Visited this place for the first time today for my daughter’s birthday. We had an amazing breakfast here. I’ve cross this place so many times but I thought that this is a pub and never realised that they also saw one of the best breakfasts in Reading. The street parking has been closed today and therefore we parked at the Oracle and walked from there. Otherwise there’s plenty of street parking around on the Hozier Street as well as on the main road. The staff is very courteous and the service is very quick. Food is outstandingly delicious! Next time I’m going to try lunch here and I see that they have an amazing bar so I have to try beer as well.

We celebrated my birthday here and were not disappointed. The team were very welcoming and the surroundings inside were fantastic, always something to look at with the decor. Accommodated our daughter who is two. The sharing plate and margaritas were amazing!

I popped in for a coffee before a job interview & was served by Greta... Outstanding quick service with complimentary chocolates & service with a smile... Would definitely recommend again... Visited a few months ago with my son & his girlfriend & lovely friendly service then too...

I would recommend their breakfast 🍳 they have a big range of options, and there are something for everyone vegan and non vegan 💜 this branch have an outdoor seating area This is always my favourite spot for breakfast; now they have this amazing squash eggs feta on sourdough bread and it was recommended by Kasia💖 she is my favourite person in this restaurant as she always remembers me and welcomes me with open heart..

We had a wonderful breakfast at Bill's. Kasia our waitress brought our gorgeous hot chocolate (including a flake). My son loved his full English with extras as he doesnt like beans or mushrooms. My Eggs Benedict was lovely. Bill's is a quirky restaurant with an interesting decor and great menu. The price is reasonable with service included in the bill, which is great as I never have change.

Delicious food, great service, and fabulous atmosphere. There is always a table for us and the staff are always helpful and friendly. I love the linguine particularly, and the Caesar Salad is delicious and refreshing. My partner and I usually get the large calamari to share with the white sauce and find that as a starter it fills us up perfectly.

I love the interior of this place is very beautiful and incredibly unique ✨ the food was alright not Amazing it’s quite standard in my opinion specially the breakfast 🍳 obviously it depend on what you order, but I heard the egg Benedict is nice. I like the verity of healthy options that they have🌱 But I feel the main attraction is the interior. It has a very nice and joyful vibe. Everywhere you look you find something interesting✨ it is one of a kind experience The Wi-Fi is also good and the service is quite fast and the staff are very friendly and accommodating!

As you can tell from my food rating, this place doesn't have the best food. It's plated nicely, and the food looks right. But I had a chance to taste their steak, calamari, fish+potato something, duck spring rolls. Let me break it down for you. The steak was rubbery, and it wasn't an accident because a third of our company party said the same thing. The calamari was fried in old oil and looked dark and tasted greasy. The fish/potato concoction was bland. I believe it was a salmon dish but you'd be hard pressed to find any pink fish in it. It mainly tasted like a watery mashed potato. The duck spring rolls were something interesting, it had an 80's Diet Coke with saccharin aftertaste in the sauce the duck was cooked in. Almost as if the kitchen ran out of sugar and just used whatever artificial sweetener they had thinking nobody would notice the difference. Well, I did. So food - meh. On the other hand, the place is so pretty! They have an upstairs seating area that can easily host 30 hungry diners. The booths downstairs look so gorgeous and out of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. The wait staff was polite, friendly, helpful and prompt. They even climbed up on a bar to take a group photo of us twice. That alone made me give it a 4 star rating. But yeah, fire the chef!

Excellent service, the staff here were amazing. There was a great choice of meals and they could easily accommodate larger parties. There is also a lovely outdoor area, perfect for sunny days.

My boss was so kind to invite us to this place. The interior design is great and you felt like being in someone’s place. The food is very delicious and a big variety is served here. Everyone will find something here and the service is excellent. You can feel that the staff wants to do their very best to make you feel comfortable- want to come again as soon as I can

We had the best time. The food, the service and the atmosphere was amazing. The bread and olives was the perfect start to the evening. They were both moorish. My starter was fantastic too because of the kick it had wit chillie and spring onion . I had the sea bass and because I am allergic to milk they gave me sweet potato fries instead of the potato option which is cooked in milk. The sea bass was beautiful because it was cooked to perfection and the skin was crisp too. The dish blew me away. This place is a must on anyone’s restaurant to eat list.

