I loved this place! This is a nice place for peaceful walks surrounded by nature. The people is really polite and friendly in the Sundial Bridge shop and coffee as well. I was impressed about how much they are encouraging awareness 'avoiding fires in the forests.' Well done! Taking care of our planet is extremely important.

Visited the city over a weekend. Beautiful view of the Redding sunset! Very clean and calm environment. The electric scooters were all dead or on low battery according to the app, so that was kinda of a bummer. Overall though it’s a cool spot :)

What a lovely place! Bridge made with the glass is so beautiful and gives you a relaxing walk however due to the snowy season I was a little careful. A museum is there after the parking and then bridge taking to the garden. Loved it

We had a really great time at the Sundial Bridge. Walking on the river walk, the Turtle Bay Museum and checking out the bridge which is very cool. The Sacramento River has great trails with wildlife all around. The trail near the bridge includes a beautiful garden with educational stops for everyone. The Turtle Bay Museum and it's grounds were fun for all of us, including my fifteen year old daughter. She interacted with birds in the Parrot House and butterflies, and zipped on the zip-line in the playground. I'm sure her favorite part was the butterflies though, as we spent well over an hour in the butterfly house. In the museum there was a hand on educational room that has really fun activities about prehistoric flying reptiles, Pterosaurs. A whole room displaying replicas of the items discovered in King Tutankhamun. Pretty fascinating. There is a cafe that is currently being remodeled but Mosaic Restaurant was open. If you are unfamiliar with reading it's very hot in the summer months and stays pretty warm until October. I recommend sunblock and if your heat sensitive the indoor part of the museum and Mosaic restaurants during the summer. Otherwise visit early or in the evening I know they open at 9:00 a.m. the bridge and trails are always open but not all of the grounds.

A real, working sundial, one of the world’s largest, the Redding Sundial Bridge is such a beautiful place. Straddling the beautiful Sacramento River, with great views of the mountains. Trails to walk in and a gift shop with restaurant on site too.

Beautiful pedestrian and bicycling bridge by Santiago Calatrava. There's a working sun dial on one end. A beautiful arboretum at one end and the Turtle Bay Exploration Park at the other end that I highly recommend.

Very unique bridge. Free parking. It's right across from the Turtle Bay Museum. I didn't have time to visit the museum but the bridge was worth the stop alone. The views from the bridge are awesome on either side. Then the sundial directly on the opposite side is massive. I looked at the clock and it was 2:18pm. I looked for the shadow and sure enough it was showing between the stone markers 2:15 & 2:30. There is more park to explore across the bridge; I just didn't get a chance to. It was very hot. I would definitely come back and make sure I have time to see everything.

Love this beautiful pedestrian bridge that goes over the Sacramento River. It is in a location that connects trails, art, nature, and community within Redding. It is kept clean and feels safe to explore whether on foot or bike.

1st time here just passing through town on a road trip but weather was nice enough for a stop. Easy parking & walked from the turtle bay river trail. Weekday afternoon & not crowded at all. Beautiful bridge for walking across. There was fishing boats under & looks like they were definitely having good luck catching. Blue skies with gorgeous clouds but overcast enough where I wasn’t able to see the actual sundial time. Very impressive bridge.

We had a great time here! We arrived later in the afternoon, so we got to see the bridge in daylight, the sunset over the river, and then the lights on the bridge, which were bright orchid. We walked back and forth across the bridge a couple of times, and then sat and people watched. We even saw a few deer. This is a must see if you are visiting the Redding area.

My women's hiking group, Sacramento Women's Hiking and Adventures group enjoyed the Bistro for an early dinner by the outdoor heaters after a long road trip and a hike at Burney Falls. Food was delicious and we strolled across the bridge b4 dinner to enjoy the sights b4 it got dark. We had bought tickets to attend the Garden of Lights show. OMG one of the best light shows ever! I was delighted by the lizards, butterfly 🦋 and the dancing lights at the end = SPECTACULAR!!! Totally worth the 3.5 hour drive!

