Nice park. Would be better without the homeless

Fun park to visit with friends and family, very spacious with a lot of shade and room for picnics and activities

Very nice park. Kept well. Trails for walking/ bike riding, lots of grass for field activities. I love going here to just read a book. Nice and quiet park. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of the transients. Not the park's fault, that's just Redding all over. So it might not be the best for parents to take their kids. So I would say 5 star park with a 1 star problem.

We spent some time walking around in the park. It's a lovely park and there are quite a few paved walkways which is not very common where I live. You can walk along the Sacramento river. We noticed some children's play structures and picnic tables as well. Definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area.

My parents live near the park, and, it's a short walk down the river trail to get there. Beautiful, clean trail on the Sacramento river that goes right through the park.

There seems to be a mecca for a lot of homeless people, regardless of that has never been broken into. Nice walking trails, be careful quite a few bicyclists

It actually has something for everyone. A well maintained soccer pitch, offroad bike path, climbing ground for little kids, skate park. A great place to bring the whole family.

Pretty good, pretty area and has a cool bike track, plus plenty of picnic tables, however it's not in the greatest part of town and parts are kinda dirty.

This park just needs a disc golf course (south-east corner) and it would be perfect I hit the skatepark before the 2020 upgrade---- Pretty stoked to try the new section, like 2 skateparks in 1 The 90s section is a historical site documenting the evolution of skateboarding

Redding has come a long way with this park. Homeless isn't bad when our kids play here but, the apartments next to the ballpark are pretty bad. Anyway, fields are in decent shape but, can use some improvements.

Nice park right along the Sacramento River. Fun looking skatepark, pool with a slide and a competition pool. There is a parking lot on the west side and some along the street.

I teach an exercise class here for the City of Redding so I am at the park often. I love it here and it's usually a very safe and beautiful walk from Caldwell to the sundial bridge (and back).

I have read a lot of comments about homeless, it will be so nice to provide some coffee to this people and some meals, specifically on this cold 🥶 days 😞 Let's share a little bit of what we have thank God!

Can't say enough about this Park since preschool remembering the train merry-go-round and the smell of hot popcorn in the air.wish that place was still there.had thanksgiving dinner there solo it was good

very pretty and a lot of cool things to do, but I go for a walk, or jog, and or barbeque and picnic, or Ive even seen weddings happening its really very beautiful next to the river.

This is our favorite park there's so many options and possibilities for any sort of outdoor activity. They have a great park. The aquatic center is there. It's just an amazing hub for some outdoor fun

Beautiful... walk by the river. Bring lunch for a picnic at one of the many tables. Visit the art gallery, open Wednesday through Saturday. Enjoy the skateboarding. The kids love the tike bike trail and playground!

Great park! Perfect place to run the energy outta the kids for a bit. Skate park, Bike jumps, playground, aquatic center, and so much more! Lovely Sacramento River Trail to stroll down that passes right through.. This is my kids' favorite park to visit by far!!

Caldwell park is nice in the day. Usually clean. At times can me littered with trash and regularly sees a bunch of homeless individuals. The park is not really safe at night so best to keep activities to the daytime.

Cute park with 2 different playgrounds, a skate park, and there's the aquatic center right in the middle of it. It's right by the river, and has lots of space so it's not usually crowded. Definitely would recommend
