The Americana Modern Hotel was recently renovated so everything is very nice. (No carpet in the ground floor rooms, which is great for anyone with allergies. Pet owners stay on the opposite side of the hotel so no mixed rooms.) From the bottled water they give you at check-in to the decor, linens, and outdoor gathering space; they've thought of what would make you feel welcome. It's in a cute little town. I walked to a restaurant the night I checked in, and stopped at a great little coffee/pastry shop on way out of town. It was a perfect place to stay before heading north. I definitely felt energized and ready to tackle the snowy passes thanks to a really comforting stay. Only issue: Being sensitive to smells I did share with the management (very nice people) that their cleaning product scent was too strong. They were appreciative and seemed to care. It's a place I'd stay again. I even gave the info to my sister who plans to stay there in a couple months on her way south.

A lovely little hotel for a quick stay! Simple amenities but in the best way. The front desk person was incredibly kind, she pronounced my rather odd name correctly which just added extra points to how great our stay was. My husband and I just stayed 1 night while on a road trip and the Americana was perfect for it! Great location with easy walkable neighborhood for restaurants and drinks. Clean rooms, with minimal and tasteful decor, an excellent tv, shower and king size bed! We will absolutely stay here again if we are passing through!

Front desk staff were incredibly nice. The gentleman that helped check me in was very kind and helpful. He made me feel very welcome. The room was large and comfortable. The bed was comfortable as well. Parking lot is a little tight. But the location is pretty great. Across the street from a Taco Bell and Dutch Bros. I didn't have any pets but it's a pet friendly place so that's nice.

I love this hotel! We always stay here on our trips from the PNW to Southern California. The people are super nice, the room is very clean, the bed is comfortable, the pillows aren't amazing but not bad. The shower is very nice. We can bring our dog (medium size), so it is dog friendly but thankfully it doesn't smell like there have been pets in the room. It's close to restaurants and you can walk to coffee (Theory) about 2 blocks away.

Super happy with my stay. The room is clean with an interesting sense of retro modern. I liked the desk lamp fan. No carpet! It's a good thing as it's easier to keep clean. So if you have a pet, bring a doggy bed. Also slippers are a good call. I love how they love dogs. Check out their lobby and guest pics!

The staff went above and beyond to make sure I had a good stay. The only downfall was the mini refrigerator kept making loud noises all night. I couldn’t unplug it due to food I had inside. Also room service came into my room and said they were told I had left but I had not checked out yet. Otherwise, good experience.

Nice clean, quiet rooms. Conveniently located near dining and coffee. Staff very friendly and helpful. Our dog was very happy with the treats. We will stay again when passing through Redding. We will recommend to friends also

Very clean and modern rooms as well as very friendly staff. It was nice to have a new microwave, coffee maker, fridge and hair dryer. Could have benefited from more electric plugs and a few water bottles in the room. Some security concerns that are normal with being downtown and having external access rooms, but we didn’t have any problems besides observing some homeless people on the street next to the hotel. Overall we were very pleased with the hotel.

Cute hotel! Room is very large. Beds were comfortable. There is a frig and a cute red microwave. Loved the sink! The TV was remarkable. Cute well cared for hotel. Parking was tight for our full size pickup. We didn't want to lose our spot so we just ran across the street and got Taco Bell for dinner. There were some sketchy people hanging around there. All in all a great visit.

Room was specious a clean. Very good location with perfect walkability to everything. Checked in by Tobias. During evening hours talked for a while with Alva and next day was checked out by Heather. They all were awesome. In the past I used to work in luxurious hotels so I know how hard it is to hire good employees. This hotel is only 3* but their customer service is definitely 5*. Good job.

Read the reviews prior to booking and they accurate! The rooms are modern and spacious, we sat outside and enjoyed the lovely courtyard. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Dog treats for the puppies and complimentary bottles of water. Close to excellent food options. Definitely recommend, the best value for your money.

This place is right off Hwy 44 easy to find and easy to get back on. The room was very clean and up to date. I was very happy to find a full size freezer as we are traveling in our car with a cooler. I could refreeze my ice container. We would definitely stay here again. Everyone was so nice.

