It's a hidden gem of a park in Caversham. We visited for the Halloween fest on a Sunday with our 6 yr old. He had so much fun treasure hunting ghosts. Next to the scenic river view, it has a tea shop as well.

Such an amasingly, beautiful, quiet, outdoor space. Very well kept and just a stones throw from Caversham. There are towering old trees with a view of the river and also a nice bit of history if you look closely. You can get tea etc at the kiosk too. You'll need to park up the hill and to the right by the Warren where there's free parking behind the boat club just next to the church or walk up from the Griffin parking where its not free but more convenient with buggies etc. Thanks for giving this us amazing spot and keeping it looking so lush 🙌

Beautiful well-maintained gardens and historic site with information about the manor house that used to be there. It is a great place for finding some quiet riverside green space and for picnics in the summer.

Very beautiful.. and serene.. I love going there with my son. Provides a very lovely view of Thames with ample sitting area.. only issue, i would say is Parking.. Nothing close by.. you have park either opposite side of River or somewhere else and then walk up to this place.. But a minor issue.. all in all definitely recommend..

Wonderful place to just sit and relax and watch the boats go past along the River Thames. Great place which is so close to the town centre in Reading.

Beautiful gardens in a superb location, right beside the River Thames. It's a great place for a picnic and to watch boats go by, as well as to enjoy the wildlife and to appreciate the lovely, mature trees.

This is a great place to visit in Caversham to relax and learn about the regions history Caversham Court Gardens is located in Caversham, UK directly north across the bridge from Reading on the north side of the River Thames. It is a delightful gem that seamlessly combines history, natural beauty, and tranquility. This riverside oasis offers a serene escape from the bustle of urban life, making it a perfect spot for a leisurely stroll, a picnic, some quiet contemplation, or to learn some history about the area. The gardens are steeped in history, with their origins dating back to the 12th century. The site was once the location of a medieval manor, and remnants of the Tudor-era house still stand, adding an air of historical charm to the surroundings. It is a picturesque setting that provides breathtaking views of the river and the lush greenery on its banks. The well-maintained lawns and flowerbeds are a testament to the care put into preserving this natural haven. Visitors will also appreciate the diverse plantings, including colorful flowers and mature trees, creating a serene atmosphere. The peacefulness of the gardens is enhanced by the soothing sound of the river flowing gently by. There is a small building that serves as a tea shop and is manned by volunteers. With its historical significance, riverside location, and well-tended grounds, Caversham Court Gardens offers a delightful escape for those seeking a peaceful connection with nature and a taste of local history. It's a place where the past and present harmoniously converge in a setting that invites reflection and relaxation.

Such a lovely setting, especially the benches at the back of the park up the steps near the church. Unfortunately but understandably the tea kiosk is closed until further notice.

Small but well kept park on the edge of the Thames just outside Reading. Toilets and small tea room. Plenty of benches to sit and watch the world go by on the river.

Beautiful spot by the river, very kid friendly ... especially for toddlers as they can't fall in the river as there is a small fence so you can let them off the lead! Also there's a nice small cafe for a cupper:)

Great little park by the river. And clean! Note that dogs must stay on the lead though

A very nice, attractive park and garden in Caversham. The park and walking path along the river is on opposite banks. You can feed ducks, or just enjoy the green space or either walk along the river. Looks like the river is busy with canoyeing during the summer. If you going to drive to this park, the closest free Car parking is The Warren (behind the church). You will find plenty of car parking here along the road. I recommend this park and gardens. Thanks.

This is a really nice place. Green lawns, and quite shaded from the sun, but right on the edge of the river. No parking, so park on opposite side and walk across caversham bridge to get here. Does have two toilets, but one has broken handle at moment, is due to be fixed asap. Relaxing spot by river.

Lovely to be at the waters edge and not worry about my little one with the little fence. A lovely little area to chill and relax, lovely vibe.
