I was asked at the door if I wanted to dine in to which I answered yes. The lady who asked proceeded to just turn around and diddle on her phone then go to cutting cantaloupe. I waited 5 minutes before I decided not to eat in the very overly bleached atmosphere.

Denny’s cones through again, when there is nowhere else! Somehow it’s hard to find a place for dinner after 9 on a Monday night… Great service and appealing meals.

It's Denny's! They've got the creamiest cocoa around, friendly employees and make the juiciest, biggest burgers for a low cost- get food to-go or dine-in! I came here before a road trip to get some pep in my step and some burger in my belly and was delighted to find a warm, welcoming atmosphere and a big cozy cup of cocoa with the creamiest whip on top- thank you Denny's for doing your thing, I've had many a late night study sesh at a different Denny's and I'm submitting this review as a humble thank you for getting me through. Edit: staff here is AMAZING - to make sure that the staff gets paid and tipped Please order in person or through their website. Door dash is a fxcking ripoff for the employees. Even when they have 20 tickets and only one cook in the kitchen this staff is friendly, professional, and gave me a free drink while I waited for my food :) these Denny's pals go above and beyond to be personable, calm, and put love into everything they do. I appreciate you

There’s a brunette waitress in this place that needs help. The woman hates her job and makes customers hate the place too. If you don’t want to deal with an awful waitress then go to the other Dennys location in Sparks, their service is great, don’t waste your time here. With a waitress like that you can’t trust she wouldn’t mess with your food.

The place was pretty good today. It was dead in there. There wasn’t very many people. The server was A-OK. She was all right. She was quick on the coffee. Two senior meals two coffees with a tip $30 yikes! 6.99 @ for the Senior slams, 4. 50 for coffees? And five dollar tip Yep that’s ridiculous….. we don’t visit Denny’s too much it’s way overpriced for what it used to be before Covid. Wasn’t spectacular today. It doesn’t even come on a big plate. It comes on small tiny plates. I was shocked won’t be coming there again unfortunately this place on Wells has a bad reputation right by Highway 80.

The cook burnt the pancakes and the manager tried to talk over me when I called and complained. I have been going here for a long time over 10+ and I always tip. I think they should take more pride in their food and check it before they send out items.

Waitress brought us dirty coffee cups and had an attitude when we asked her to give us clean ones. Then we ordered soup and a breakfast sandwich . She brought us cold soup and blamed it on the manager when we complained. We asked another waitress to take soup off our menu as it was cold. Our waitress came over and said what's wrong. We explained she brought us cold soup and we aren't going to pay for it so take it off our ticket. She She ugh and then said your not being very nice. She made us the customer feel like we were the problem. I've been dining at this Dennys for thirty years and even worked at it. I'm appalled at the lack of customer service. I won't be eating there again.

Ah, Denny's on Wells - where classic diner vibes meet the comfort of homestyle meals. From early morning breakfasts to late-night cravings, this spot has proven time and again to be a culinary haven for all. Walking in, you're greeted with that unmistakable aroma of sizzling bacon, fresh pancakes, and a medley of delightful dishes being whipped up. The ambiance is precisely what you'd expect from a Denny's: cozy, welcoming, and unpretentiously charming. It’s a throwback to simpler times when all you needed for a good evening was a hearty meal and good company. The menu, as always, offers a plethora of choices. Whether you're in for the classic Grand Slam, or venturing into one of their seasonal specials, satisfaction is guaranteed. But what truly makes this Denny's stand out is its impeccable staff. Warm smiles, attentive service, and genuine conversations - they add a sprinkle of joy to every meal. Beyond the dishes, its location on Wells ensures easy access, making it a favorite pit-stop for both locals and travelers alike. Plus, the consistency in the quality of food and service makes it a reliable choice, any day, any time. In the vast culinary landscape, Denny's on Wells shines brightly as a beacon of comfort food and warm hospitality. Whether it's a family dinner, a catch-up with old friends, or just some me-time with a cup of coffee and a slice of pie, this place wraps you in its embrace and reminds you of the simple pleasures of life. Kudos, Denny's on Wells! You're not just serving meals; you're dishing out memories. 🍳🥞🌟

The food isn't exceptional, but its edible. The server was EXCELLENT!! He was friendly, honest, flawless delivery, informative and he used charm to quiet down the intoxicated juveniles nearby. They should make many of these rare waitstaff .

I ordered on line through google, told me my food would be ready at 3:30 I arrived at 3:50 and food was still not ready, I waited until 4:35 and was handed me my order but it was missing both biscuits and gravey so I had to order something for my kids and was told to get a refund I would have to do it on line because that is how I placed my order, after trying on line, I was told by customer service I would need to go through the store to get my refund…. I gave up after all it was only $5 but it wasn’t as easy as placing an order through door dash or Postmates so I learned my lesson but the food was okay not worth the wait that’s for sure! It was a Sunday and I was told they only had 1 cook so it might be better if you order Mon-sat maybe!?