A true hidden gem! The room was spotless, staff was very welcoming. You can tell the owner loves their business in the way its maintained. The seating area outside was great. I would chose this hotel over a chain anytime, the price is great, close to downtown. This will be my go to hotel while traveling in the area.

Very clean and comfortable. The soaps and shampoo conditioner were not perfumy!! I am very sensitive to fragrances and get migraines - what a relief to not be assaulted with scents. I just stayed in 4 different hotels and motels on my way down the coast and it was the only one that didn't reek of perfume. Thank you!

Cute motel. Old-school style. Not a fan of exterior entrances, but the hotel has been lovingly updated. Room was clean, bed was OK, covers were a little sparse/thin. Window unit worked well and continuous fan setting helped drown out street noise. Not a fan of the concrete floors. Room definitely could use a rug--at least next to, under, or around the beds.

We didn’t stay long, but the staff was so sweet and accommodating. The rooms are adorable and were perfect for what we needed, a good bed for my husband and I our 5 kids to rest on our road trip. Everything was clean, well decorated and fairly priced. There was lots of communication and it felt genuine. Highly recommend!

Amazing staff! Need more amenities, I would invest in a sauna and ice bath instead of gym space. Rooms are clean and new. Price is just under the Sheraton, so most likely won’t be staying here again. Great staff!! Pix was nostalgic, I let front desk know, unfortunately they took the spider down by morning.

They have done a great job transforming this hotel into a very modern experience. The room was modern and comfortable. It was also very clean. They take pride in their property. They have made a welcoming outside patio with tables and chairs. It is surrounded with flowers and plants and covered with a pergola. It is right downtown. The staff was friendly and helpful.

This is a charming little place to stay. It’s an old motor lodge that has been excellently reinvented. The staff is friendly, the rooms are very clean, the beds are comfortable, has a coffee maker and is walking distance to restaurants. Since our room was lacking a closet I think it would be helpful to put some hooks in the bathroom to hang your clothes on. This will be the only place I’ll stay now when passing through Redding.

As a frequent traveler both internationally and domestically, I can honestly state that this hotel is by far one of the nicest and cleanest in it's price range. The front office personnel are friendly, the office offers free snacks, tea, coffee, and water bottles. The rooms offer coffee, a bathroom stocked with shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, etc, and a mini fridge, and microwave. The bedding and carpets are pristine and the air conditioner is great. The hotel is conveniently located near many restaurants and a Dutch Bros is across the street. As a solo female traveler on this trip I felt secure and safe. In addition to the local restaurants, Door Dash delivers.

We stay here whenever we spend the night in Redding. This time I thought it would be fun to add a special request for the following: "my wife sleeps much better when she has a picture of John Travolta next to her bed". I was just joking, but the staff here at the hotel did it! It gave us lots of good laughs and I'm sure the staff had a good chuckle about it too! Well played guys! Well played!

Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and spacious room. They’ve worked hard to make this place charming & welcoming & it shows. The only downside was the train driving by and blowing the horn in the middle of the night but the hotel can’t control that. I strongly encourage visitors to Redding to stay here.

We had a fabulous stay. The hotel was clean. They did everything they could to make our stay comfortable and easy. We were there for two nights looking forward to enjoying some cycling and hiking. We picked up a map in the office and set out. There were cold water bottles in the reception, granola bars, and tea. There was also a list of restaurants within walking distance. We will stay there again next time we are in Redding.

Definitely a return visit in my future!! The staff is beyond friendly, when we needed a little extra assistance they were happy to help! The rooms were clean, beds were comfy and the design was cute, with lots of old fashion touches! We had a double king, and still had plenty of room for activities! Shower was nice, our room did not have a tub! The outdoor patio was delightful, with water misters and lots of places to sit and hang out. The only feed back is they could have better pillows… would certainly recommend! Bonus is they are across the street from a Dutch Bros and with in walking distance of lots of great food choices!

The hotel is located downtown, so you can't completely avoid the homelessness, but this Motel does a good job of keeping them out with.gates. the rooms are updated, modern, and comfortable. Excellent and friendly staff. Let them know of any issue and they are eager to make it right Free water, coffee, and granola bars in the lobby. It is a safe and easy walk to nearby restaurants and coffee shops.

