Really cute place to have drinks/food with friends or date. We went out on Saturday night, we had booked previously (thank god). It was quite busy and they had reservations right after ours was finished and we were asked to leave the table. Quite popular place. The drinks were nice and 2 for 1 when we went (7 to 9pm). The food was good for the price paid. Toilets very clean and pretty. The only complaint is the time it took us to get our order. You have to order through a qr code and they bring it to your table. It took quite a while to get everything so if you are indecisive, I would recommend you check the menu before coming so you can order straight away and make the most our of your time. I would recommend and we will probably be coming back!

A lovely bar with good food. Went for our work Xmas meal, staff were really helpful and professional. Would definitely recommend for a social night out.

Toby and Nathalie were the most bubbly and friendly staff I’ve ever come across. They helped me choose the vegan options on the menu and made my mum and I both feel welcome. Love the fact that they offer an all Day breakfast until 4pm. The food served was delicious too!

Lee was an amazing host for the bottomless brunch we received this evening! Very attentive and upbeat. Made our anniversary celebrations a positive and exciting experience! Would definitely reccomend and WILL be coming back! This is our 2nd new year period that we’ve been served by Lee and he has gone above and beyond both times. Absolute diamond! Bottomless brunch was great value for money and the dish/meals were substantial and very filling. Highly recommend.

Amazing time had at the bottomless brunch for a birthday celebration. The drinks were constantly flowing, lots of options to choose from and the food was very good. Lee was our server and he was funtastic. A lovely personality to make for an enjoyable time.

This is the best place in Reading to have a food/drinks. The service is excellent! We will come back again for sure.

Last 3 visits to the venue has been poor, first two times we had lager which tasted of vinegar, visited venue tonight and got two cocktails, not even 3/4 full, no passion fruit, served by Caitlin who when we asked for what we paid for just shrugged her shoulders without a care in the world, shame as this venue has seriously dropped within customer service and standards, I recommend visiting the riverside venue as soo much better

I booked an afternoon brunch for me and my mum. We was greeted straight away and shown to our table. Our main server was Toby, he was very efficient and friendly. Great value for money. Would 100% recommend and will be coming back.

I had a lovely evening at Friar Street Slug & Lettuce. Our drinks were really nice and the service was really quick all thanks to Lucy. Aesthetic decor and very lively atmosphere. 100% recommend it here. Thanks to Lucy for making the experience so memorable!

The new slug and lettuce is such a nice vibe. Their boozy brunch is really well priced and good choice of drinks with really speedy service. The drinks are decent price and the staff are always very friendly and kind, Lee is always there it seems and always says hi and bye, which is always a lovely touch!

This place is far better as a Slug than it was as a Yates! The atmosphere is far nicer, great drinks & a good selection. Good music, tasty food and nice vibes ✌️

Staff super friendly, cocktails were super. Food was nice scampi was amazing, peas were nice but stuck to the paper had the chunky chips not so nice not cooked long enough but I was really hungry and the scampi was good. Good value for money as well. Easy to book a table recommend booking as it was really busy. Toilets nice and clean.
