Presentation- amazing Service- awesome Knuckle- worst I have ever had Seasoning- needs help So, I really wanted to like this place, and I wanted so badly to find an acceptable pork knuckle in this area. The knuckle was beautiful, but that is it. The skin appeared to be nice an crispy, but it turns out that it was hard as a rock and unchewable. There was also some hair left in it 😬. The meat inside was extremely tough—it should have been melt in your mouth. The rest of the food was okay, but was seriously lacking in salt and flavor generally. Our server was great and very hospitable. This place has potential, but the food must speak for itself.

Iam here for the special german food called HAXE :D ..it was good but can be better as i had really good one in Hochs (near to frankfurt)..Strudel was really really MUST TRY ..so love it ! Hospitality is ok !

Good place to have lunch, dinner with friends, family, get together, host food with colleagues, etc. The interiors are warm and cozy. Old and conventional French style architecture and designing. Well preserved and maintained. Food is just too amazing and excellently served. Prices are a bit over rated but worth for once in a while visit. Good place for dinner dates and catch up with friends. There are many tables and chairs hence there wouldn't be much crowd and chaos.

The food is just amazing! Lovely schnitzel with French fries, friendly and good service. Awesome cocktails and beers to drink at the terrace that's on a nice open area. If you're ever in the neighborhood and wan't some great German food, go here!

Food was good, service was great and very friendly waiters. Atmosphere was not for us. İt is too loud. İ think it might be bacause of the season also. Another point is be careful don't sit close to the door especially during winter because once the door is opened you loose all the body temperature and try to gain it until next time the door is being opened and starting over, you are freezing again.

Place for locals. Quite loud restaurant, but good food and beer. Lot of tables. Service was rude and sour. As if non-locals were discriminated.

Great place, great beer (get the Kräußen), nice beer garden outside, good food and always a free spot. If you come with a large group it is also great if you have a reservation. It is a bit pricey but it is worth it.

At the "Ludwigsplatz" in the centre of Karlsruhe with a very nice outdoor and indoor ambiente. Outdoor seating is so beautifully decorated with oleander plants, many parasols and the very decent seating (important for lower-back patients). We simply had a beer as we were on tour with our bikes but having looked at the menu we will definitely be back. We had a very friendly and kind waitress who's a student and who naturally made us feel very welcome! 👍 Thanks!

Great German food at a reasonable price. Often crowded, so better to reserve beforehand. The pork knuckle is a hidden gem: relatively cheap with gigantic size portion

I had my first schnitzel here and OMG am I in love! I had the veal version and LOVED IT!

The chicken in the salad has absolutely no taste. We wanted to order crispy Schweinshaxe, but it is sold out. They recommend Ofenfrischer Schweinekrustenbraten, saying that it's the same thing just smaller. But it is not the same at all!!! Very disappointed

It's a nice looking quiet place. Rustical and calm. Great beer. But the food is in my opinion a bit expensive for the portion size that you get.

Great place and food. Service ok, altough they looked kind of rushy sometimes with the orders. The place could be crowded most of the times, is better to have a reservation. Beside of that, very well recommended.

I had to try the pig knuckle. Do it...you will not be disappointed (assuming you like roast pork). The crispy shell adds wonderful flavor to this excellent and, at least from this Texan's perspective, unique dish. Unless you have a big appetite or want leftovers, plan to share it. It's more food than it looks like, and it's worth trying some smaller dishes to start with.

Truly unacceptable: We had a reservation for 9 people and when we arrived, there was no room for us. A nice waiter arranges us tables in a hurry so that we can settle down. We waited half an hour to finally be able to order and another half to get our dishes to arrive. But the worst is to come: only 4 persons on 9 got their plates. Then two others 15 min after, then two others 10 min after. One of my friends remained without his dish for more than an hour. A waiter told us that he had been forgotten. We had to complain directly to the kitchen to finally get his dish. And that's not all: half of my dish was missing. I had to argue with the waiter for more than an hour to finally get the manager to move. Instead of treating your customers as liars, please get your staff to learn how to serve everyone at the same time and with EVERYTHING they ordered. This is totally unprofessional and commercially disastrous. We thought at least the food could save the rest: too bad, it was way too salty, really not tasty. Never again

It's a good place to come with your friends or family. It's not too expensive. On weekend night are some special promotions like coctails or similar stuff.

Close to the city centre, nice classy restaurant, wide variety of germany dishes. The staff was polite and fast.

Very nice. Simple food done extremely well. Great range of beers. Friendly and helpful staff who were very forgiving of our terribly (non-existant) German language ability
