Fun museum to visit. The car placards have detailed information about them. The sets that they have created to go along with the cars add an immersive effect. I wish they had some hands-on stuff for children or a vehicle a child could get into. Even an old car horn a child could honk would be nice. My daughter still enjoyed herself but this is definitely more aimed at adults.

The National Automobile Museum in Reno is an amazing museum to visit if you like cars. There are over a hundred cars in the museum with different galleries that change for the era of cars in each gallery. There are also some historic famous cars that were either celebrity cars, in movies, or just one of a kind cars. They also have different exhibits and change out a few cars about every three months or so. Well worth a visit if in Reno to see some amazing cars throughout history.

Fantastic auto museum! The displays take you through automotive history decades at a time. And they have a large selection of rare and odd cars. They also have some famous cars that have been in movies including the Batmobile. If you’re coming to Reno this is a great way to spend two hours. Any car enthusiast will thoroughly enjoy the museum

Highly recommended! If you have an hour or 2 to spare, use it here! It's incredible! So many cars and in different areas from the 1900s to present. Every car has a story so if you want to read all of them, it might take you 3 to 4 hours. Very friendly and helpful staff and clean restrooms. Plenty of parking also.

Fantastic museum, with a large variety of cars. Thoroughly recommended. Easy parking and you can come and go all day, so handy if you want to walk into downtown Reno and then come back

This place is amazing they have so many cool cars you could spend a day in one room. They even had the car from the back to the gutter movies. A new car they got is a barbie car which is really cool.

It was something to visit while I was in downtown Reno. Maybe my expectations were too high, but It wasn't my favorite car museum. There are to many early 1900s cars especially from foreign companies. Not many cars past 1950. There are absolutely no muscle cars. One of the only cool parts was the seeing a few vehicles from hit movies.

I went here for my husband, but I really enjoyed it. Loved the history and cultural aspect and seeing such interesting and beautiful cars, and that's coming from someone who could normally not care about such things. Give yourself a couple hours here.

I’m a long time car guy, I’ve visited lots of museums, restored plenty of cars and this collection is one of the best I’ve seen. Absolutely, worth a stop or a detour. Side benefit - the volunteer on duty was pleasant, helpful and passionate about the cars. A must visit for any car or history buff.

We loved everything about this museum. The displays are amazing. The people who work there are friendly. There is even a movie theater inside to learn about automobiles. Love the history lesson of the automobile with all the visual aids ;^)

Fantastic, surprisingly amazing place to spend a few hours. If you have a chance to take a tour with the docent - you'll find this even more interesting. Incredible collection of trigger point and history making automobiles gives you a feel for the evolution of the entire automotive industry. So many interesting exhibits, informative signage for each, and really nice displays - like gas stations, streets scenes, and other great setting to complement the autos. The story of how this exhibit came to be is almost as interesting as the autos themselves. I learned so much from the docent, and I thought I was already kind of a car guy. I'll be back again, it was that good! Highly recommended, even if you're not a car guy - you'll learn why cars today work the way they do, and reasons why. Thanks for making this such a great museum!

This place is absolutely awesome. 4 huge galleries of every kind of car imaginable. Celeb cars, old cars, race cars, you name it! Great historical explanations too and interactive stuff for kids. They even have a curatorial theme of women in cars. If Reno's tawdry side has you down, come here. Wish all museums were this engaging. A true gem.

Man lernt so einiges :-)

Ohne Zweifel das Highlight von Reno. Sehr viele Autos, im sehr guten Zustand, sehr schön präsentiert. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr gesprächigen, erzählen gerne über das Museum.

We have been here before and really enjoyed it. This time was much the same. We got lost in history for a couple hours and enjoyed chatting with the volunteers. Turns out they have started a rotation with other museums to freshen things up & have added a Tesla semi prototype and some other Tesla vehicles/tech which was unexpected. American Graffiti exhibit was a pleasant surprise too! Love this place and so glad to see it's still doing well.

Lots of rare classic cars, highlight for me was the Hollywood section. If you are remotely interested in cars or history of cars, this is a worthwhile use of your time in Reno.

Definitely a place to stop in if you're a car fanatic. Expect about 2 hrs to see them all. So many nostalgic cars and history too.

Wide range of cars from the dawn of automobiles through the 2000s. Great info placards with the highlights and interesting facts. Blackhawk Museum was my favorite car museum until now.

One of the largest, most interesting and lovingly maintained car museum, I have ever visited. Cars of many decades, beautiful polished. The whole ambiente is tuned to the models. There are also famous cars on display. Cars from movies and TV and cars, formerly owened by celebraties like Elvis Presley, John Wayne or John F. Kennedy. Don't underestimate the size of the museum. It's definitly worth the 15 Dollar entrance fee.

The very best!! I love bringing friends and family here when they visit Reno- it truly is a must-see for anyone who loves movies, cats, history, really they have it all! Most recently brought my baby brother here for the holidays and he loved it! They truly care about keeping these cars looking lovely and they have so many fascinating tidbits of history- including cars that have raced out on the salt flats of Utah! Unique, beautiful experience, perfect for adults and kids that are old enough to be respectful and not touch the displays.

$15 was well worth the adventure of exploring the evolution of cars in American history. Within such a small space, the museum managed to pack much historical significance and fun into a themed experience.

It's been a while since I've been here! 1st stop with the kiddo was the Disney Car's character's. Then off to all the old cars. Where I got to listen to the mind of an 8 year old talk about these fantastic old cars. We loved seeing KITT from Knight Rider. The DeLorean from Back to the Future was great. The original Batmobile was pretty cool. It surely was a great visit and we'll return soon. The movie theater was nice to watch Car's in but needed better sound. Other than that our visit was awesome and we loved seeing all the old cars.

Great museum, a lot of history and great unique cars. The car collection was varied and the whole museum is very well organized and clean. I recommend taking the 1:30pm tour. The guide was extremely knowledgeable about all the cars, the history of the car industry in America, and will answer any question you have. Definitely a must go museum for any car and history enthusiast.
