleasant experience. The palak paneer, pratha, and gulab jamun was very nice and freshly made. Butter chicken was nice also but to note most pieces are boneless chicken breast. The stuffed squid was just average. The lovely memorable experience is the welcome drink they give you which is a refreshing cold lime mixed drink. Waiters are ok and food came out fast. Will come again.

Went here for wife's birthday lunch. Really good food and service. They have a welcome drink spectacle too!! Our server Rocky was excellent and also supper attentive. At the end of the meal he surprised my wife with a birthday kulfi - very thoughtful. It was a welcome gesture! The service overall was very good and we all enjoyed the food. We will definitely return to try their other dishes - possibly wirh a bigger group. Definitely want to try the Bahubali briyani platter amongst other items.

Superb food! I can't remember all the food I ate but I could give 9.5/10 to most of them for sure. The prices are affordable too. The chai was the champion! That's a must try. So creamy with a slight taste of spices at the tip of the tongue. Pakora was awesome too with that dipping sauce. It was still crispy when it's cold. Staff here are very friendly, they assisted us from the time we came in until we left. Will most definitely come again.

Didn't start off great as they didn't have our reservation. Managed to get a table for 9 pax. Had difficulty scanning the menu. A little frustrating actually. Food came slowly but the dishes were good. Tea and coffee too. They were understaffed and did their best to accommodate us though.

Bahubali Briyani rocks! 💪🏽 Some of the good stuff in this Bahubali Briyani (for me la) The mutton Briyani. Chicken Briyani and Fried Chicken. The fish inside the Banana Leaf. Prawn Curry. Prawn Briyani. The Dhall was amazing! Just that I can't eat so much. I do feel a bit sorry that the Gulab Jamun is not for me. That is my fault & my bad. In addition to the Bahubali Briyani, I also loved the PANEERs... Fried Paneer and Paneer Curry. Amazing! 🤤 Butter Chicken was good too but tasted similar to the Paneer Curry. Mutton Curry - CRAZY GOOD 😋 Too full didn’t get to eat the Cheese Naan. Tried the Garlic Naan, probably should have eaten it when hot. I'm so full now but I'm drooling thinking about the food that I just had. You do not have to take my word, just look at the reviews and the ratings 👍🏽💪🏽 Of course there are some points to improve here and there. I hope they won't get complacent and continue to strive for excellence and continuous improvement. 😅 To fully enjoy the spread here, you need a minimum pax of 6 to 8, otherwise you won't be able to order so much. Aiyo, forgot about the Chicken 65. If we ordered, I'd probably have to roll on my stomach home. We still have quite a lot of food to pack home. Superb stuff. I have no idea why people are rating this place so highly. The food is mediocre at best. The service is fine but the waiter would not leave us alone . Too chatty. The main things that we wanted to order were not available. The dishes were obviously pre-cooked and not fresh. The desserts were also not available. What was available was not good. The gajar halwa was so sad and the gulab jamun was too hard. Very disappointed in this "Indian" restaurant. will not be visiting again.

Delicious Indian food place. Had the kanthari fish for starters, which is tasty, if a little thick with the batter. We also has the chetha kozzi curry (my fav) and the mutton melagu kuzhambu (very tender and bursting with flavors, as described). Very helpful and friendly staff. Nice ambience, although the music is a tad loud. The place has pretty limited parking (since it's Lorong Maarof) but they have a kinda valet so you can park by the side and pass them your key. This restaurant is simple and cozy. The staffs are friendly. Food varieties are more of kerala cuisine. We ordered palak patani masala, broccoli kanthari, pulao, prawn kizhi, lollipop chicken.They were awesome. Kerala paratha was ok ok, mutton coconut fry not tat great and chicken briyani was also average.