Dining area was very clean, our table especially. Sara was our waitress(I hope I remembered the name right). Breakfast of Santa fe sizzles was soon fresh, hot, delicious. Front entrance leading inside the restaurant needed a tash pickup. Enjoyed the visit.

Do not bother trying this location! Seat yourself, no water, silverware , just a half clean table. Had to keep asking for every single thing. The person that was waiting the table was pleasant enough but was more involved with the current staff drama then customer needs. I would honestly say this was and is the worst Dennys Ive ever ate at. $43.00 for french toast, I will say pass this location by in your travels.

Food was just average but customer service was horrible. Waited almost 10 minutes for the 2 of us to get seated even though there was nobody ahead of us. Nobody even acknowledged we were there. Then about 30 minutes to get our food. Only good thing was the food was hot. This was on a Saturday night about 10:30 and was only about 1/2 full. Only went because the place we wanted to go was closed. A good ace to go when there's nowhere else

Came in for some breakfast at 10:30 am. Took a minute to get seated. Waitress did not bring silverware until prompted. Waited thirty minutes for food and asked for refills twice food never came and refill requested were ignored. When we got up to pay host told us our food had been waiting and the waitresses never brought our food. Terrible service. Won't be back. Even though my work is just blocks away I'll drive elsewhere.

Not very happy with this Dennys. Why is OATMEAL not on the menu for a breakfast item? I wanted oatmeal and fruit but decided in trying a crepe, which was chewy and the cream inside was just a sugar substance, no cream cheese. Kinda gross and just awful. The bacon given were two slivers of maybe the end piece. They did crisp up my hashbrowns nicely.

The staff was excellent I will say that. This Dennys was like stepping back in time. Neon on the walls, baby puke yellow an baby poop brown were the wall colors. The glass windows and entry way doors were filthy. The bathroom was a horrible sight! Filthy floors, I had to take tissue from another stall, which was not functioning. The bathroom did have soap to wash hands and paper towels. The food was okay the Lemonade was on point. The price wasn't too bad either. ONLY EAT HERE IF YOU HAVE TO.

The atmosphere would be nicer if the manager didn’t be loud and bossy with the employees. Is better not to boss orders around and just ask with a sweet voice. I don’t think she means to do this at all. She needs practice with the challenge of being nice, because it does sound trashy without knowing. They’re food is always good though, 5 stars for the food. 😃

Every time I have ordered online for "pick-up" I have to wait a 1/2 hour. It is really close to my house and I would come more often. But, this is far too typical. The food servers are great it's always the kitchen staff that seems to lag. I would hate to drive off of highway 80 for a quick meal here.

Was pleasantly surprised, in a world where lately we pay more and get less the portion sizes we almost old school normal. Pleasant Crew and it was 5 am. I was happy we stop here. If you liked Denny's before, you love their consistency, if you didn't like them before, you will now, in comparison to other restaurants of the same style. Truly

It's a 50/50 experience. My first visit was a busy Sunday morning but, after being seated others sat after us were served first with a starting beverage after a 10 min wait and never receiving our drinks even after ordering our food we walked out. Our second visit was early morning 5am ish went better but my plate tasted off after getting off a 12 hour day of work I just ate and left felt sick all day. Our server was great but other staff rude. Only will return if we have to.

We ordered breakfast today from Dennys on Wells Avenue. The food was very good. I rate it 4 1/2 stars this morning. I had cinnamon roll pancakes with scrambled eggs and cheese, plus hash browns. The turkey bacon, however, was not well cooked. My husband ordered a Philly Steak omelette. The meat was prime rib. He really liked it. We both loved the cinnamon roll pancakes. Really, Really Good!

Well the service wasn’t that great. Our waiter was talking and wasn’t paying attention. Took about 15-20 minutes. Wasn’t packed, there was me and my family and 2 other tables with people. Food was delicious overall.

Great for an after-party meet spot. Good food, open late. Although the area & motel next to this location are sketchy so make sure to lock your car doors for sure. Over all the prices aren't that bad either. So maybe I'll see you there one late night.

Nice place for breakfast. Extremely busy place on a Sunday morning. We ordered steaks for breakfast and the food came out quick. For a moment, I thought I was eating potato salad, but then I asked the waitress to replace the mash potatoes since they are cold. T-bone and sirloin tasted great. Shakes tasted great. They even gave the extra shake from the shaker too. Restrooms are fine but only one stall and one urinal for a restaurant this size is probably not gonna work out well. There was a line for the women’s room.

