I’m at a loss for words. I entered the clinic at 1:00pm for my appointment and proceeded to the front desk. The receptionist said: “Put this mask on.” I said: “But I thought the CDC removed the requirement for masking in healthcare facilities in September, 2022?” “Doesn’t matter. Did you see our door? Mask required. Here.” She hands it to me. I obeyed. Although I had filled out the online appointment form previously, I was required to fill out the same form when I arrived. I sat down and waited…and waited…and waited. 55 minutes later, it’s finally my turn. I’m not sure why it took so long. There were only two people sitting in the room before I arrived. For the whole hour I sat there, the music repeated on the TV set as it played “The Lorax” menu screen over and over again, waiting for someone to hit the play button. Finally - I hear it. “Michael.” I was greeted by a nurse who did not look too happy to see me. Of course, I could only see her eyes. No “hello.” No “how are you?” Just: “Step on the scale.” “Should I take off my shoes?” She sighed. “Whatever you want.” I decide to take off my shoes. Don’t want the extra pounds on my medical record. Seated in the room, I’m asked a few questions. Takes blood pressure. She asks me to take my mask off - then she takes a swab of my nose for a test. I wait another 20 minutes. The door finally opens. First words out the doctor’s mouth: “Put your mask on!!” Terrified, I obey. “Up over your nose!” Simon says. After asking about my recent symptoms, he says: “The test says you’ve got both influenza B and Covid, too. Both viral. Nothing you can do but get rest and drink lots of water. Go home, wear a mask, and quarantine for 10 days. I’ll get your paperwork.” Before I knew it, I was standing outside in the parking lot, cold and coughing. No medicine. No counsel except “wear that mask!” Only difference? I was now $140.00 poorer. As I said in the beginning, I’m at a loss for words. Is this what the Practice of Medicine has become? A cattle call? No one deserves to be treated this way - especially not when they’re vulnerable and sick. Instead of CareNow, this felt more like NoCare. Medical doctors - like other professions - used to understand that the patient was also a client. Advise not force, recommend not order, and respect bodily autonomy. But with three years of forced treatment - and no second opinions - it seems nurses and doctors are kicking the dog since they can't fight back either.

On September 17, my fiance rush to the Urgent Care located on 350 hwy Raytown Mo. I was having a stroke l didn't know nor did my fiance. My fiance told the nurse sitting at front desk that l had a bad headache and my speech was a little slurring. They call my name within minute to back. The nurse got back in room took my temp and blood pressure and l trying to tell nurse what going the nurse immediately got the doctor. The doctor came in very quickly and he asking me about the medicine I take or had taken but once he heard me trying to talk the doctor immediately told me he could not understand me and he is calling the ambulance to get me to a hospital. The other nurse came to try to do a EKG on me didn't get know cause the ambulance personnel was there to transport me to the hospital. The staff at that Urgent Care didn't waste no time getting me to the proper place cause they knew l was having a stroke. I am doing fine. I did have a mild stroke. Me and my fiance are very thankful for the quick thinking for the nurse at the front desk, nurses and doctor. Don't remember the doctor name there at the Urgent Care. I would recommend that Urgent Care to anyone that staff is in point. Thank you again Urgent Care on 350 Hwy in Raytown Mo. D&R Allen

Excellent service! Making an appointment for them to call us in was easy, the waiting office and staff was very pleasant, and the reception team and medical team were both very competent, understanding, and helpful and supportive to resolving our issues. They were a great help and will return next time we need a great urgent care in the area! Thank you

The support staff was pleasant. I needed an infection drained and an antibiotic. She refused and referred me to the ER. I directly asked her if she was going to do anything to help me. She said no. So I said I’m wasting my time here and walked out. Went to the ER where they did exactly what CareNow should have done. Oral antibiotic and drained infection. I plan on requesting a refund as it was literally a waste of $140 and 2 hours of my life. Now I have an ER bill as well. Thanks CareNow. Good job on collecting money and literally refusing treatment. And you wonder why smart people don’t trust health care providers.

Went in due to sore throat and extreme pain when swallowing. Waited no more than 15 minutes to be seen. Was administered strep test and was out all with 30 minutes total. The staff was diligent. Clean establishment. This visit could have easily taken hours had I went to ER. No complaints.

