First visit here, but definitely won't be our last. We were greeted on entering and shown to our table, in this lovely, inviting and cosy building. We are pleased to say we experienced outstanding food quality and service. We have visited many Vintage Inns but this is in another class altogether. The food was absolutely delicious and presented professionally. The pate/parfait starter was a picture to behold in itself. Best pate starter I've ever had! We were looked after by Alice, who was friendly, helpful and very efficient. She made our whole experience very relaxing and cosy, just what we needed. Really looking forward to a return visit. If you want gorgeous food in lovely surroundings and friendly, professional service, look no further!

The service was prompt, warm and friendly. The building is charmingly rustic and beautifully decorated. The outdoor terrace looks like the perfect place to have a cold drink on a warm day. The food and drinks were tasty and reasonably priced. Overall, charming.

Great little place with a super nice old vibe. We only had fish and chips but it was very good and not greasy. Would love to go again and try the pies. Building is very unique

Visited this lovely pub near Gatwick when staying overnight at Holiday Inn prior to early morning flight. It's around a 10 min walk then through a churchyard which adds to its ye olde character. Nice atmosphere and surroundings, excellent staff and service. Food was delicious. Really enjoyable. Recommended.

Really nice pub, with lovely food and great service. The Sunday trio I had was lovely and the vegetables were cooked to perfection! And I spoilt myself with a pink gin and tonic too! Henry was our server and he was very attentive, friendly, helpful personable and swift with the service - I would definately come here again!

Absolutely wonderful Christmas Day meal, as always exceptional service by all, a real gem of a pub, we couldn’t be happier to have spent our day here. Thank you Wayne and team as always you never fail to deliver first class service.

We had an early morning flight out of Gatwick and happened upon this place randomly. We are so glad we did. The food was probably the best meal I ate in the UK in my entire trip. We had the trio on a Sunday. Gok was a great host, helpful, and insightful! Felt right at home. Go here, you will not regret it. (We spent quite a lot because we ordered a lot. It can be budget friendly too!)

Just needed a place to eat while we stayed the night close to gatwick airport, and this little gem was walking distance from the hotel. The setting was awesome, food choices were great, and tasted even better. Even for my 2 little girls, they enjoyed it too. This could be a new yearly route for our travels, so we'll be looking forward to our next visit here! Cheers.

Visited today (bank holiday Monday) for dinner, as we are staying nearby in preparation for travelling from Gatwick tomorrow. We didn’t have a booking so had to wait about 30 minutes, which was fine as we were able to sit outside and enjoy a drink as the weather was nice. Staff were friendly, service was a little slow at times but understandable as it was quite busy. Food was tasty, the portion of crumble was HUGE but I found the fruit filling a little bit sour (however my partner was happy to help finish it!) Would happily visit again next time we are around this area.

A fantastic wee gem near Gatwick Central Travelodge. Food was amazing. Very friendly service and a beautiful setting. The building dates back to 1450 with an abundance of history.

Departure from Gatwick (or any airport you choose to mention) can be a stressful event, but just ten minutes down the road is the "Olde" Six Bells, and yes it's old, given you need to duck through the doors. The staff are pleasant, the food is outstanding with a ranged menu and it takes some of the angst out of a busy schedule. You can book on their website in advance and they are open all day, also dog friendly. Recommended.

Amazing Birthday dinner for my Mother in Law this evening. I had the most gorgeous steak and merlot pie and everyone else really enjoyed what they had too. Really impressed and can't believe we haven't been to you before when we live just down the road! We hope to be back next weekend when we have family visiting. See you again soon! :)

A beautiful wood beamed pub with rustic charm. The food was absolutely delicious, be sure to deviate from your typical selections and experience superb unique flavours. I personally always classify the quality of a pub by the construction of their pies. Ye Olde Six Bells does not disappoint, they use a proper shortcrust. Their desserts were excellent. We had the joy of having the brownie and cream brûlée. We will be back.

Firstly, tea is served in a pot. This is important to any tea drinker. We went for a small family get together so we booked ahead and were put in a lovely little corner of the pub which was very private. It felt like we were at one of our houses, all sat around the table catching up. Most of us had a roast as it was a Sunday but I opted for the lemon and thyme king prawn kebabs with mango slaw and chips. It was very nice, prawns were perfectly cooked, the slaw was so refreshing and I liked that although most of the dish was quite healthy, you still got a serving of nice chunky chips. Everyone else was very happy with their roasts, all came with yorkies and plenty of meat. The staff were friendly, helpful and understanding that we were family catching up so it took us a while to actually order, you know how it is.

Really good food, menu, staff and a lovely atmosphere in a historic pub. It's olde England and picture postcard perfect from the outside. Would definitely recommend it and visit again in the future. Thank you.

Fantastic food in an amazing pub. Who would believe that such a place could be found a stones throw from Gatwick Airport! This will be our new regular favourite spot every time we pass through the area

Great pub. Lots of character. Beer garden, heated and covered area. Riverside walks. Next door to a historical church. Lots of parking. Don't be put off by location near to airport.