Worst service ever. Went there for 2 items and the cashier, a black man, didn’t get our order right. We called and said we would be back the next day to pick up the item that was missing. Same cashier, gave us a hard time, didn’t want to give us the item and was so rude. He said for us to be more respectful ……. Are you freaking kidding me!!!!! We were respectful and we won’t be coming back. Does the cashier even know how to check the order or count to 2!!!!! That cashier needs training on how to treat customers. This place has gone down hill. Poor service, long wait and some staff are very rude. I didn’t even want to give one star.

Upon entering, there are homeless walking around outside. There are breadcrumbs all over the seats, and the tables are not cleaned properly. Service was bad, the woman serving us had very long hair and she didn't have it up in a ponytail, which made me feel like I had hair in my food. She also wasn't dressed properly and looked homeless. The food wasn't too bad but it could've been better. Overall, I didn't feel good eating here and I wouldn't recommend it.

My daughter and I went in on my birthday. You no longer get a grand slam now it's an everyday slam, which is fine. My biscuits and gravy were gross, the gravy tastes like thickened milk, I ordered a side of hash brown being it doesn't come with it. They were was over 4.00 and we're burnt to a crisp. What a birthday let down, we won't be back

  • 2/5 alona c. 7 months ago on Google
The staff was nice and friendly, but the food was mediocre at best. Chicken strips over cooked, French fries undercooked. Mozzarella sticks were the only redeeming quality.

  • 1/5 Krissy B. 7 months ago on Google
Never even got through the door. We had a small service dog with us. She can detect an asthma attack. She never leaves my arms. As we walked in the door, we were told no dogs, then the hostess loudly yelled that we have to have her on the ground under the table on a leash, no barking, no feeding her, then the man manager came over and raised his voice saying the same thing... I felt so embarrassed and disrespected. We just walked out. The hostess at the door and manager could have been nicer about things, that was ridiculous. Never again!!!

  • 1/5 William T. 11 months ago on Google
I don’t usually take the time to write a bad review, but there wasn’t a single redeeming quality of this experience. The coffee was terrible and they had no creamer to mitigate the taste. The food wasn’t warm enough, the bread and meat were soggy and tasteless. Don’t get me wrong, I usually really enjoy my Denny experiences. But this store in particular left a bad taste in my mouth.

  • 3/5 Debbie A. 1 year ago on Google
It's very nice that Dennys gives a free Grand Slam when it's your birthday. We went in to have breakfast on my husbands birthday. First, the over easy eggs were hard and brown, so we sent them back. When the plate came back, eggs were perfect and cold ,sausage cold, hashbrowns, and pancakes one ice cold, the other warm, The waitress was nice but too busy to refill our coffee.

Anytime I need to pick up a breakfast for a flight this place does not disappoint. Always have hot food and great service. Also has attention to detail with a specific menu item. Highly recommend this place if you want a great breakfast made to order.

I am not one to leave not nice reviews. But I have to give patrons a heads up. The staff is not very friendly. The riff raff allowed to hang out and pan handle is a no for me and my kiddos. And the wait time and quality of food makes it almost unbearable. Please Denny's step in and restore this one. It's a great location with lots of potential!!

I had bourbon chicken breasts with broccoli and cut up potatoes.Served on a sizzling skillet-- cost around 12.99 It was excellent. Dining room was mostly empty. Waitress, Judy, was absolutely phenomenal.

  • 4/5 Paul M. 1 year ago on Google
Food was good. Servers and cashiers quite friendly and brought out my order under 15minutes. I think it was about 12.5 minutes. plus or minus. But I think they met the Hospitality standards of under 15 minutes. Again, food was good.

  • 2/5 Edie W. 1 year ago on Google
Price was great but the food was not. The eggs were cold and bacon was ok. Pancakes were cold and chewy. Left them sitting there. Waitress offered to microwave them. I was less than happy with my breakfast. The waitress apologized but simply could have picked up the plate upon my complaint and had new ones made.

  • 1/5 Antonio S. 1 year ago on Google
This the second time I come here to eat with my family. For an establishment that says they server gluten-free items in their menu is a lie. If you have celiac disease just like me this isn't the place for you to come and eat. I don't recommend it. I wouldn't even given a start if I had a chose. On top of everything dirty dishes I was scrapping grim of the cups. Really bad services over all.

Dig this spot. Never any issues from the awesome Gals that work there. And today was no different. except for the guys that work there. Around 11- noon. A gentleman parked in the handicapped spot. Put his chair together and came in and got his Togo order. As he made it back to his vehicle. all of the men stood and laughed at him. Seriously. this is what mexican guys do? My wife had to physically stop be. I was going to make sure all of them were going to end up with a permanent disability. I cannot believe the types of people at this location. if I ever show up and have to deal with any of them. You can bet they will get stiffed and have THE worst night of their soon to end Danny's employment.