The overall experience was quite disappointing. We had planned a family gathering with around 20 people and chose this restaurant. The ordering system isn't good. They had QR codes for each table, but they were only for viewing the menu. To actually place our orders, we had to communicate verbally with the waiter. Another major letdown was the portion sizes. While we understood that it was a fine-dining Indian restaurant, it would have been nice if they had informed us about the portion sizes beforehand, especially considering we were ordering for the whole family. We couldn't assume anything based on the high prices. For instance, the mutton curry cost RM40 but was served in half a coconut shell. Moreover, the waiters seemed clueless when we asked about the dishes. Even when we requested a large portion of rice for the family to share, they brought us rice that was barely enough for two people. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for large groups. Regarding the food itself, the chicken and mutton biryani were good. Rest of the food was alright.I didn't enjoy the fish curry and kulfi.

I wasn't a big fan of South Indian food until I found this place. As it was my first time here,the waiter patiently explained the food menu and recommended some dishes based on our preferences. The dishes were good and it definitely changed my perception of South Indian cuisine. Altho the price is on the higher end, the portion justifies the cost.

Good marks for style, ambience and food presentation but came here for a family birthday function and found the food not up to expectations. Let me start by saying it's a mistake. The menu looked really good hence I decided to bring my wife for a good evening accompanied by Indian cuisine. The reason I gave this place 2 stars is because the ambience of this place was great for conversation. A perfect date place. However, the service was horrible. Took forever for the waiters to come and take orders and the place wasn't even full (far from it actually). Finally when the waiter showed up, half of the items in the menu was not available! Finally made the order and the food came pretty late with half of my order missing! Even the drinks! Basics! Thought the food would be great but it was disappointing. The dishes were under seasoned... Oh my oh my... Will I come back? Not worth my time and money. P/S: the chef's thick mushroom gravy came in the consistency of rasam. I definitely don't think the guy who wrote the menu communicated his expectations to the chef!

Our overall experience at Gajaa was good. It was the first time we visited the restaurant. We made a reservation for Diwali and got a refreshing welcome drink upon arrival. We ordered a plate of prawn cutlets to start with, followed by a selection of plates of lamb, filled squids with prawns, spinach, rice and chapati. All the plates were tasty and nicely prepared. To drink we ordered a glass of wine each and plain water. The service during all our stay was very good and attentive. Only the wine selection could be a bit better, since the quality of the wines lacks behind the food. And charging RM 2 for plain water is ok, but doesn't look nice on the bill, it's unnecessary. Finally, it was a good experience which I can recommend to others.

My family and I had a great time here. The place was clean and well kept. One of the staff, Deshan was very friendly and attentive. Food is great, really enjoyed the keerai masiyal and prawn kizhi. Their tea and sweet appam was very scrumptious too. I can definitely see myself returning to this restaurant frequently.

The food was absolutely fantastic. Really well-portioned, clean, delicious traditional Indian food. The Tandoori chicken, and garlic cheese naan were so good. Some of the best Indian food I’ve had out and about in Southeast Asia. The prices aren’t too bad either. This restaurant is certainly worth trying. Come hungry so you can sample numerous dishes—it’s worth it! The interior design is quite comfortable and elegant. The seats are well-cushioned, and the tables and floor and very cleanly. It’s slightly dimmed inside, giving a nice ambiance for dinner service. I personally had no issue with the service when I ate here, though I know other patrons have had their issues here and there. Definitely worth trying while in KL if you’re craving Indian!

There are very few eateries that we fall in love at first visit. One of it is Gajaa 8. Special thanks to waiter Rocky who managed us from beginning till end. Food is good, well prepared and the meat 8s fresh. Their welcome drink is exceptional, should try it. Parking is limited but you can double park at the restaurant parking and the staffs can help you manage your vehicle. Good for gatherings, good food , great ambience and friendly staffs.

Came here for the first time and i really liked the service (provided by Hirosh). Would really recommend the muttom melagu and the lamb briyani. The mutton was served hot and tender while the briyani was soo flavorful and moist. My partner really liked the Gulab jamun, he said it was the best he ever had but it was tad too sweet for me. Clams Moilee however was too small of a portion and too little baby clams.

