Rooms had a microwave and fridge which we utilized. Spacious and clean. Nice linens. Snack bar hit the spot with a variety of cheap late night burritos, pizza, popcorn, noodles, drinks and candy. With our cargo we were nervous about the area until we saw security walking the perimeter continuously. Loved the staff. Great breakfast with bacon, eggs, biscuits, yogurts, non traditional juices and coffee.

Our original review would have been this hotel is “good enough “ but that was before we saw the cockroaches. Don’t say here. This building is infested and if you choose to because the price is better than the other near by hotels, don’t leave any food out. Management acted like they had no idea but there is reviews from over 3 years ago about it. I should have known when I saw the large cockroaches outside of the building at night but it didn’t hit me until we found one in the bed on our second night! We’ll never stay here again. Date of stay 10/06/2023-10/08/2023.

Do NOT stay here! Apparently, if the check-in process (7/31 @ 6:30 pm) is awful and you ask for a manager or hotel contact information to give feedback to, the clerk threatens to call the police. It was the strangest situation I've ever experienced. I truly don't think she wanted US to give the manager (Ashley) actual feedback about HER terrible behavior, so she called Ashley the manager in the back room on her cell to say I was raising my voice and lord knows what else. She had told me moments before that she didn't have to give us a room. What? Because I had the nerve to be dissatisfied? At that point it was going to be her narcissistic way or the Highway. We'll take this up with Choice hotels (where we've stayed countless times), and Expedia and let them know that the desk agent was truly unstable. We are a very non threatening family of four with two cats and a customer service based business, and this girl was acting a mess and simply didn't want to get a complaint about her -- I suspect she has had a few. When my husband was checking in initially, she called him difficult because we didn't have adjoining rooms as requested. She then kept complaining about guests calling the front desk from inside the hotel. She slammed down the phone repeatedly, sighed heavily, and said "stop ringing!!" over and over. She was sarcastic, annoyed and put out which is the identical treatment we received and I simply wanted to find out how to issue feedback about our experience after booking two rooms. Usually Choice hotels delivers, but in Redding it's apparently the twilight zone. We're now staying across the stress the the very friendly and accommodating Best Western with adjoining rooms. They have been absolutely amazing. Maybe they should hold a seminar on how to treat a customer for you guys.

We needed a place to stay while driving from Southern California to Seattle. The rooms were a good size with a little living space. The beds were comfortable too. We arrived late but there was someone on site to check us in. Very nice and accommodating staff at the desk and in the dining area. Good stay!

A lovely stay! We stopped over on our way from LA to Seattle and this was a lovely inn. The rooms were clean and spacious. The beds and linens were super comfortable. The bath was nice and hot (needed a good soak after such a long drive!) The free breakfast was wonderful! I have allergies so I couldn't have much, but the non-dairy chocolate milk was much appreciated! A great place to stay for travelers. Very impressed, probably stay again on the way home

The room was clean, spacious, and freshly painted with comfortable beds and clean bedding. Front desk was friendly enough and helpful. The woman keeping breakfast stocked was efficient and busy. The breakfast area was spacious. Breakfast gave many hot and cold options. We appreciated our stay at this comfort inn.

Would not reccomend this hotel whatsoever. We arrived in our room pulled out the couch bed to find dirty linen full of crumbs on it. Went out and told the gentleman at the desk he got us new ones didnt even offer to have someone take care of the used stuff. No way they even vaccumed the floor as we found somebody elses medication, a tire pressure gauge and pen springs on the floor in the middle of the room. Pool was full of dirt and filthy, we swam everyday and it didnt look like it was cleaned at all in our 3 day stay. Called and spoke to manager when we left and was told “the maids dont have time to check the pull out beds to see if they where used so they assume if its not pulled out it wasnt used” that was her excuse for the dirty linen. This is disgusting those should get checked and cleaned after EVERY customer. Says they dont have time but when i called at 1pm to see if we could check in early was told they where all done cleaning for the day so thats fine. Maybe take that time to check the beds? Was refunded for 1 night as compensation but will NEVER stay at the hotel again due to their “cleaning policies” or lack thereof.

Booked a room here after our lodge ended up having bugs in our room. This was definitely an upgrade. Rooms were clean, and comfortable. Close to the freeway, but don't expect pretty views. Definitely check out 32 Below for some good ice cream nearby

It was a very nice place to stay and very quiet. The breakfast was a full breakfast. The people at the front desk, both checking in and out, were great. I would stay here again.

The rooms were very clean w/ microwave and small refrigerator. Fluffier towels than some of the hotels I have stayed at. Comfortable bed, no sags, and pillows. Shower was hot w/ good water pressure. Breakfast had cheese omelettes and sausage patties along w/ the usual carbs and yogurt options. Only bad thing about the entire stay.. The coffee was horrible!

Best price/quality hotel in the Redding! Pool with hot water, breakfast , low price and really big rooms! Also dogs friendly 🙏 appreciate very friendly stuff. Just one complain - fan in bathroom #102 need to be fixed. We will return back here at next summer 🤝

I stayed here for a single night with my family. The place is nice, not very luxurious off course. They have decent size room and a small living area. Staff was nice and helped checking in pretty quickly. Although the location is close to freeway entrance, I didn’t like the locality as it is next of something like a junkyard.

I would like to give a shout out in praise to the FrontDesk Clerk named Nicolette !! Her level of service went above and beyond. While moving elderly parents south for the winter, a dog locking us out of the car , AAA needing to unlock us , rains flooding the hwys , pending snow , … lets just say her voice on the other end of the phone was comforting. Confirming they did have a pet friendly room , on the ground floor for ease for Dad with his health. We arrived to find the hotel clean , tucked at the end of a street for lower noice was a welcome sight. She greeted us for an extremely swift check in and later helped with extra beading and some kind conversation expressing understanding for traveling and caring for elderly patients. Her genuine concern made the world feel a little more friendly in a very stressful time . If you get a chance to stay at this property may you return the same level of Nicolettes kindness !!