A beautiful place to be with an AMAZING piece of artwork that feels like it has been there since the beginning of time. We were there for the Redding Garden Lights display and it is a great place to bring the entire family for the holidays! Highly recommend 💓

The sundial bridge is an amazing experience. It's the best place to visit the best place for a walk. It's always the perfect temperature. And I would highly recommend going. It's never too busy and the sights are amazing there's always ducks underneath. It's a great family visit. I'm totally going again 😌🥪

Always wanted to stop here but never traveled this way before . On our way to crescent city decided to stop and it was amazing, beautiful place ! We walked around and stretched our legs and took time to enjoy the sites . They have a cute little museum but definitely for the younger children . The sites and the bridge is a must see .

This is a one of a kind bridge that you won't find that many off. The glass floor definitely impressed me. It's definitely worth a pit stop if headed on the I-5.

I love taking evening strolls here, especially during sunset time. In the summer that is really the best time to walk my dog since the pavement can get too hot during the day. But the evening time is beautiful to see the sunsets over the water. The lights at the bridge are beautiful as well. There are many different paths to take that keeps my walking route interesting. There are usually people along these paths, especially on the bridge taking picture or in the area down below the bridge. The area down below next to the river is super cool, and helps to cool you down on hot days. I have encountered snakes on the path when it starts to get dark, so be careful and aware, especially with pets.

Went to the Garden of Lights with my daughter. We had so much fun! Santa let Nick the Reindeer visit. We learned some cool things about reindeer. For example reindeer are caribou. They click when they walk so that they can locate each other when it is dark or in blizzard conditions. Female reindeer/caribou have antlers too. Male reindeer lose their antlers before Christmas. Only the female keep their antlers through Christmas. That is why Santa never gets lost. Females guide the sleigh. The lady that shared all of this reindeer knowledge was awesome. They had a food truck with amazing bratwurst. Best cocoa ever at the beer/wine/cocoa place. They had souvenir kiosks and a little holiday shop on the other side of park, where the lights drip from the trees.

It was a hot day but still worth it to take my friends and family to check out the Sundial Bridge in Redding, CA after a full day of chasing waterfalls. We had no issue finding parking. The walk is easy across the glass tile bridge. Looking out over the water and seeing families fishing and enjoying the Sacramento River was cool. Anything to beat the heat. Overall, it's a cool bridge in an attractive location with the Turtle Bay Museum and the Sheraton Hotel surrounding it.

The bridge is beautiful and passes over a river with lots of ducks and geese. That being said, there are three reasons I give this a so so review: 1. The bridge and everything surrounding it is covered with hundreds of orb weavers. 2. The bridge gets very, very hot even in the evening. 3. Did I mention the spiders!?

Awesome. Simply awesome. It was only a 6 minute detour from our route but it was well worth it. Beautiful views of the river, nice museum and gift shop. And of course the sundial itself was fascinating.

109 outside! Visiting a friend, had no idea that Redding is super hot in the summer. I have heat fatigue anything over 80. Can't miss this since here. Beautiful thick glasses, safe to walk on, wow, wonder of nature, fishing, lake, school fish, clean calm, peace.

It's a great looking bridge in Redding, CA. Crosses the Sacramento river. It is a sundial bridge that gives time based on the sun position throughout the day. River is amazing matches well with the floor of the bride. Water is cold, but it definitely keeps you cool in these hot summer days.

This place is RAD!!!! very interesting to see a giant sundial and to learn some of the history behind it. Plus a big botanical garden to walk through. I recommend stopping for a few and checking out out. And the scenery, trees and river and so much more......

Pretty interesting stop on the way home. It’s been a place my wife has been wanting to see. But now that we have seen the bridge we may want to stop back by to check our the other places like the Turtle Bay Exploration Museum. There was plenty of parking and also changing stations.