The staff is very overwhelmed and it shows. After a 2 hour wait, I was told that they would prefer if I went to the ER to seek treatment as it was beyond their capabilities. I expressed that I did not wish to go to the ER and was treated quickly. During my wait, I was told that my insurance company was unresponsive on Sunday's to confirm a copay so I would be charged $50 and then the final cost would be addressed when they submitted a claim. Since treatment, CareNow has informed me that I was denied coverage due to termination of policy. When I called my insurance company, they confirmed that they have not received a claim from CareNow and that there is no record of communication. This pattern has continued since February. I call my insurance. They confirm that I am covered and was covered at the time of treatment. When I call CareNow, they apologize and say they will submit the claim but the claim is never submitted. I have received four different bills with four different totals all stating I do not have insurance. Are you so short staffed that there is no longer a claims department and even mild allergic reactions need to be seen by the ER? This used to be such a well managed facility. How disappointing.

My first time there, staff was extremely nice and sympathetic to my issues. I was in the room and being seen within 5 minutes of filling out the paper work. Other than being sick, it was awesome

Every visit here is quick, efficient and a pleasant experience. The staff is great and there is never a long wait.

My visit was awesome! Each step was in a timely manner. I absolutely appreciate the tv in the examining room. The Clerk / receptionist was very cordial and kind; the doctor was cordial, kind, thorough, understanding qualified and professional. The facility was clean and vibrant. The nurse was professional, but not really cordial. She did nothing wrong, but her demeanor was non-chalant and uncomfortable.

My visit was koo! I went around 11:00a and they were empty. Which was good cause drug testing sites are always busy. The cute lil lady at the front desk was sweet and very informal. She needs a Raise! Shorty who did my test was koo too she just looked liked she hates her job then again I don’t know happy your supposed to be when your dealing with Urine lol but over all it was good and fast.

Having not had a couple good experiences at the independence location, I had doubts about coming to this one but they were the only Urgent Care open at the time I decided to go. I couldn’t have had a more pleasant experience at doctors office! The receptionist was friendly. The nurse was friendly and the young female doctor was great. I was in and out in under 30 minutes. Seriously, every doctors office should be like this. Usually, from my experience, the receptionists are rude and the wait times are horrendous. This place is the only exception!

I had some stitches that were overdue for removal, but the on-site doctor that day was able to remove them safely. She kindly allowed me to talk to her while she removed my sutures, which kept me preoccupied creating a nice experience for me as a patient. All the staff who also assisted me were considerate and helpful.

The staff (Front Desk Rep, Nurse and Dr) were all very kind and accommodating. I did go later in the day however my visit was so fast and straight forward still! They didn’t just throw meds at me we made a plan.

I went in for a visit due to a broken foot. Immediately every staff member was polite, courteous, personable, concerned and took EXCELLENT care of me! Because I couldn’t walk, they immediately got the wheelchair for me. Daniel Love provided exceptional care. I’m very grateful for how well the entire staff took care of me. You’re The Best!!

After several days of really bad sinus pain and an infection I went into their urgent care. They listened to my problem and put me on appropriate meds. They showed caring and compassion and I’d return again for treatment if needed for this problem or another. I would recommend them to family and friends.

I was in extreme pain from a sinus infection. Could not get a quick appointment with my primary care physician. They suggested urgent care and my medical plan told me that Care Now was in my network. Got an immediate appointment. Was seen by a knowledgeable Nurse Practitioner who immediately diagnosed the problem and prescribed the medication I needed. I don’t know what I would have done if I had to go one more day feeling the pain I was feeling. Thank goodness I went to Care Now!

While a lot better than going to the emergency room, the wait for this was long. I signed in online and was sent a text of when to head to the clinic. I then sat in the waiting room for over 40 minutes. Once taken back and vitals taken I then sat for over 40 minutes again waiting for the doctor/nurse practitioner. In all I was there for over one hour and 40 minutes just to be seen for 10 minutes. Which is frustrating when you don’t feel good.

Service was quick and to the point! Staff was nice and help, very accommodating for my needs. I appreciate this place and their service. I had a killer headache and I didn’t have to ask for the lights to go off on top of finding out that my blood pressure was elevated slightly. Would definitely be using them again without a doubt

Called ahead to make sure they can help me with my eye. Got there and no one was waiting but I had to wait 30 minutes to be seen. Finally got seen and they didn't have all the equipment to help me with my eye like they said in the call. They tried to say they wouldn't treat me and that I should go to er... exactly what I expect from horrible healthcare. Yes I had to pay for this and got nothing for it. Glad I could contribute to your revenue.