Their breakfast is amazing. Nice big menu, amazing selection of coffee and smoothies. Kids have a separate menu and is quite cheap tbh. Overall amazing food, polite staff and buzzing atmosphere. Is quite busy during breakfast so booking is recommended, though the staff is quite accommodating and try to fit in every one that comes through the elaborate doors.

Went Saturday 9th October for lunch. It was most enjoyable we had one of the sharing dishes excellent and I had the crumble to die for. It was nice and busy plenty of staff. Right next door to St. Mary's Minster. Well it was once the Vicarage!!

Amazing food and interior. The staff is friendly. It is spacious as well. My food made me sick 🤢 a bit. It is not the cooking or the quality of the ingredients but the recipe, which paradoxically I love it: it looks good, it tastes good. I would not change it. Be mindful that if it happens it’s the blend of mayo with avocado at breakfast.

When I attended this place, it was very crowded. The tables were too close together to the point where it was not comfortable. I was told that there was only one table available, but it was not alluring to have a meal in such close proximity to other people. In that particular section of the restaurant, it was entirely too packed and I have seen few restaurants in which people are just too close together. I am giving this place five stars because the member of staff with whom I interacted was so lovely and friendly.

I celebrated my 40th birthday at Bill's yesterday. Food at Bill's is always good but what made it really special was the staff. Starting from making the booking and how lovely the manager was , then even calling them and how friendly they were over the phone but the best part was the main waitress who looked after us from 1 to 5pm. She was just the best. Nothing was too much to ask, she was smiling, polite and funny. Unfortunately I forgot her name. It was a busy weekend for me. Thank you for making my BIG day memorable and for all the help. You are a star!

We came here to try the £5 bottomless pancakes deal for brunch and were very impressed. The service was very fast and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious too. We would definitely recommend and will come again!

Very popular restaurant in Central Reading. Great food and atmosphere. Service was very quick too. Yummy.

Food is nice and well presented. The atmosphere and decor is quite pleasant also. One criticism is the pancakes did not come with enough syrup though, and incurred extra charge for more. Overall good experience though.

We had an amazing time and they're very accommodating. We were able to get the veg option even though it was after ours. Our servers were amazing and the food was delicious. There pancakes are to die for

I've been twice in last 8 days (brunch & late lunch) and both visits were lovely. All staff were very welcoming, friendly and attentive. And service was fast & efficient. Decor is eclectic but still has a warm & cosy feel. Food was delicious, fresh & flavourful (best poached eggs ever). We also tried many of their yummy cocktails. We were more than happy to pay the gratuity (which was included on the total bill) as the staff gave excellent service and clearly work very hard. Would highly recommend Bill's and will definitely be returning. Many thanks

As outsiders, from various parts of the globe, we didn't imagine we would find somewhere to eat that would suit everyone....THEN WE FOUND BILL'S! The restaurant was very clean, comfortable and pleasant to be in. Our food was ok, and the delivery to the table was on point. As for the waiting staff....what can I say. Just PERFECT. We weren't TOO demanding, but nothing was too much trouble for them and they were friendly and good humoured with us all. An unexpected, true 8/10 experience, bang in the middle of reading Hopefully someone at their Head Office sees this, and at least sends them an acknowledgement of thanks! Would most definitely recommend and visit there again!

Just popped in for a spot of lunch,Kasia warmly welcomed us on arrival, and we were showed to a table by the window.Nothing seemed too much trouble and our order was taken quickly and professionally.Food arrived 1x Bourbon Burger and one Butter Milk Chicken burger and both were cooked to perfection.Thanks to all out front and the kitchen.We will return

I was pleasantly surprised with my coffee & brunch at Bills recently sitting outside. The outdoor space and indoor decor have been revamped in recent times, and it looks great. The coffee was nice and strong, eggs yummy and staff friendly. I’d been put off this chain a number of years ago - perhaps a symptom of its own success in London and swing to independents - but this recent experience has won Bills back for me. I’ll definitely have it on my coffee & brunch radar again now.

