Mattresses are in need of replacing. Room was quieter than expected being right next to I-5. The A/C running helped with white noise (wasn't too loud). Breakfast was OK. The eggs and sausage were cafeteria grade but the coffee was great! Pool and spa were closed for the season but the fitness room was available for use.

More of a cheap motel than a hotel. The staff was friendly, the room was livable, but for $240 it was not worth at all. The place has no sense of romance and smells like a weird family member's house who used to smoke but now doesn't shower. $210 for the room $21 for "occupancy tax" $4.20 for "tourism fee" $0.41 for "tourism fee" My wife and I stayed at 2 different BWs along our way to a weekend company picnic in Eugene Oregon. We drove up from North California. We split the ride to be not so tedious on us but the hotels weren't really comfortable places to stay. They felt like cheap motels from 15 years ago but with a price tag that exceeds "cheap." We would only stay at BW again as a last option. It's not worth the price and we often were stuck in line behind other guests who were angry, rude, and had some weird exception that they couldn't just check in and go. This is likely more to do with Best Western than the people, and we didn't enjoy our stay.

I’m traveling for work and the company booked this place and it’s just a HUGE NO from me. Musty smelling hallways and apparently there are a lot of break-ins in the parking lot. We were told not to leave valuables in the car. There’s mold in the bathroom as well as a huge hole in the ceiling filled with dirt. I am incredibly uncomfortable and am hoping I can shut my eyes and just forget I’m here long enough to get some rest. There has to be a better option nearby! Go there instead. Oh also the incidental fee is $100!!!! An actual joke.

I am a platinum member with BW and this was, by far, the worst BW property I've stayed at. Rooms are old/tired and in need of updating. The room with 2 beds didn't even have the same duvet covers. Old, cheap Timex alarm clock didn't even work. The microwave was encrusted with old splatters. Old, cheap tile floor in bathroom with dirty grout. No thermostats in room to control cooling/fan. Hallways had peeling wallpaper and mold underneath. At least the front desk ladies were friendly and apologetic when I pointed out the microwave and clock situation. Won't be staying there again.

Front desk girls were amazing, Emily was a perfect host, that being said the place is a broken down dump. The bathroom has black mold all over the ceiling and wallpaper, packed with so much random furniture we didn't have space for our things, window was unlocked and the ceiling in the hall was covered in plastic where it had caved in and not repaired. We paid $160 and I would have gotten my money back if it wasn't for the girls up front. I would NEVER recommend this place and would NEVER stay again. It also smells. The pictures are quite deceiving, probably from 15 years ago. Oh and the toilet had to be manually reset and the display on the ac was out so you just had to guess what temperature you wanted. Pay the extra to stay at one of the hotels right behind it, it's worth it.

The bathroom has black mold and cracked wallpaper that hasn’t been touched in probably 40 years. The heat doesn’t work properly, and walls paper thin. Breakfast was repulsive and I couldn’t get a good nights sleep here, especially after reading about all the car break ins. This place is absolutely disgusting and not worth a penny. Also didn’t feel comfortable showering in the disgusting mold bathroom so add that to the horrible experience.

Budget hotel but I found my room clean with no patched up damage like you find in cheap hotels, staff was very friendly and helpful. Location is not good if you want restaurants and shopping next door but they are nearby. I would stay here again.

Stopping on our way through town, wanted to be more out of town and looking for large vehicle parking as we have truck and trailer. Pretty disappointed with the status of this hotel. Very dated, carpets look dirty, our room initially looked fair- though dark and outdated furniture with stain on walls and lamp. When I entered bathroom, there were quite a bit of hair on the floor, and a large wad of long hair wrapped around the faucet of the shower. The bedside tables both looked like something had been spilled but not wiped clean. I can actually deal with old and tired as long as it’s clean. This was definitely NOT. No remote in the room. Had to go to desk to get one, which Emily did find one for me. But I must say, “D” in the morning checkout really made all the difference for me. When she asked how the stay was and I explained about the room, she was most apologetic and offered some extra points to accommodate my concerns and said she would be using this example to teach her new housekeepers. Best Western- you need to step up your game and refurbish this tired old hotel. And definitely you need good housekeepers in there, but your staff are the only things redeeming you right now.

Front desk was friendly, room was clean and breakfast was good. The location is in north Redding right off the freeway. If you want to get food, you will have to drive a little bit in either direction. The pool was nice but the hot tub wasn't working. Beds could be more comfortable, they were a little firm for me.

The young woman at the desk was very nice. The person that had made our reservation made it for the wrong night. So they gave us a king suite. I thought that meant it would be nice and that was not the case. The bathroom door knob was barely hanging on the faucet on the sink was in the same shape and when my friend had to make out the pull-out bed the sheets and blankets were filthy funky and we had to get somebody to come and change the bed. It really was not a great experience.

Hotel is a little outdated, but comfortable. The large suite worked great for our family of five. Being right by the highway was a little noisy. However, the hotel staff work and try hard to make your stay pleasant, the breakfast is decent with eggs, sausage, waffles, and breads, with full spread of coffee options with a machine. The price is also affordable.

