Casale's is a prime example of a family run restaurant that guards it's core values. The interior is old but very clean. The menu is small. The staff is friendly and entertaining. The interior is almost the history of Reno. On the walls and ceiling are newspaper clippings, dollar bills, sharpie signatures and other relics of the family history. The bar reminds me of an old speakeasy/gangster scene out of a 1940s film. While the tables and chairs are not the best, they are functional and fit the decor. The menu is quite small. Spaghetti, ravioli, lasagna and pizza are the prime entres. There isn't any white sauce dishes. I found the red sauce on the spaghetti very tasty and not overly sweet. The pizza we ordered had plentiful toppings and a crispy crust. We ate at the bar and watched/listened to the interactions of patrons with the staff. Everything was friendly and sometimes entertaining. One server was almost comedic in her interactions. The bartender was almost too kind and helpful. An A+ for the service staff.

It’s a great restaurant with a good atmosphere. The lasagna I got was delicious, but the wait was a bit long to get our food. It was worth it.

Sooo, Recommended by a friend. My first time here, mention it like I did and maybe get a free shot of Jaeger and ask why. You might get a story. White sauce is good but not needed or available here. If you want pasta and ravioli, then there are several options. Wait patiently for your food because it is worth the wait. Allegedly, buy 2 shots of Jaegermeister and you can sign the wall. I ate at the bar so the story and the wall signing info came from there.

Laid back Italian restaurant with great service that goes out of their way to treat you like family. We went in at an early dinner and ordered the half lasagna and spaghetti wirh meatballs ball's and was great! The cook even made sure we didn't run out of garlic bread, which only cost an additional dollar.

now i completely regret that I've been living in Reno for almost 30 years, and this was our first time dining in (date night). we've had their lasagna before (which was amazing!!!!) but finally had the chance to come in! I ordered a blood orange spritzer(?) which was delicious! and the beer on tap was extra cold! Lasagna 10/10!!! Meat Raviolis with Meatballs 10/10!!! 😋😋

Detroit themed spot! Meatballs. No white sauce. Generations have graced this place. We had lasagne and ravioli, with garlic bread. Chris and Natalia took good care of us. It's a small spot, but the bar is perfect for a quick drop in. Watch out for 6/4/24. The tab was super reasonable ($78/2folks). And finally, they serve really good drinks.

Casale's is a quaint authentic Italian family run restaurant since 1937 with a 7 stool bar and six Cafe tables. Plan on getting there early and spending a minimum of two - three hours for dinner as they especially make your individual dinner as ordered. They may have 16 lasagna dinners in the oven at one time but I'm telling you it is well worth the wait. We showed up at 7:40 pm on a Saturday night hoping to get served when the Yelp sight said the closed at 8:00. They were full except for two bar stools which we gladly took. We spent the next two hours enjoying the family working proudly at their establishment. They lost the Famous Great grandmother/founder recently along with her son two weeks later of whom died of Covid 19. The bar was very entertaining and the wait was well worth it. The side of garlic bread was served to hold you over but we enjoyed it so much that we couldn't save any for dinner and ordered another to come with dinner. The bread was so good it just about melted in your mouth! Then the Lasagna was served. Oh my, it was the best Lasagna I have ever had. So rich was the sauce with wonderful ricotta cheese served each in a single serve dish bubbling hot! Mmmmm, mmmm, mmmm. Can't say enough about this proud family and what they have done to keep their family tradition alive. One thing you need to know, cash only. ATM on site. Very clean. Wonderful ambiance music plays in the background from Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Van Morrison, Etc. Our bill after this fine evening with 3 beers was only $54.00! We were pleasantly surprised! This will be a regular place for us from now on for a very special dinning experience.

I had to stop by here for an assignment in my photography class, and the staff were unbelievably friendly. They went above and beyond to help me out and even let me take pictures in the kitchen, and it smelled delightful back there. The entire restaurant was so cozy and warm and welcoming. There was so much to see, but not in an overwhelming way. Absolutely fantastic, can't recommend it enough.

This food was Delicious! As you can see on the sign this is the oldest family restaurant in Nevada! By itself that is pretty cool but it was topped off with Fantastic food! Great sauce for the Spaghetti, great Beef Raviolis and Wonderful Garlic Cheese bread.

We love this place. So much history. The best lasagna. Kellums are divine. I also inhale their pizza with garlic. You know it’s a great restaurant when the garlicky marinara smell from the parking lot pulls you right in. Don’t try to walk in during dinner hours, make a reservation, as the seating is limited.

