The service continues to keep pace with quality of their food offerings. The wait staff have a sense of joy and real connection to the outcome of your dining experience. A locals favorite, there is a nice hum of contentment in the establishment that many restaurants would love to be able to bottle, serve and duplicate. Better than average staple dishes and a great experience every time.

Good serving sizes. The queso was just melted cheddar and seasoning. :/ the Carnitas burrito I had was very good.! The chicken chimichanga was alright. Salsa was liquidy but tasted fine. I mixed the salsa with the pico for a thicker consistency.

Great food, great service and as always great atmosphere! We always enjoy our time here and it's our favorite Mexican restaurant! I really enjoyed my cheese enchilada, chicken burrito and the side of rice and cheesy refried beans. Also had to have a strawberry margarita to round off a great meal!

Great spot in a real nice place where immediately greeted and we’re given excellent service. I had the three item combo, which was a a pork tamale, a Chile, Riano, and Chile Colorado serve with melted cheese and rice and beans. You’re running with meal. Chips and salsa try to habanero salsa it’s really good. She had the real fish tacos. It was very good. To drink I had a piña colada and she had the margarita very strong for a surprise that I was wrong but delicious!

A late Saturday lunch was enjoyable at this lively spot. Fresh chips and salsa along with ice water were brought to the table upon being seated. The service was friendly and efficient, although our server forgot to ask how our food was. My companion was able to build his own burrito and it was to his liking. I ordered the veggie fajita burrito which was smothered in their tasty red chili sauce. Beans and rice on the side cost extra and were flavorless. My meal was heavy on the grilled onions and light on the other vegetables. Impressive presentation, but the food could have been better.

I ordered food over the phone and my granddaughter picked it up. I gave my phone number and credit card number. When she picked it up she was told my card was declined. There is plenty of money in my account. The person who took my order must have written down a wrong number. She could have called me for verification. She was very rude to my granddaughter, who was mortified.

Always enjoy our visits to Los Compadres. Good selection and good food. Excellent friendly staff. Great margaritas. Try deep fried ice cream for desert.

The food was horrible! Ordered fajitas and instead of a marinated grilled skirt steak it was what looked like pan cooked round steak whose primary seasoning was chili powder. The hot sauce tasted like it was primarily seasoned with chili powder. To top the horrible food off was even worse service. Couldn't even get a refill on my Coke.

We stopped going to the foothill restaurant several months ago due to the service. Two nights ago we decided to try again & were delighted by the experience. There is a whole new front of house staff who worked together to give us great service & an enjoyable meal. We'll be back.

I live in Las Vegas but when I visit my friends in RENO, we always make it a point to have dinner at LOS COMPADRES! I honestly have never had a bad meal there…. Love their enchiladas, tacos , fajitas & refried beans! The food is always served HOT & delicious!! The hostesses & servers are very friendly & prices are reasonable. The restaurant is always packed so reservations for dinner is a good idea!

My husband and I discovered this gem while visiting the jewelry store next door. It was a very long day running errands and we were starving. We were seated right away and our server, Horacio was absolutely amazing. Very friendly, funny, and fast! Everybody right down to the bartenders were awesome. The food was delicious. I was super happy to discover they had Chilli Colorado on the menu. It was tender and flavorful. My husband's chimichanga was also very good. They accidentally brought him a burrito but made it right very fast. We can't wait to go back to try more items on the menu.

Great fish tacos! Really good flavor and texture.

Ordered pitcher of mango margarita and was brought frozen. Sent back. The pitcher was brought back with ice added to make loom like on the rocks. We are not stupid! Drank anyway as to not cause a scene. Food was OK….. we will see how the desert turns out.

I got enchilada with crunchy tacos. Their michelada has been my favorite for a long time!

The bad: They place the chips and salsa on the tables ahead of time, so the chips were a bit stale/soft. There were flies dive bombing us through our meal (see photo evidence). We asked our waiter them to add spinach to our enchiladas and were told they don't do that. The Chile Relleno is less a breaded Chile and more a cheese omlet with a baby chile hidden inside. And if you want any crema you have to pay $1 extra. The Good: generous portions, friendly servers, great cheese.

I don't like to revert to leaving reviews like this but I'm rarely in your part of town as much as I used to be. This is the second time, in a row, that I've been let down by what's ordered. The first was a little over a month ago when I ordered the cheese dip with FRESH jalapeños, as shown on the menu, and pickled ones were in the cheese dip. When I placed my order tonight, I specifically said to the hostess, "no sour cream whatsoever." I don't like it even if it's in a side package. When the order arrived, I didn't open it because I had entrusted the hostess, 'Night H.', to make sure my order was placed the way I had ordered. As you can see from the enclosed photos, I still tipped close to $3 without having seen anything. I left the event I was at, trivia night next door at Beer NV, and came home for a snack. Low and behold, there's sour cream. I don't have expectations when ordering from places as that creates disappointment when orders aren't met but I can safely say that tonight, I was incredibly disappointed when opening the container with the guacamole. Call me a 'male Karen' or a 'Chad' but when an order is placed, with specific instruction and it's not met, this is not on me. Your food is consistently delicious which explains three stars but I will not be spending my money with you or wearing the zip-up New Era hoodie I purchased from you a year and a half ago, for quite some time. Thanks for making it this far into the review.

IMy husband accidentally left his wallet on the table after dinner. It had cash, credit cards and IDs We were the last people out of the restaurant before closing. He tried to go back to get it but they had closed. He went first thing in the morning to get it when they opened. The staff said they did not see it and to come back later that day and talk to the server who waited on us. We went back that night and everyday for 4 days in row. We spoke with the owner who was rude and said I can not help you. What a group of very dishonest people. This restaurant has thief’s working for them and the owner could care less. Do not give your business to people who steal.

Very mediocre middle of the road Texmex. Fine but not that flavorful. The free salsa is pretty good.

Place is always great I love coming here and the fact that they bring the food next door to you at BeerNV is a plus!

Yummy.... Ok so rice and beans amazing, chili relleno awesome, cheese and onion enchilada fantastic. My son had three fried tacos shredded beef... The rest is history ... Wait no customer service and attention was amazing as well. Thumbs up. This restaurant does it right 👍👍👍👍👍

Came here to have a quick dinner by myself while I'm out working, had a very pleasant experience. I was born and raised in the San Joaquin Valley in California and just moved to Reno very recently, so I can be a bit of a harsh critic of Mexican food, so I'm so glad to have found some good Mexican food that really hits close to home. The service was amazing, my food came to my table surprisingly quick. The camerones rancheros was cooked perfectly, the margarita was very good though lacked a bit of strength. The tortilla chips were thin and crispy. My only real complaint is the salsa was very mild, I wished it had more kick to it. I definitely plan on coming back sometime and exploring more of the menu, maybe next time I'll ask them to turn up the heat a little.

The service is excellent and the staff is very professional. The food isn't bad but could use some more flavor. I will give it another shot and update this after.

I love this place. The servers are so nice and the margaritas are on point! I have a near and dear restaurant in California that I frequent regularly so it’s nice having a place that reminds me of home. Also- the music will make your shoulders want to dance.

We had an early dinner there on May 4, 2022. We sat at the bar and had the nicest young man as our bartender. He was very much a gentleman. Checked on us numerous times. We split a great fajita! Prices were so reasonable. We tipped him very well! He even poured me a new ice water to go!! We travel to your restaurant numerous times from Carson City!!