The front desk was bubbly and accommodating. We had our dog with us and needed a bottom floor (he’s old). She rearranged things to accommodate our stay. Clean comfortable. Right off freeway.

All of the employees were great, no complaints there. But overall this was a substandard Best Western. It took 20 minutes for my shower to get hot. Breakfast wasn't as good as usual. The outdoor area was closed and the only place to sit was in the parking lot. Lots of street noise. It was also priced at the high end for a BW for some unknown reason. I would stay here again but it certainly wouldn't be my first choice.

Of the 2 BWs in Redding this one has bigger rooms better parking and more overall space. It is farther from downtown but easier to get I to and out of. Not in the best section of town but it was more relaxing. Staff very friendly and breakfast was better - still standard but better than the other one. This has a walkable Mexican restaurant the other has a good diner (breakfast was awesome there). Pros and cons but this one was nicer in my opinion

Ants on the side table, cockroaches in the bathroom. Entryway to room was mysteriously sticky. Odd dead bug splotches on the wall. Smoking friendly smell. Rooms are a zero, a negative five. People seemed nice but no amount of positive energy makes up for all the grodiness and actual bugs. We ended up just leaving, waste of $150. Spend the extra couple bucks and go to a real hotel. Workers tried their best fwiw.

Rooms are dirty, hallway is dirty. Ceiling has plastic hanging from it filled with water. Doing construction and painting over my head as I walked into hotel. Hot tub was down and filled halfway with gross water. Pool is not very well maintained, missing tiles and looks like it might have some kind of mold growing on the walls. Not happy that I spent my points to stay at this hotel. I will never stay at this location again.

The front desk, “D”, is amazing. She is so friendly and kind. My son, who is two, couldn’t quit talking about her. The booking site we used messed up our booking and D fixed it for us. The rooms were clean and it looks like they are remodeling the bathrooms. The showers were very nice and the water is HOT with great pressure. The breakfast was hot and the breakfast attendant was great. She kept checking on us and making sure the breakfast was good. Whoever the owner is of this hotel, please recognize the amazing staff you have at this hotel. They are worth their weight in gold. Seeing D’s smile in the morning and having great conversations, it makes our stay amazing. Thank you, D!!

This review is based on the fact that this location calls itself a “plus”, when it did not offer the feel or cleanliness of a best western PLUS. Our road trip had consisted of strategically picking BW Plus’s for the overall cleanliness, amenities like the sauna’s, and facilities. We were disappointed by this BW Plus. We’ve stayed in regular BW’s that were overall better than this Plus… would not recommend or stay again.

The room was filthy. This hotel has not been upgraded in a long time. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls in both the sleeping area and in the restroom. There were holes all over the walls from where they've previously removed items that were attached to the walls but did not patch them up. The door jamb around the door of the bathroom was so dirty; you can tell it hadn't been cleaned for a long time. The carpet was smelly and there were hairs on the bed when I took off the comforter. I did not use any of the pillows or blankets as I know they don't wash them often. The bathroom shower was the worst of it all. The handle that turns on the shower and controls the temperature literally came out of the wall when turned on. The whole unit was not attached. Overall, the room did not smell or look clean. I would not stay here again, and I would not recommend it to anyone else.

Overall a really decent experience. Don't expect a really nice view, but the rooms are pretty decent and accommodating. We were able to connect to Google via the TV to watch movies together; no dvd player, no streaming services; nice living room setup though. Our kitchen nook was clean and fully functional. Beds seemed clean and alright. And if anything, the heaters work too well. My main issue was that the carpet turned our feet and socks black, the surfaces didn't seem clean at all, the bathroom doorknobs really needed a cleaning, and we found debris and remnants from the last guest out in the open (considering influenza A and COVID strains have been so incredibly common lately, this was extra concerning). But I suppose I kind of expect that from a lot of hotels, just a shame considering how much we spent on the room, and the lack of concern for public health tbh, is all. We checked out a couple minutes late and had no issues, to boot. The breakfast bar was pretty cool and nice; the lady taking care of everything was incredibly kind, and on top of everything and especially any need or concern any guest there had. Other guests in the breakfast area were very friendly. There are TVs in the cafe. You get the typical BW breakfast (meat, eggs, waffles, bagels, cereal, yogurt, juices, coffee, apple/banana, muffins) and it all seemed well made and maintained. It was pretty clean in the cafe and the equipment seemed well cared for. Just don't expect a lot of fruit options, or dairy or gluten allergy friendly options.

Everything was fine except the pillows had a weird smell. The pillow cases you could tell were changed and fresh but the pillows themselves you could smell through the cases maybe they need to get new pillows. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels and never had pillows smell weird. Other then that the hotel was fine.

The two ladies at the front desk, "Bree" and "Dee" are amazing!! Super helpful, even when I was triple checking everything with them. Yes they are patient. My company will continue to use this hotel solely because of these two. I often have to call hotels to book rooms with a company credit card. Most hotels don's even close close to how easy these two made the process. I will also use the hotel for personal use when i am in the area. Thanks again ladies.

This is a nice hotel. Easy off and on to I 5. Just finished staying at the Best Western at the Vancouver Mall in Washington and it was great. This one needs a little work to come up to the Vancouver one.