Casale's Halfway Club is fantastic! If you don't want to sit in the cozy environment of a 100+ yr old restaurant, then order takeout. But the location oozes the family's love, time & attention to making authentic & fantastic tasting Italian food! Daily made pasts, marinara, meatballs, daily made minestrone soup & made fresh to each order, Lasagna! (Worth the extra time for baking.) You cannot go wrong eating here! And it is extremely reasonably priced too! I would give it 10 stars if I could! Fabulous!

What an amazing experience! We had a large group and Casale's was very accommodating. Yeah, there is a wait, but good things come to those that wait, right? I have to say the most memorable aspect was the service. It's a style of service not often seen in modern restaurants. We instantly felt at ease walking in and by the end we felt like we became part of the family. Our most memorable experience in Reno. Highly recommend!

My brother took me here and I have to say, I was very, very impressed with this place. The food and service was far the best I have ever had. The homemade food was so awesome, and I love how the owners interacted with everyone. If you want good homemade cooking, great service, I highly recommend this place. Thank you, yall, for taking the time to introduce yourselves and for the great service. I will be recommending you to everyone.

If you’re looking for an authentic/family owned Italian restaurant this is your place. The bartender Chris cares about his customers and makes for such a special experience every time. Cannot recommend this Reno must-go-to enough! ❤️❤️❤️

First time here. Absolutely loved the food, drinks and service. The home made raviolis was the best I’ve ever tasted. We celebrated my son’s birthday and the next time we are in the area, we will return.

If you love authentic Italian food then this is the place to go! Extremely friendly and the food is absolutely delicious. Family owned and you see it, hear it, feel it and taste it. Do not miss the opportunity to try Casale’s Halfway Club.

This is an amazing gem. Dive bar-ish atmosphere but with an excellent Manhattan cocktail ($9). Super homey Italian food with actual red and white checked table clothes. Only 8-9 tables and 8-9 seats at the bar, so make a reservation. The pizza is small - 9 inches with a firm, thin curst. It was covered almost completely with pepperoni, which I loved. The lasagna is not deep, many multi-layered lasagna. It’s is maybe 2-4 layers, but delicious. We can’t wait to come back with friends and family. It is affordable, genuine and delicious.

In Reno heading back home to Huntsville, AL, and stopped in for lunch; glad we did. We had Minnestrone soup (loaded w/lots of fresh veggies, in a delicious broth), 1/2 & 1/2 spaghetti w/meatballs & beef ravioli (made from scratch, like the sauce). Also had Ricotta cheese filled ravioli and some very good bread. This place knows what they're doing and has been doing it right for over 80 plus years. We plan to be back in Reno in 2024 and we'll definitely be dining here. Thank you for spoiling us w/your wonderful Italian food.

Oh my gosh, let me tell you about this restaurant, I went with a bunch of ladies last week from our valley ladies group, and what an awesome place. This restaurant started in 1937 and is the oldest restaurant in Nevada. The Owner/Bartender was nice to look at too, lol. We ordered some bread with marinara sauce to start out our afternoon, and then I ordered a half order of raviolis with meatball and my friend got the meatball sandwich. Another one got the raviolis and another two girls ordered a pizza. The food was so good, and I have been craving it ever since, and this afternoon with my son, Lens we are going to go there for an early dinner. Absolutely fantastic service. The place is so cozy with all this memorabilia all over the walls. We all got salads first and when one asked, if there was blue cheese for a salad, the guy says nope we only have vinaigrette, could because that’s what mama did, and that’s how the house stays because of mama, we loved that. What a wonderful tradition. I cannot wait to go there this afternoon, and have the best Italian food I’ve ever had, and I’ve even been to Italy. If you have not gone to eat here, I recommend it, I have never heard of this place, and I have been in Nevada for 20 years. AMAZING GEM!!

This family owned place serves the best Italian food in Reno and it has since 1937. Going there is a wonderful experience every time. I'm not Italian but it's just like going home everytime you go. I've been going for years and will continue to do so.

Stop in early because it is popular and for good reason. Not a fancy restaurant a bar and small eating areas. Everything is homemade and takes time so don't be in a hurry. But boy the food is worth it!!! Awesome lasagna, home minestrone soup. Cash only! Enjoy!

One of the original pizza joints in Reno... the pizza was off the charts.... one of the best I have ever had..they also make fresh ravioli every day... so delicious and the pecan punch is worth the visit by itself.. can't wait to go back and try their other offerings!!

I ordered lasagna, my son ordered spaghetti and meatballs. They brought me a small bowl covered in burnt cheese. The sauce was unremarkable. For the price, I've had better quality frozen lasagna from the grocery store. My son wasn't a fan of his meal either. I really don't like having to pay cash only for a meal and their ATM charges $2.50 a transaction. The parking isn't great for how old the place is and the food took forever for poor quality food. On the bright side, the staff was somewhat attentive and people at the bar seemed generally happy.