I will not be returning to this hotel. My car was robbed while staying a single night at this location. Unfortunately, the security cameras were unable to record evidence of the thieves, so I will never see my valuables again. The hotel was mostly helpful when I got the police involved, but the hotel does not provide secure parking for hotel guests. They did refund my room for the night, but that hardly puts a dent into what was stolen. I'm clearly not the only one this has happened to, if you look at other reviews. Thieves clearly prey on cars in this location. Do yourself a favor and be very careful before you stay here.

We stayed for 8 days and 7 nights. Reasonable rates. Free breakfast was good. But, our room only got cleaned once while we were there. We were told "short staffed" and rooms only get cleaned every 3 days. We had to call the front desk for more towels, more toilet paper, and to empty the garage. The indoor heated pool didn't look cleaned. Couldn't see bottom, and the hot tub was broken. I picked this hotel because of the hot tub. That was quite disappointing. The bed was comfy, and we did sleep well, but paper thin walls, and you do hear what's going on next door. Found the air conditioner/heating unit quite close to the bed and was a little noisy. You do get used to it as a white-background noise while you sleep. It was a little tricky to find the right temperature. The rooms are spacious and pretty clean. My wife, though, didn't want to walk on the carpet with her barefeet. It was kind of nasty looking and stained. Lots of families stay there because of the reasonable rates. It was close to amenities, but off the main drag and nothing really in walking distance around. We could see the mountains from the view we had.

Decent for the price! Allow pets for an additional $25-35/night fee. Great green space and doggie bags right outside the stair exit. Nice entry lounge, full breakfast included 6:30-9:30am, great bedding!!, loved using the indoor hot tub, and really appreciated the make-up remover wipes and lotion in the bathroom. The gentleman at the front desk was very nice, professional and helpful. Only reason I didn’t get 5 stars is I felt my bathroom was sub-par and my room smelled musty. Wouldn’t let this sway your decision to stay as I’m sure it was just a one-off issue, but I was a bit disappointed. I was in room 320 on 12/15/22. There were also 3 large outdoor building lights on the fritz, flickering all night, that made sitting out on the patio less than desirable.

Had a great stop over here on our last leg home to Vancouver Canada. Great staff at the front counter both late evening and next morning. Clean, friendly, fastest wifi we've ever had in a hotel. Beds were really comfortable. Shower was great. Lots of hot water and good pressure. The business center was great the next morning. Was able to get on to my email and print our travel docs I needed for our border crossing. Definitely worth staying here on your way through Redding.

Clean, spacious rooms, good breakfast. The low rating is because we've now stayed here yet different times and both times the pool has been "closed for maintenance." One reason we chose it was because we have kids (big rooms), and it's nice to have somewhere for them to get some energy out after a car ride (while the parents relax in the hot tub)... It's been a big bummer! The first time we stayed, it was open after 24 hours, but the second visit was just annoying that it happened again.

Great place to stay if you're visiting or passing through. Rooms are spacious and the they have a variety of items for breakfast: eggs, sausage, cereal, bagels, and toast. They also have elevators so it's easy if you have a lot of luggage. There's also an indoor swimming pool and hot tub.

We enjoyed a nice stay at this place with a quiet clean room. The check-in process was slow, but accurately handled. The check-out process was problematic because all the luggage roll-around-carts were missing very early in the morning. Guests had kept them in their rooms overnight. This significantly denigrated the quality of our stay. We had to phyically carry all of our clothing and chests with lot of trips. This issue needs to be resolved by the organization.

We've been traveling the country and staying at everything from high end hotels to tiny motels. This is actually the very worst place we stayed out of them all. Upon arrival there was basically no parking. No one was at the desk, we had to wait. Even the elevator takes over 5 minutes to arrive and There's only 3 floors. We got to our room and it was a little creepy because the door was propped open with the lock. The floors are extra hard, the "room darkening" curtains not only had holes, but let a ton of light in. The a/c took all night to actually cool down the room. The tv had a menu on screen, but I couldn't select anything on it, and ended up having to page through all the channels looking for what I wanted, very slowly, like 15 seconds per channel. The walls were paper thin- I could hear everything on the next rooms TV. There was a soda machine, and we we both thirsty for a cold water after our long trip.... and it was completely out of water. The worst part of the entire stay was the bed. I've never slept directly on a rocky dry creek bed, but now I've been close. Awful. I crawled out of bed in the morning, looked out the absolutely filthy window- and thanked my lucky stars I never have to come back here.

The room's air conditioner did not work and it was 114 degree day. Room was about 80. No option to change rooms because the entire hotel was booked. The best they could do was a box fan. Staff was pleasant and did their best. Hopefully this room gets fixed for the next family.

Good stuff: Nice staff. Very large room but slight 'old' smell. Ample free parking. A couple of wall sockets available for EV charging. Free hot breakfast. Bad stuff: Breakfast coffee was terrible. Eggs were nice but other hot items were not tasty. Limited seating in breakfast area. Solid 4/5 but could easily be 5/5 with some improvements.

Great rooms, plenty of plugs for devices, and customer service was great. Took off 1 star because there wasn't many breakfast options for vegans except oatmeal. Took off another star for thin walls and the lack of soundproof floors. We stayed on the 2nd floor and the people who stayed above us had kids who liked to run back and forth very late at night. Front desk was great about handling the situation though. I would recommend staying on the 3rd floor if you're not traveling with kids and want a good night's rest.