Although our stay was brief, the hotel exceeded our expectations! Front desk attendants are friendly and welcoming. This hotel is pet friendly, and they have Polaroids of all the furry friends that have stayed with them. The room was very clean, I had no concerns whatsoever regarding cleanliness. They also offer coffee from a local coffee roaster in the morning. I highly recommend staying here!

This cute hotel was in a great location. We had plenty of choices of places eat that were walking distance since it was in downtown Redding. The room was large and clean, the beds were comfortable and the towels were fluffy! The service was friendly and welcoming. They did a great job of updating an older hotel. We would stay here again.

Americana was the perfect spot for our stop in Redding! The beds were very comfy and every part of our room was very clean to boot. Speaking of the rooms, they were spacious and had a cool mix of design elements. The whole look of the motel was awesome. I loved the communal outdoor patio area and charming vibe of the place. The design made this motel feel unique from many other stays. Finally, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We got to the motel a little sooner than planned and they gladly accommodated us. The employee at the front desk gave us some great recommendations on stuff to see/do in the area, and we ended up having a great time thanks to them! Overall, I would highly recommend this unique motel. It’s got everything you need and then some, is the perfect price, and is a memorable place to stay.

This place is awesome! We booked last minute and the only rooms available were the suites, but we didn't have any qualms with that. The room had a king and 2 queen beds. We liked that there was a privacy wall between the 2 sets of beds as it made for a more relaxing sleep experience seeing as how both my husband and I snore and don't currently sleep in the same room at home. We both woke up refreshed and it made a huge difference in how our stay went. The room was spacious and very clean. I love that the floors aren't carpet! The beds were extremely comfortable too. The bathroom area was big enough for 2 people to be in there at once which was cool when you're getting ready. The front desk staff was super welcoming and was nice to chat with. The only challenge with our stay was that the people above us were so loud and stomping around until about midnight, but that's to be expected when someone's above you. I don't know if they offered breakfast as we got up and left right away to finish our trip home. Overall I would totally recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in this area.

Tucked alongside a busy street, this nice hotel offers some quite and comfortable rooms and a relaxing patio for morning coffee or evening drinks. Misters keep you cool on the hot summer days. Beds were fine. Room was clean. I appreciate the walk in shower versus a tub. Shower head I hose is so much easier then a fixed head. Rooms have a microwave wave we didn’t use and a refrigerator we did use and we’re thankful for. Walking distance to three breweries as well as many venues. We recommend Final Draft Brewing just a short walk from the Hotel.

It was just a one night stop over. Front desk staff was very polite and friendly. Room was clean and quiet. Bed was comfortable. Free water bottles and snacks after a long drive and before another long drive was really nice. I would not hesitate to stay there again. We don't have pets but it is pet friendly too.

After many days of camping I was ready for a nice hotel. I arrived a bit early, but was allowed to check in early. I instantly liked the staff, & the look of the place. It's so clean! The bedding was crisp, the bathroom was wonderful, including the shower. I absolutely loved everything about this hotel. Including the price! What a great value. Highly recommend.

Totally Impressed. This little hotel has been remodeled significantly. It is very pleasant and updated. From the check in to check out, Great process! The attendants were both, very nice. The room was plain but clean. The road around the hotel was very busy, however, It was quiet in the middle of the buildings. We were in room 215, upstairs. We weren’t disturbed at all. We both slept well. We also appreciate that it felt very secure. They have gates that they put across two entrances/exits so there is one way in and one way out. They have several cameras that are monitored continually. We were pleased we weren’t charged for a breakfast that we did not eat. Coffee was available but we weren’t that impressed. We saw that there were restaurants nearby but we were unable to take advantage of but next time,… Yes. We went to Lumberjack which had a great breakfast. We will be back.

What an adorable hotel. Everything is modern/minimal with a hint of chic. This design choice makes the rooms easy to clean. I was greeted by a friendly desk clerk who made me feel safe and at home. Location was great as there were many amenities nearby. My one suggestion would be to have some sort of outlet or charger available on the desk, as I wasn’t able to charge my laptop while using it. Other than that, 10/10, would stay again!