Note: limited car park in front of the restaurant but there is an open air car park with Rm 10 per entry, nearby the restaurant.

What i love the most about this restaurant was the interior designs and pictures on the wall , showing the beauty of kerala. They played good musics and it was so calming for the ears while chewing on food loaded with spice. They do serve a welcome drink which is chilled lime juice shaken with some spices, it was refreshing sip. I tried their chicken and lamb briyani, it was average in taste. Lamb was boneless but i could taste some bitterness in the briyani, making it a spoiler. Price is reasonable and service was good. For a sweet finish, i tried their durian kulfi, it just tasted like a normal durian flavored ice cream with no texture in it.

Our waiter was Rocky. He did an amazing job keeping us feeling accommodated and came to check on us every now and again. A special birthday card was given as a show of appreciation. Thank you Rocky for your amazing service, keep rockin' 🤟

Been here for the first time, had a wonderful experience with a unique welcome drink, followed by a series of delicacies incl. Appam, pakora, Butter chicken, mutton masala, fish curry Kerala preparation, dum biryani and in vegetarian, they served palak paneer with super rich thick gravy & ladys finger dry subzi. All in all superb food, good service, not too expensive and highly recommend if Ur craving for Indian food Kerala style...!! Feeling of being special: they clicked picture of our grp stating some reason and gifted a greeting card to one of us (bday girl) with that grp picture ... overwhelmed with the act 🙂

Well this is a long overdue appreciation post. Had my baby shower here in Gajaa on 29th September 2020. I would like to thank the gajaa team for providing us good service and great food! We got good reviews about the food from all our guests. Would highly recommend this place for events. They could easily accommodate 100pax. We took their buffet package and there were lots of varieties and all of them taste good. Nice ambience and cosy. No regrets in choosing gajaa! Thank you

DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE FOR DINNER. We went for a dinner get together. After scanning our temperatures, an old Indian uncle rudely yelled at us “Scan your temperature and go in!!” So rude! After going in, we noticed the pathetic ambience of the place. The tables had no tablecloth, placemats, nothing! Just a bare table! The Chinese open air restaurant near my home has a better ambience and a tablecloth, at least. The food took 30 minutes to come. The drinks took 25 minutes to come. And these were just normal drinks, not even alcohol! Service is so bad! The waiters are more interested walking up and down, instead of getting us our drinks. Food is decent, but the ambience and service is such a put off that we will never return to this restaurant. Horrible experience.

Firstly, We loved the restaurant's ambiance and the decor was very nice. However, the service we received was not acceptable at all! We ordered, received the food, understand it was busy and food came in slightly late but then the waiter did not provide us with plates and cutlery for a good 10 minute, despite asking them multiple times. And then our food got cold so we requested them to heat that up, and that took about 10-15 minutes. What's worst is that they served burnt rice to us. The waiters was not attentive at all, the food was super pricey, taste of food we ordered was not all that good as well. We came to try this place only after watching the Sree Sonic youtube video, but the food taste wasn't as good as they claim.

1st time here. except for some hiccups by foreign workers & unable to understand our orders, the food, especially the naans were very gd w even one custom made Raisins naan.

Usually a very good place to dine in but today was a massive letdown. The way they managed the Onam Sadhya was quite bad. Staff were busy doing anything but serving and clearing up tables. Manager was nowhere to be seen. Tables beside us were all in a grumpy mood and we were wondering why. Took about 45mins to get our banana leaf ans another 20 to get the food! Food choices were limited despite having a Sadhya menu. 50bucks for a Sadhya is pricey especially when the food served is lesser than what the menu states. To top it all there was a service charge of RM20! No more Sadhya here although can make it for their regular menu.