Nice but, I ask for mapple syrup in my pancakes, and they confirm that will be maple and not golden syrup, when the dish arrived i checked and that wasn't mapple syrup at all... so never go back to bills for any pancake at all...

Busy Saturday morning. We arrived at 11,hadn't booked but we were able to get a seat. Nice decor but some of the seating is a little too close for me. Friendly and attentive staff. Had the traditional breakfast, not very filling but tasty. Would have preferred back bacon to streaky. More butter to be served with the toast please. Fried eggs over cooked ,however when this was pointed out it was quickly replaced. Looking forward to my next visit

Just walked in for breakfast, both Saturday and Sunday, managed to get a table outside. Very nice poached eggs for breakfast, classical Benedict (w/Wiltshire ham), Royal (w/smoked salmon) and Avocado. "Optional" service fee is added without asking, guess we're moving towards US model.

Place was packed, but staff were still friendly and efficient. Food was delicious and portions are enough to share. Coffee is delicious too. Hard to believe it's a chain restaurant, it doesn't feel like it. Would definitely visit again.

Stopped in for some brunch , and I always ask myself why I don’t come here more ! Poached eggs on avocado sourdough , and a full English ! Fast service and friendly staff . Just what you need for a working brunch .

Okay breakfast 😀 price probably closing in the slightly higher than mid range for restaurant. But all in nice food and quirky location which is situated in a victorian style house for dining which was unique!

First time in Reading branch of Bill's. Normally go to the WestFields branch. Got there just before lunch time rush. Which had queues outside the door. Was told by the seater that dining time was 1.15 or 1.45 mins, can't remember which one. But that suited us fine, as we only popped in on a whim for breakfast. Amazing building, which the interior designer has used to their advantage. On top of the usual Bill's USP of decor. Visually looks like a big portion, but just the right amount to taste everything that makes it a full breakfast. Although pancakes & chicken was sizeble. Willing to change out fried eggs to poached & scrabbled. Servers polite & attentive. Approx £50 for 3 for breakfast.

It was raining in Reading last Saturday afternoon and i needed a place to wait whilst my husband had his Covid jab. I saw a sign outside Bills saying festive cocktail, £2.99. What? £2.99 for a cocktail, that can't be right!? I went in and found a lovely table by a fireplace. The cocktail soon came and it was amazing, beautifully decorated and tasted delicious. This tempted me to look at the food menu. It was approaching 5pm and they were changing menus. I text my husband and asked him to join me when he finished his jab, as we hadn't booked anywhere. SO glad we decided to stay and eat as the food was simply outstanding. We eat out ALOT and most of the time come away feeling dissatisfied or short-changed, but everything about Bills was perfect. We shared the mezze starter and my hubby had the festive burger which he said was the best he's ever had (he's a burger expert). We finished with the festive Xmas cheesecake served in a real plant pot! Everything about our experience was amazing, from the food, to the ambience and the service. So much so that I will be organising a festive group dinner there next year!

Good food but service was a bit unfriendly I would say. The food was excellent with good space inside. The waitress struggled to smile (hence earlier comment) which was a shame as the food was served relatively quickly and was really nice. I will go back and hopefully bigger smiles await! Worth a look though

I went with my friends for brunch during weekend and we had a great experience. The food was very tasty and we had excellent service. Our waiter sofroni was very friendly and polite and he made great recommendations for our drinks order. Drinks were amazing! We are definitely going there again!

Would not recommend. For a £20 meal - dry tasteless steak, uncooked chips with a few pieces of rocket as the salad was what we got. The food was horrible but my partner did not want me to make a fuss there and then so I state it here to warn others should they want to try this place. Tropical juice was fine so maybe their drinks is what the restaurant is known for. Took a long time to take our order and for it to finally arrive and be of poor standard and poor portion sizes for that price was a let down. This was our first and last time here.
