I
broke
my
big
toe
in
two
places,
and
I
didn't
go
to
the
hospital
immediately.
It
was
several
weeks
later
that
I
finally
went
to
the
ER
at
Adventist
Health
in
Reedley;
following
a
suggestion
from
my
primary
physician.
It
was
a
Monday,
later
afternoon
when
I
arrived.
The
Emergency
Room
was
quite
busy,
but
I
was
still
seen
in
a
timely
manner.The
triage
nurse
I
spoke
with
initially
was
very
friendly.
I
had
an
ultrasound
on
my
leg
to
check
for
blood
clots,
and
I
also
had
several
X-rays
of
my
foot
and
toes.
It's
too
bad
I
cannot
remember
their
names,
because
the
Ultrasound
technician,
and
the
X-ray
technician,
were
both
pleasant
and
professional,
and
they
did
a
great
job.
Before
being
discharged,
I
required
crutches
and
a
splint
for
my
foot.
There
was
a
wonderful
nurse
on
shift
who
attended
to
splinting
and
wrapping
my
foot,
and
also
taught
me
how
to
walk
on
the
crutches.
Her
name
was
Graciela,
or
Gracie,
and
she
was
the
best
hospital
staff
person
I've
ever
encountered
-
from
Adventist
Health
in
Reedley,
or
from
Adventist
Health
in
Selma,
or
any
hospital
I've
been
to
in
California
for
that
matter.
I
am
grateful
for
the
services
I
received
and
for
all
of
the
staff
at
Adventist
Health.
I
would
say
the
quality
of
care
I
received
was
"Satisfactory."
But
the
very
friendly
triage
nurse,
the
ultrasound
and
X-ray
techs,
kicked
that
up
a
notch
to
"Very
Good."
And
of
course,
Graciela
made
the
quality
of
care
I
received,
"Exceptional."
(Apologies
for
not
remembering
everyone's
name.
The
decision
to
write
a
review
was
somewhat
spontaneous,
and
if
it
had
occured
to
me
while
I
was
at
the
hospital,
I
would've
taken
care
to
note
everyone's
name.)