Nice ambience, suitable for date/family gatherings. Food was OK, had rice and chicken butter and chetta khozi curry (recommended by waiter - not to my liking). Fast service, maybe bcs its not lunch/dinner time (Friday evening). Price above average but still OK, overall food are all just OK, nothing to hype about 👍🏻

No complaint on the taste and service but the PORTION is very very small, especially compared to the prices. I ordered a prawn dish and was charged RM42 and the item served could fit in the palm of my hand. there were 6 small prawns inside- that's RM 7 per small prawn! As i thought that this must have been a mistake, I called the Manager (Viknesh) to speak about it. To my surprise, he said that that the prices charged to the portion served (RM42 for 6 small prawns) is JUSTIFIED and as is as per their normal menu. Not a place to go if you want a hearty meal :)

Repost: I never wrote bad reviews till date however today I was terribly disappointed. so I'm writing this to ensure the onwners will take necessary action to improve. we went there due to the good reviews online. we were 8pax with 4 kids... we reached around 9.10pm. by the the time we ordered it was 9.20pm. literally our drinks was served 45minutes after we had to remind them again. we still waiting patiently until an hour. finally we were really hungry and we told the waiter that we shall leave if our food is not done.. we understand it a Saturday crowd will more than usual day.. that's why we didn't make a big fuss. sadly after 1 hour 15 minutes wait food arrived with was the appetizer vege pakkoda and chicken pakkoda which was half cooked..there after other chicken and mutton items arrived which was cold and it was not hot. I ordered garlic cheese naan. I recieved a very bad cheese( spoiled taste cheese). I thought it was only for me but I got my family also to try and we even got the waiter to taste it and he agreed that it's bad. other food all was cold. we request for basmati rice but they served us with normal rice claiming it's basmati. I'm really sorry to say this but I and even my family do go alot of food hunting and we explore new food. but sadly this is the worst we have eaten. we all came back with empty stomach.. I hope that Gajaa management will seriously look into this to improve your food quality and services. please note that we expect quality food for the price you are charging.

This restaurant actually served us rotten food we had a very bad experience in the restaurant. The food was only served almost more than 1 hour after the order. We had brought this to the management but they gave us a discount of 10% for rotten food. People can actually charge us for rotten food. The management was very snobby!!

I've tried their bahubali platter and goodness it's so filling & yummy! In fact, it's actually very affordable because shared by 6 pax! Also, they have just launched their shisha parlour called GVS (Good Vibes Shisha) next door (where they have their bar) and its so cheap for Bangsar price, only RM20 and it is quality, premium shisha!! They also have my favourite flavour, Paan shisha!! 😍 I'm so going to be a regular customer!

Waited 45 mins for the food. Food good, service not so... We literally waited 45 mins for our food. We had a party of 11. The restaurant wasnt even at full capacity because of MCO. They brought out 2 appetizers within 10 mins and then we ended up waiting about 30 more minutes for the rest of the dishes. This was despite the waitress saying all food will be out in 20 mins, and repeated reminders to the waiters. The worst part was when the owner comes to the table 5 mins after all the food is served, with a big smile plastered on her face asking "how's everything?". I mean, where was she when we were waiting for 45 mins? She obviously saw that we hadn't gotten our food and could have come over and made small talk or apologised. All she did was walk up and down and only come over when the food was served. Taste of the food was pretty good. Prices are super expensive, expect to pay about RM50 per head even of you're sharing the dishes.

The dishes were under seasoned... Oh my oh my... Will I come back? Not worth my time and money. P/S: the chef's thick mushroom gravy came in the consistency of rasam. I definitely don't think the guy who wrote the menu communicated his expectations to the chef!

Priced moderately but worth the taste which is simply amazing. Very cosy place for superb lunch with family. This place offers small gathering for group of 30 up to 100 packs. You will be given buffet package from RM45 up to RM80 depending on menu. Ala-carte simply awesome. Don't forget to taste their signature dish and soups for the day. Service is good and place is clean. Highly recommended...

Sadly i was disappointed. We ordered meen polichattu but it was not authentic at all- when enquired it was not cooked by a Kerala Chef. So it wasnt the real deal unfortunately compared to many other Kerala restaurants. The waiter was friendly though.

