A well organised outlet with attractive display and helpful staffs. The shop is very conveniently located within The Broad Street Mall Shopping Centre with easy access.

We visited a few times asking for custom made engagement and wedding rings and requesing a quote. The staff that took our initial request was very friendly and accommodating, not to speak he took a lot of time to listen to us and understand what we wanted. We were very happy with his attitude and approach. However, following this wonderful start, we were rather disappointed to receive an oxorbitantly high quotes without a sufficient break down and explanation of the costs. Most disappointing was that they cannot procure high quality sapphire stones certified by a prestigious international organisation like GIA which was rather surprising considering they’ve been in business for such a long time. We were just told the stones can’t be certified and that was that. The price of a pair of sapphire stones was only £400 (which we thought was rather cheap considering the requirements we had) while the quote for the mount was £2,400. We thought it was rather naive of whoever provided the quote to ask for this price for the mount since we had referred them to the design we wanted developed by another company and the total price of the ring on that site (however with different stones) was only £600. We thought we’d be paying more for high quality stones and it turned out the mount itself would be times more expensive. The quote for the groom’s wedding band was incredibly expensive (£3,500) while all we wanted was a simple 6mm -7 mm band with a circle band in the midle containing black tourmaline (a very inexpensive stone). Overall, we thought there may have been insufficient communication between the local shop and whoever they were communicating with to produce the quotes. Needless to say, we didn’t proceed with the request. Disappointed with this service - we were left with the impression our request was handled irresponsibly.

The sales lady was very helpful and it was really good that I was able to order a clock on line without paying which gave me the opportunity to view before buying. In the end I chose a different clock which was already in the shop.

Not very helpful - the assistant said there was only one colour of aquamarine possible when I enquired about stone replacement. I know that the colour range varies from blue to green to grey. Went elsewhere with a much better attitude to customer care.

Absolutely awful service.. dont answer phones.. took a bracelet in for repair after 5 weeks not back. Had to call head office,was then told it was in store 2 weeks ago. I had been to the shop the same week and they said it wasnt there.. i will never use this shop again.. worst jewellers in Reading..

03/09/2022 I walked into a very welcoming team within the shop and advised me on many ways of buying and collecting disney traditions from F.Hinds shops and websites, which today I brought Abu disney tradition as part of my collection. The staff were very well mannered and very helpful with their information and advice.

Bad attitude staffed made me feel uncomfortable and the and my st. Christopher was a load of rubbish where the silver came off in one day and my daughter's st. Christopher keeps falling off

Very speedy and good quality. Said it could take up to 4 weeks to arrive and it was there in days. Price is perfectly reasonable and about what one would expect from a jewellers, definitely not cheap but not stupidly expensive either. Very friendly service as well.

I used to shop at Hinds many years ago when I was in my teens but recently visited on 1st March this year, initially only to enquire about their valuation day when I spotted a beautiful ring in the window. The staff were very friendly and patient whilst I chose between several items and extremely informative about aftercare products to look after the jewellery . I haven't bought gold jewellery for a long time but recently had a small inheritance which allowed me to consider investing in some and I left having spent over £750 on rings and earrings! Afterwards I had a small issue with an item and again their aftersales service was really great. Overall it was a really enjoyable shopping experience and reminded me of why Hinds used to be my 'go to' shop for jewellery. Their range of products are really unique and lovely quality and the prices are good too! Will definitely shop there again (maybe for gifts for others now..!!) and definitely will recommend their sales and service to my friends and family. Thanks very much.

The staff are very helpful and friendly, the earrings that I purchased are very pretty and well worth the money. I shall definitely visit the store again as it has become one of my favourite jewelers.
