I love the location of this museum (in what looks like a converted church). Gives a brief history of the area (both colonial and indigenous). Lots of child-friendly interactive things to do.

2024: Come along & see Marina DeBris's Beach Couture-A Haute Mess. Using pollution found on beaches, she creates amazing outfits. Showcasing some of the pollution that is discarded by humans. We need to be more aware of the rubbish that is being left on our earth. 2022: Enjoyed a visit to the museum today. Heaps to see & read about the history of the area. Lovely friendly staff.

While the building may be a convert, inside an informative and original display takes the visitors through the life and history of Redcliffe. A special display reaches back into First Nations time and the specific, organised activities that occurred on the peninsula. The beginning and growth of Redcliffe into a tourist town is explained and illustrated; Queensland's own Sorrento Beach. There are also rotating displays.

A hidden gem. We spend around couple of hours here as there were some interactive activities that kids enjoyed. Overall if you just need to get out of house and don't want to spend money and want kids to have a good time indoors out of the heat..this is the place for you. Great outdoor space aswell to kick some ball around and free parking a bonus👍

Excellent friendly and informative staff, happy to assist. Kids activities to keep them engaged whilst you are able to read the displays in more detail - history and development of the local area over the years. Excellent side exhibitions from Australian artists - the one I saw was from Marina Debris, couture clothing made from single use rubbish washed up on Australian beaches - very clever with a serious undertone.

Visited Redcliffe museum today 9/9/23 around 11am and was greeted by a lovely woman (sorry forgot to get her name) who really engaged with our kids and made it exciting to do the scavenger hunt and had great passion for her work. Thanks for making it a great experience for all!

Everyone should come down and learn our local history from this museum. It's great, and full of local memorabilia. Don't forget it's there, well worth it.

What once was a church is now a lovely old museum. Tonight's exhibition The Bowerbird & the Bride was perfect for the venue. A really enjoyable event with beautiful wedding gowns from 1900 onwards. How lucky for the people of Redcliffe to have access to such an excellent venue.

I was surprised at how modern and fun the museum is. A great kids area with a craft station and the interactive exhibits were the highlights for my daughter and I. I’m disappointed I didn’t realize this local gem was here until now!

We visited on Saturday 3rd December with our Saturday Respite Club from Burnie Brae, the ladies are so welcoming and make us feel very welcome they even set up tables + seats for our members to have a tea or a coffee just lovely. The exhibitions are always so interesting and so much knowledge to learn and never overwhelming. The Museum is beautifully kept and spotlessly clean we look forward to visiting again when the next exhibition is on.. 🥰

I took my 4yro son there this morning and we both had so much fun!! The play exhibit at the moment is such a beautiful way to have actual interaction between children without relying on technology! There's a craft section where you can create a boat to add. You can compare recent photos of suburbs on the peninsula to photos from the past. All around it was amazing! Lovely staff entertainment and education for the kids, air-conditioning to get us all out of the heat and did I mention ITS FREE!! 🤯💯💖

I am not for these sort of things, but it was something different from the usual that I do with my client. It was quite a good place and had some interesting things to see. There is currently a great art section with lots of paintings of butterfly's. Great experience and wheel chair support. It is also free and there are some nice items for sale if you want a memory. There is even a neat kids corner.

I asume volunteer staffed. If they are just going to be rude and cranky and dont enjoy it or like people then why do it? Just be retired cranky and rude at home

Great little local museum to learn local history. Local history exhibition has a wonderful collection of items from long gone times and good interactive screens. A viewing room to watch historical videos it's a nice touch. Temporary exhibitions not about the local history are very interesting and a good way to keep people coming to the museum.

A good introduction to the area with a small, concise display on local history and free entry. Displays are thematic rather than chronological. I would have liked more information on the very first European settlement in QLD which was established here in 1824.