Indeed a fine dining specialty restaurant on Indian cuisine. The ambience is quite pleasant, with soft instrumental music playing in the background. The preparations of the Chef were phenomenal. Ordered Fish Kanthari for a starter. It was indeed great beginning to a much relished gastronomical journey. Prawn Moilee, Kerala Parotha and Chettinad Dum Lamb Biriyani were too complimenting and delicious. Was attended by Deshan, who was quite pleasing and prompt.

Bad experience for a first visit at Gajaa 8.Booked for 4 pax one day earlier .We ordered teaser and later main dishes.Servive was bad as they were short of staffs.They also had a big birthday function .mand yet they didnt have enough staff.We particularly told the staff not bring drinks early but to wait for our instructions .But they brought the drink first and we rejected and asked them to take it back .After our meal then we asked them to bring the drinks which they brought the Vannila Shake which was made earlier.Main diashes were delayed for one of us .Even drinks for one of us were delayed.Quality wise specialy the shakes were very low.Chicken curry was bad as they didnt know how to cut the chicken pieces.Chicken lolipop was bad also ,not well cooked,with masala still very raw.All the expensive look and the interior deco not worth paying .First & last visit .

Very nice and clean dining area. Followed MCO SOP very well. Only 2 per table, more than 1 meter apart. Very nice, gentle and friendly staff. I was vegetarian and the items I ordered were just quite normal. Will try non vegetarian next time. Since it was MCO, car park wasn't a problem. Not sure on normal days. Good music, they adjusted the volume as per our request

Enjoyed the hospitality and liked the fact that there was ample parking spaces perhaps because of MCO. We were seated at a spot where the air cond was not functioning until we asked to switch. Food was not great in comparison with authentic Kerala food.

First time here. Ordered the broccoli with coconut sauce, grilled fish with spices and chicken lollipop. All were really good, customer service was excellent, price really reasonable and we were given kulfi on the house too! Great overall everything and will definitely return soon!

Overall was satisfied but the service was slow (maybe lack of manpower or something cause only two people was serving). Thumbs up for chicken lolly pop, kanthari fish, koonthal nirachathu, egg masala and sweet appam. Abit overpriced as the portion is kinda small but food was very tasty.

Great environment and good food to back it up. The Kanthari Fish and chili paneer we ordered tasted so awesome! You could tell there was something unique to all of the dishes. Butter chicken however was quite dry and a letdown. There were also some flies during our visit, overall enjoyable.

I took my friend here as a treat for her birthday. It was the first time for the both of us, but we were pleasantly surprised. The food was good! Everything we ordered- from the prawn moilee to the mutton coconut fry, was good. They also had rather yummy gulap jamun, which was a right treat! The staff were attentive and friendly and a welcome drink was a nice touch. We'll be going back again. Very good!

Rocky served us and he is so nice 10/10! Top notch Service is really good. We Ordered veg and non-veg both, i loved the entrance part of the restaurant and the welcome drink of chat masala was cool and nice. The food was delicious. I loved butter chicken, mutton gravy served in coconut shell, spinach Chicken, Paneer tikka masala and Butter naan. Masala chai on point guys. The nice environment and ambience. Found dish pricing a bit high, but worth of it.

Visited Gajaa @ 8 for first time and definitely will come back to try more of their other Kerala specialties. Being a Chef and Restauranteur myself and also a follower of good Indian food, i must say that this restaurant has all the elements of an excellent authentic Indian Restaurant. Their service team was friendly, product knowledgeable and professional. Unfortunately, we were only 3 of us and managed to order 5 dishes out of their large selection. Highly recommended kanthari brocoli, brinjal masala, fish pollichathu & mushroom pepper fried and Mama's mutton curry. Their mango kulfti is the best i had, made from India's best fresh "Alphonso Mango" Will definitely come again for more with more friends. Thumps up to their young entrepreneur owner Dharran who knows his business well and have the perfect skill set for a successful restauranteur.