I brought my 2 year old son to this Raytown CareNow facility in late 2022. He had cold-like symptoms for several days and we wanted to make sure it wasn't anything more serious. Once we got in to see someone, we were told that it is "probably" RSV, and that we should get Motrin / Robitussin and treat it like a cold. We saw the doctor for maybe 5-8 minutes total, not including waiting. At the time I provided our insurance and paid what I thought was a "co-pay" of about $50. I was pretty surprised to receive a bill later in the mail $175 dollars. My insurance was charged $588 and only paid $370 of that, leaving me the difference. I truly think that this is a bit much considering the service that we received. I have tried calling your Patient Services line, which I was told there is nothing they can do. I could call the office, or a letter. I called the office, but did not hear back from the office manager there after leaving my info. I then mailed a letter to the address the person on the phone gave me in Dec. 2022. I received the same bill 2 months later (no response from my letter). So, I sent another letter to the billing address this time. I did not want to pay without getting some type of answer, because I thought the charge was too high for the work we had done. Today I now have a bill from a collection agency, Medicredit. So, at this point I am paying the bill - and spending the rest of my days making sure no one that I know that would potentially visit one of these clinics will do so. Do not go here. You will be overcharged, and then cast aside if you need to talk to anyone about your bill.

I recommended my son to go here because of the convenience of being home waiting versus waiting in a waiting room. However the process didn't work the same as it did for me a few months ago. The text method did not go through and he was told to come up there at his scheduled 11am time. He waited for 2 hours up there on Friday and couldn't leave. He had been sick for a month with a cough and had previously taken steroids. I had a feeling he had pneumonia but they did not take x-rays or do anything for him other than give him a low dose of steroids. Yesterday, he had to go to the health center urgent care at his college. They took x-rays after listening to him and saw his lower left lung was covered with pneumonia. He's now taking two antibiotics of high dosage as well as steroids and inhaler. I wanted to let you know that your system did not work for scheduling, and that he was not properly treated. If he hadn't gone yesterday again he would have ended up in the hospital.

I don't normally like going to the doctors and dreaded this trip, however, I had such a great experience here. It is a very clean establishment. Checking in was very easy and they got me in quickly. All of the employees were so kind and caring. The day after my visit I got a call from them asking how I was doing and they let me know that if I have any more symptoms or questions I am welcome to come back in or give them a call. They provide fantastic service.

Took my fiancee in. Used the online feature to reserve our spot. Once we got the message we were able to walk right in and be seen. They were able to discover what was wrong with my fiancee and prescribe him some affordable medicine to help him feel better. I highly recommend these guys. Plus the staff is very kind.

Much to my dismay upon entering the building the line to check in was long. I had done an online check-in. The lady at the front desk was very efficient and moved all patients through in a timely manner, but was also very professional and pleasant. I actually did not have to wait very long, and I felt that the nurse practitioner was very attentive and OK with me needing a little bit of extra time to rest in the room following a vaccination. I would absolutely return, and bring my family members.

I have to other been to other care now locations and this one is the best. Everyone from the front desk, the MA and they physician I saw were very nice and kind. They even took the time to call me the next day to make sure I was doing okay. These people have been through alot, especially after COIVD started. Be nice, people.

I was greeted by a friendly receptionist and she was very nice about asking for required documents, I.e. insurance cards, drivers license. She enrolled me in the system and told me to have a seat. Shortly a nurse came and took my vitals and was again very nice. The doctor came and gave me a prescription and everyone was very helpful. It was a pleasant experience and I won’t hesitate to go back.

I went in to this particular urgent care since it was close to me as I needed to have my finger examined and stitched, after I had accidentally cut it at work. The woman working the front desk was having a terrible day and making sure every patient knew it. Her tone was rude with each person that came in, including myself. She made it a point to tell each of us that the wait was an hour to an hour and a half (the wait was actually no longer than 30 minutes). She also proceeded to toss patients clip boards onto her desk, that they had filled out and returned to her. The overall experience was not favorable, other than with the nurses who took my vitals and who gave me my tetanus shot; both were incredibly kind and personable!

  • 5/5 Kel D. 1 year ago on Google
Nurses were very friendly and helpful. The one at the front desk was understanding when I couldn’t stay for about 30 mins before I was even seen and she quickly recognized me when I returned hours later. The one who brought me back was attentive to my problem and kind. The doctor was also kind and understanding when I told her I couldn’t handle the OTC medication amount she recommended, quickly offering me other options. Overall I would rate this place as 4.5 star, but I’ll round up because the staff was so good. My only negative is the website check in is not very clear about how the wait time works. Still very pleased with this place and would recommend.
